For over 90 years Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.
The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.
The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.
The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.
Two super king-size double bedrooms and one single bedroom.
A delightful stone-built mid-terrace cottage, situated near the beautiful river on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Stainforth, 3 miles from Settle, and just 5-10 minutes walk from the site itself.
This is a charming Stainforth cottage, fully refurbished and styled to provide a good quality holiday home in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
This Stainforth cottage features a sitting room with warm and cosy wood burning stove, a well-equipped adjoining kitchen, three delightful bedrooms, two with flexible accommodation, a pretty enclosed front garden and a patio area to the rear of the cottage.
Various walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of this Stainforth cottage, on the Pennine Way and in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, while the more energetic visitor can 'clock in' at Horton-in-Ribblesdale's Pen-y-Ghent cafe and take on the challenge of the Three Peaks walk!
For those less inclined towards the great outdoors, there are many sightseeing activities in the area around this cottage in Stainforth - visit the Hoffman Kiln at Langcliffe, the Falconry Centre and the market towns of Settle and Skipton. And what better way to end the day than the short walk to the heart of the village - the local pub? A great Stainforth cottage and location whatever the time of year.

Great place stunning views toilets and showers always clean and the meals in the restaurant are fantastic staff really friendly and helpful Thanks for making it a great break
Great location in the Dales not far from Settle. Plenty of walks from the site so there’s no need to drive once you’ve pitched up. Pitches are well spaced out some have water in addition to ehu.Lovely cafe on site that does take away meals.
Very Satisfied with accessibility (keep clear of the ribble bridge with a vehicle though) and location, staff friendliness and helpfulness, cleanliness of toilets / playground etc, facilities and amenities, activities, safety, price, surrounding area, local attractions, restaurant on site is excellent.
A lovely place, friendly and helpful staff, very clean facilities, amazing food, good wine! All in the beautiful Yorkshire Dale's.
Great location, near river for swimming and with takeaway on site. Quiet and peaceful at night. Clean and well kept facilities (no fridges though). Playground for kids with option of pitching nearby, or in another field closer to the river instead. Would recommend this site without hesitation.
Excellent campsite, very friendly staff, good facilities... Amazing views!
Honestly one of the best sites I’ve been to, really clean and well maintained. The restaurant is excellent, toilets cleaned daily & friendly staff.Location is amazing, loads of great walks, river at the bottom of the site, settles an hours walk away that’s full of places to eat drink & shop.
The day we arrived there had been a power cut which had taken electric from the site. This was no fault of the owners as it was utility company doing work elsewhere however the site owners had generators working their freezers and kindly offered to freeze anything which we wanted - great service in the circumstances. Our pitch was a great size with plenty of room for the caravan, awning and car plus room to spare for the BBQ and to accommodate a table to eat outside. The location for walkers and cyclist is perfect with plenty of routes straight from the site. The site backs onto the river with very picturesque water cascades and a nice riverside walk to Settle (approx 2 miles). The site itself was very well maintained with grass and hedges cut tidily. Shower and loo facilities were clean and tidy.Overall this is a great site - so nice we extended our stay to enjoy it for a little longer!
The site was well maintained and great for family’s the park is great to entertain the children and the toilets and shower blocks were clean and well maintained overall an amazing time
Great having an onsite bar/restaurant (you need to book). Very well run campsite, with lovely staff. Showers are a bit peculiar in that they are not attached to toilet areas; so functional but not the best. Hard standing pitches are a good size and most have restful views. Camping area was very busy at the weekend and even on the touring pitches occupants were many in number. Guests did not seem to think an 11pm quiet time existed for them ; but this is not the camp sites fault. The camp site is very good value for money. Overall we very much enjoyed out stay.
