For nearly 100 years, Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.
The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.
The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.
The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.

First time in Yorkshire. Only here for 2 nights but will definitely be back again and stay longer. Ate at the onsite restaurant which was beautiful. All home cooked food would thoroughly recommend. I also loved the river that flows just beside the campsite. lovely walks along here. Thanks for a great holiday x
Not great for tents, next to no flat ground in the designated tent section which doesn’t make sense hahah. Really struggled to find somewhere to pitch up. The lady on the desk was lovely though and showers and toilets were clean. Loads of toilets but could maybe do with a few more showers. Lovely river just behind the campsite and lovely walks about. Everything else was great but could do with evening out some land for tent people. Felt safe as a solo female
Enjoyed our two night stay here. Wonderful location, great views, very close to spectacular waterfall. The key code on the loos seemed a bit unnecessary, the hot water taps were too hot but Stuart from that mooring to complain about. Recommended.
In the most gorgeous setting, Knight Stainforth Hall gave us a perfect base for a long weekend. The hardstanding pitch had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and was spacious. There are fabulous walks directly from the site and the river that borders it - although quite dry due to the conditions - is lovely spot for a paddle or a dip.The facilities block was of a good standard with plenty of loos and sinks. There are only three ladies' showers which can cause queues but they are warm and very clean. There's a great family atmosphere, yet the layout means that those who don't have children with them can also enjoy peace and quiet.Have to give a mention to the Knights Table bar and restaurant - we just had one meal and drinks in there but it was lovely, with delicious home produced meat. The outside area and covered seating look like like best places for a coffee or snack with an amazing view.Access is via a road which is single track in places, but it's fairly quie
We love our stays at Knight Stainforth and look forward to our next visit
If your caravan/camping lovers and all you want is to cut of from the day to day hassle of life, this the place for you. The beautiful surroundings along with an outstanding service, from the spotless clean showers, toilets, etc to the friendly staff this site is 5 stars. Chris and Paul have surpassed themselves in the quality and maintenance everywhere on site. They were super friendly & welcoming. We have been on so called dog friendly camping sites before, but this site treat dogs as equals, in every way, great to see dog lovers enjoying all the facilities, special thank you from Lola. A very short walk brings you to the river/waterfalls with rope swings, with grown ups & children diving into the clear water, fantastic. The camp is in a bit of a valley so the phone/internet/WiFi, can be a bit rubbish at busy times, but hay, that just adds to the isolation from the real world, not a bad thing! The Knights table restaurant/pub welcomes well behaved dogs, also a lovely friendly place
We have been going to knights for over 14 years We return every summer for a short trip for the flower pot festival and play Knights is very well situated with water settle pools and so much more We look forward to our visit next year It had great facilities onsite toilet blocks is brill and always clean You must visit
We had an amazing time staying at this campsite, a lovely welcome as we arrived to check in, facilities are very clean, well looked after and plenty toilets and showers for everyone, there are also laundry facilities.I liked the security of your own pin number for the gate/toilet block We stayed on the bottom non electric field which was lovely and quiet, perfect for us.The Knights Table pub/restaurant was excellent, for us to be able to have beautiful gluten free food and a cask beer onsite was a very welcome addition to our stay! There are surrounding area is beautiful, both to look at and walk/hike, we will definitely be returning.
Great site to relax and enjoy the Dales . Bar and Restaurant highly recommended . Plenty if activities on the site for families plus plenty of adventures nearby
