For nearly 100 years, Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.

The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.

The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.

The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.

Fantastic site

Van Weerdenburg, Marc - 21/03/2024

Fantastic site, We stayed here for 3 nights. The site was well maintained and the pitch was spacious with water and EHU. We booked the knights table Mexican dinning experience on the first night which was fantastic. We also ate in the restaurant one lunchtime and this was also great 👍 we didn't use the amenities block but we did have a look and they were also very nice. Couldn't find any fault with anything and we would definitely recommend and return, even just for one night for the dinning experience.Thankyou for the stay 5*****

Would recommend the site to anyone the site and amenities are of high standard. The restaurant is fantastic and excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The area is fantastic if you want to go walking and exploring the area and a short walk to settle down the river to the shops. We have stayed twice and have already booked to go back.

40 years of seeing the changes

Beaumont, Sandra - 14/03/2024

I have been coming to this site for 40 years...and seen its many changes and improvements. These have been kept in good keeping with the original feel of the campsite. Love the Knights Table restaurant, its food is delicious and such a welcoming place. The toilet block is always spotless. Showers were closed this visit. Being at the side of the river is its real gem, it is simply beautiful.

Excellent experience

Freer, Susan - 18/01/2024

This was our fourth stay at Knight Stainforth. Absolutely love it here and we definitely will be coming back again. It's set in beautiful countryside and right next to the river.Facilities are brilliant, pitches are large..and most have water and electric. The staff are absolutely brilliant and happy to help with any problems. The Knights Table....restaurant/coffee shop is on site and worth a visit . Food is freshly cooked, large portions and well priced.Lots of walking routes right from the site...Settle and Feizor only a short walk away but the routes do have ladder stiles so you need to be able to climb..Such a wonderful place...

Disappointed

Bower, Terence - 04/01/2024

Your campsite is excellent, but the restaurant & bar was closed over the new year period while we was there, this should have been made clear on your website when we booked, so we were extremely disappointed especially as the weather was horrendous and we would have had somewhere to go to eat and drink.
