Knight Stainforth is a family run Caravan park, offering guests a warm welcome ensuring guests have a memorable stay.

For nearly 100 years, Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.

The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.

The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.

The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.

The location of this site is superb… outstanding views… very good amenities and excellent food served at the Knights Table… excellent walking to be had on the doorstep and the surrounding area… an idyllic start to our tour of North Yorkshire..

This is a really lovely site in a fabulous location with walks straight from the site itself. Facilities were very clean and serviced regularly. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back again and would definitely recommend. We ate in the Knights Table restaurant on site and were amazed at the value and quality - it was a special night of Mediterranean food. Easy access to the river and lovely river walk too. Easy to walk to Settle.

Lovely site. Staff lovely and friendly. Had a problem with our water pump and Paul came to help us sort it - nothing was too much trouble. Couldn’t sort it but it didn’t matter as we had pitch side water and electric so we made a do! The site facilities were lovely and clean and warm too! The on-site restaurant was superb - the food, the staff and very doggie friendly too! I honestly couldn’t fault this gem of a site and will definitely be returning soon.

This was our 3rd visit and definitely won’t be our last , we found everything great.One thing that would have enhanced our stay is a simple hot food takeaway facility independent to the very busy booked up restaurant. Other camp sites we have visited offered food from mobile units. This however is the only think that would have improved our stay.Enjoyable as ever, looking forward to to our next visit
