A serene holiday park in the midst of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, Langcliffe Park offers a tranquil escape amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the much-loved National Park. Encompassing 841 square miles, the Yorkshire Dales National Park boasts 1,633 miles of footpaths, abundant flora and fauna, and captivating views of the unique 'Dales' terrain, making it a coveted destination for those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Unlike many holiday parks, Langcliffe Park distinguishes itself by embracing quietude. Devoid of a bar, restaurant, or entertainment facilities, it serves as a haven for relaxation and a strategic base for planning exciting adventures within the expansive National Park. While it radiates tranquillity, the park is far from isolated, conveniently located just a five-minute drive from the A65 and a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the historic market town of Settle.

Settle itself offers an array of amenities, including cafes, restaurants, shops, fuel stations, and entertainment options, ensuring that visitors have easy access to necessities and diversions.

Langcliffe Park provides over 30 pitches for those eager to explore the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. The National Park, with its distinctive landscape, offers a myriad of possibilities for exploration, encouraging repeat visits from satisfied patrons. The park is specifically designed to cater to couples and families rather than large groups, emphasizing a peaceful atmosphere conducive to fully enjoying the natural wonders surrounding it.

The park offers two types of pitches: 'Standard electric,' equipped with electric hook-ups, and 'Deluxe,' which includes electric hook-ups along with water and waste points. All pitches feature flat, hard-standing surfaces with space for one car and an awning. Many pitches offer stunning views, and returning visitors often request their preferred spots.

Langcliffe Park provides essential facilities to enhance the camping experience. A short distance away, a shower/toilet block offers disabled facilities and free hot showers. Additional amenities include a washing-up area, a chemical toilet disposal point, a motorhome waste emptying point, a recycling area, and a laundrette.

The park is equipped with WiFi, ensuring online access for those who wish to stay connected. Families with children can take advantage of the outdoor play area, while a dedicated 'ball games' area caters to sports enthusiasts. A dog walking field accommodates furry friends, making Langcliffe Park a welcoming destination for pet owners.

In essence, Langcliffe Park stands as a quiet and idyllic base for embarking on a Yorkshire Dales adventure. Its commitment to serenity, coupled with well-appointed facilities and proximity to Settle, makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature.

Plusses and minuses!

Bending, Claire - 10/05/2024

The check in system was a little odd, after 5pm you had to call a number but I didn't have any phone signal. Thankfully a member of staff was around. The pitch was fine and the toilets and showers were clean, although water pressure and temperature was temperamental, especially for washing up. Really handy location for walking into Settle which was a big plus point, you can then get the bus or train.WiFi worked well. The two downsides for us were a dog that barked a lot near our pitch, late at night and 6am in the morning as well as in the day. Didn't really want to be woken that early on holiday. The other one was that no ball games were allowed on the central grass area, the kids were supposed to go and play on an area behind a wood, which you could only access through the dog exercise area. There were no benches for parents to sit on so you just had to hover about. You couldn't see the area from the campsite so couldn't let them play unsupervised.

Superb

Welcoming, spotlessly clean, heated facilities. Pitch required leveling ramps, but were spacious.20 minute walk into Settle, which has a train station. Good for access to the 3 Yorkshire Peaks. Good pubs in town, the Talbot Arms in particular.

Tidy park in a great setting

Brydon, Antonia - 10/05/2024

We really enjoyed our stay. For the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and efficient. The pitches were well kept and the facilities immaculate. Some of the pitches slope a little which was fine in our caravan but I imagine motorhomes and campervan might need their levelling ramps. The play park was fun, with a great slide!

Friendly staff. Well spaced level pitches. Beautiful scenery. Clean facilities. Walking distance to town. Best local cafe The Folly Coffee House. Lovely walk along river to Knight’s Table. Highly recommend.Would not put us off but be aware there is a paper mill near by so some extra traffic noise. On the plus side it has a lovely mill pond where you can see wildlife. One thing that could be improved are the ladies showers. The water pressure is too fierce and push button is on far too short a timer. We enjoyed and have booked again

I have returned to Lancliffe Park many times as it is a beautiful site with excellent facilities and very helpful friendly staff. Lovely picturesque walk along the River to Stainforth with beautiful waterfalls and return via the interesting Hoffmann's kiln. Only a short walk into Settle too for shops and good pubs. Perfect.

A great local (to us) site

Delahaye, Cathy - 03/05/2024

We stay at Langcliffe usually once or twice a year in our MH. Always been happy with cleanliness, it is absolutely spotless and the whole site is beautifully maintained. The fully serviced pitches in Heathers Field are our favourites. Views from site are 360 degrees of Yorkshire beauty. It’s a flat, easy half mile walk into Settle with its range of shops, pubs and restaurants or equi-distance to Giggleswick with another couple of good pubs with food. A perfect spot for reaching the Yorkshire 3 peaks and beyond. We particularly like the walks over to neighbouring villages, Feizor and Austwick and the riverside walk to Stainforth. For us a great place for a weekend getaway.

Excellent base for walks, very professional staff and great shower blocks

Aspin, Valerie - 02/05/2024

This park was a wonderful base for us. The park itself is very well equipped. The loos and showers are spotless and smelt lovely on every visit. We had strong wifi (near the mast) and the staff is really nice and helpful. You can arrive slightly later than the opening time as there is a wardenWalking wise it was perfect too. We did two walks directly from the site. One easy one up the valley towards little Stainforth. There is an amazing waterfall there and a nice restaurant with good views before coming back. The other one was a much more strenuous walk in the hills starting at langcliffe village and then going back to Settle, which is a lovely market town with everything you need. We also drove to Ingleton waterfalls (Motorhome parking there for free or also at the community centre). The walk is expensive at £10 a head but well worthwhile as it is gorgeous and very safe. We'd love to come back to the site. It was wonderful!
