For nearly 100 years, Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.
The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.
The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.
The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.

Showers and toilets kept clean and in good condition. Although we never went to the bar/restaurant we were told its was very nice and there was a games area upstairs with pool and darts. We had a lovely walk into Settle along the river. It is also a good base for walks around Malham Cove and Ingleton falls. Highly recommend site, good for families and a play area for children.
Nice site could do with levelling up pitches and more wc and showers has not enough for amount of people on site staff very friendly and lovely pub that do lovely meals access to site a bit tight very narrow road site kept you up to date with road closures and best way to get to site
We came here as a group over the bank holiday weekend for my sisters birthday. Upon arrival, the site is very well maintained with beautiful views. We did not use the toilets and showers however heard from others that they were very clean. We used the on site bar for food and it was delicious and very reasonably priced, plus the staff were lovely. Strict rules for quiet at 10pm, however this does not bother us what so ever, if anything we prefer it. The only one thing I could possibly pick at, would be better WiFi over near the caravans. We had no WiFi or signal but it didn’t ruin our stay what so ever! We will 100% return.
We stayed 3 nights here and the facilities and location are excellent. The shower blocks are clean and tidy, the WiFi is useful (Although you can tell when a lot of people are using it!) and the electric hook ups are stable. The onsite pub and restaurant is a real bonus and the food and service there is excellent. The onsite shop is handy for your basics. You are also a short driving distance to shops\pubs\supermarket and also access to a number of walks including the Yorkshire 3 peaks aren't too far away. We will be back!
Very friendly welcome, nicely laid out site. Our hard standing pitch was sizeable & located close to the amenities block. Loads of hot water for showers & dish washing.
I would definitely recommend this campsite for the views, and location and had a lovely walk into Settle along the river. The site was clean, nice and quiet, pub on sire, staff very pleaseant and helpful. The shower block was spotlessly. I will definitely be booking again soon.
Friendly and helpful staff at reception.Spacious pitchAmazing viewsGood dog area, contained so off leadLovely wooded walkGreat access to river and walk to SettlePeaceful when we stayedLovely toilet facilities, however the piped radio throughout was far too loud, especially first thing in the morningThe soap dispensers near the main sinks were empty and not refilledNice restaurant on site but we didnt get chance to try itWould definitely stay again
We have stayed here numerous times. Lovely clean site. Large pitches and very friendly staff. The river is only a 2 minute walk and Settle village is only a 2.5 mile walk. The pub/restaurant does good food and drinks (dogs welcome) The only downside I could fine is the showers, they really need updating and in the earlier months of the year some heating would be good. However this does not stop us from returning each year.Thank you all 😃
Very friendly staff and a wonderfully situated place for walking. Lovely showers too. Pub serves reasonably good beer and delicious food. It's a bit of a challenge getting there atm as the most convenient road is closed, so a 3 mile excursion is needed. Definitely recommend this site for walkers and those wanting a relaxing break. But make sure you take chocks
Everything was just perfect. Booking, check in, facilities, views, wonderfully quiet, good walks and even the weather. 2 days of recharging our batteries
