Superb site and location

Innes, Alasdair - 25/04/2024

We stayed two nights in a tent with electric hook up. The site is pretty much level, and although we have had six months of near solid rain, the ground was soft but not waterlogged. We were welcomed by Nigel who was friendly and helpful, and we hired a fire pit and bought some of the heat logs. They burn really well, hot, and no sparks. The views are lovely, and the walk to both village pubs is only 5 mins through the church yard. The church bells do chime every quarter hour - I loved the sound, others may not, but that’s part of the country 🙂The bathrooms and pot wash are immaculate with very efficient underfloor heating. The hot water is also plentiful and the showers do not have the annoying timer buttons, just normal taps 👍🏼All in all we had a lovely weekend.

Fantastic site in an amazing location

Rennie, Paul - 25/04/2024

Great little camp spot with amazing facilities. Little village had a couple little pub/restaurants with cold beer and great food.Would love to see a few hard pitches for the smaller campers but not a deal breaker at all.

Great campsite in an amphitheatre of limestone

Maney, Dan - 25/04/2024

What do you need from a campsite? Level ground and a clean toilet block. It has both those. A genuinely nice guy checked me in, and gave me some walking ideas. The village is wonderful with three pubs - one is closed at the moment - serving great food. The only small issue is that the church clock chimes every quarter of an hour all night. And if you have OCD it’s an hour and two minutes slow. Earplugs made that a smaller issue though. Great campsite. Go here and you won’t regret it.

Great location, great facilities, great service!

Nicholson, Josh - 19/04/2024

We only spent one night during our first visit to this area. Upon our arrival, we reached out to Nigel, who quickly greeted us, facilitated our check-in process, guided us to our designated spot, and acquainted us with the camp's amenities. Thankfully, it wasn't overly crowded that day, granting us the choice of a prime location—opting for a secluded corner shielded by a sturdy dry stone wall. The facilities, including the pot wash room and shower facilities, exceeded our expectations. Impeccably clean, snug, and outfitted with top-notch fixtures, the showers boasted piping hot water that was so inviting, one found it difficult to leave.Kettlewell has great pubs, walks and views!Nigel's assistance extended beyond our check-in, as we encountered an issue with our car the morning of departure. Nigel promptly jump-started it, allowing us to depart without further delay. From beginning to end, our stay was brilliant and we can’t wait to return!

Impressive!

Dofe The Stephen Perse Foundation, Russell McAlinden - 18/04/2024

The facilities are very modern, clean and well looked after, and the site is so peaceful, even with the odd DofE group passing through. In fact I was with a DofE group of my own, and the site owner has now opened a new field opposite the main site, just for DofE.The one limiting factor is how soft the ground is for vehicles. Highly recommend using the local village car park is possible.

Have used the site previously for DofE. Super supportive of our young people. Also, by keeping the site in such good order, it helps the participants respect the area and I’m sure it helps them settle and respect other site users. It’s fantastic to have this site close by
