We only spent one night during our first visit to this area. Upon our arrival, we reached out to Nigel, who quickly greeted us, facilitated our check-in process, guided us to our designated spot, and acquainted us with the camp's amenities. Thankfully, it wasn't overly crowded that day, granting us the choice of a prime location—opting for a secluded corner shielded by a sturdy dry stone wall. The facilities, including the pot wash room and shower facilities, exceeded our expectations. Impeccably clean, snug, and outfitted with top-notch fixtures, the showers boasted piping hot water that was so inviting, one found it difficult to leave.Kettlewell has great pubs, walks and views!Nigel's assistance extended beyond our check-in, as we encountered an issue with our car the morning of departure. Nigel promptly jump-started it, allowing us to depart without further delay. From beginning to end, our stay was brilliant and we can’t wait to return! Josh & Georgie
The facilities are very modern, clean and well looked after, and the site is so peaceful, even with the odd DofE group passing through. In fact I was with a DofE group of my own, and the site owner has now opened a new field opposite the main site, just for DofE.The one limiting factor is how soft the ground is for vehicles. Highly recommend using the local village car park is possible.
Have used the site previously for DofE. Super supportive of our young people. Also, by keeping the site in such good order, it helps the participants respect the area and I’m sure it helps them settle and respect other site users. It’s fantastic to have this site close by
A really well kept Dales campsite in beautiful Kettlwell. Really helpful approachable owner. Site next to church and churchyard. Close to local shop, cafe and pubs. The facilities at the site are very very good - always very clean and warm and welllooked after. Definitely going back if we can get in!!?
despite the wet and windy weekend we had a lovely stay at Kettlewell Campsite. It was pretty empty (due to weather) but we were met and had a good chat with the site owner. Facilities were great and the site is a short walk to the puds in the village. We wil be back!
Good facilities - active on-site management, which was important in bad weather!
Cannot fault this campsite at all. The field was very boggy but due to the amount of rain we've had it's understandable. The facilities were very clean & in very good condition. The owner (I'm assuming) seemed to be on site all the time and he was very helpful. The village / pub / shop was only a short walk through the church yard accessible directly from the campsite. The views & walks from the campsite were perfect.Definitely worth a visit, definitely would return.
We have visited Kettlewell Camping a number of times and also recommended to others. The location is fabulous with some amenities in the village and lots of walking with amazing views on the doorstep. Facilities at the site are also really good.Easter was early this year so the site was a little boggy and the car got stuck. The owner towed us out which was very entertaining for our 11 year old son!
Excellent location, clean site, good facilities
The campsite is great for exploring Kettlewell and beyond and as previous reviewers have mentioned, the facilities were spotless and because it wasn't busy, we had them all to ourselves. We were there just before Easter and it had been raining, so we were asked to keep off the grass to ensure we wouldn't struggle getting off when it was time to leave (small campervan) so we stayed on the path, which wasn't an issueIt's a lovely little site with great views and only a couple of minutes walk through the churchyard and you're in the village. There's a village shop, a couple of pubs and a deli. There are numerous walks around, we went to Starbottom and got the community bus back (£2each) we also went to Grassington on the bus and they run several times per day.We would definitely return and would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a quiet, relaxing break
