If it's the idea of waking up to a beautiful coastal view of the North Atlantic Ocean, with Co. Donegal visible on the horizon, then Juniper Hill Holiday Park is the place to stay.
Just across the road from the coastal walks, rock pools, par 3 golf course and pitch and putt, Juniper Hill Holiday Park is located just between Carrick Dhu Holiday Park and the seaside harbour town of Portstewart.
We are well connected by the local bus routes and cycle path making it the perfect base for the many popular north coast restaurants, world class golf courses, ice cream parlours, coffee shops and other local attractions.
Juniper Hill Holiday Park is the ideal place to stay during the weekend of the Annual North West 200 motorcycle race, as you will not even have to leave the park to enjoy the atmosphere of the race, as all the action takes place right in front of the park!
We have 101 touring caravan hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches and modern family shower/laundry facilities with full disabled access.
On site, our junior campers have access to a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area, as well as a table tennis & Recreation Hall.
Additionally, we provide insightful visitor information onsite to make the most of your time exploring and experiencing all that this stunning part of the country has to offer.
This family friendly site commands an excellent location from which to explore Portstewart with its shops, cafes, restaurants and many tempting ice cream shops. For golf enthusiasts, Ballyreagh Golf Course is within 200 metres, with the main championship courses in Portrush and Portstewart both within 5 kilometres.
Advance booking is essential, particularly for weekends, bank holidays and during July and August.

Juniper Hill is a lovely site. This was our first time caravanning and we hadn’t a clue. I picked a site with a view of the sea and the road so you could even see the lights of what used to be Barry’s. The only downside of that was the ground wasn’t level. A very obliging man and his wife came to help us, got the caravan levelled, showed us how to hook up to the electric and the water and waste pipes. We didn’t use our own shower, as for 20p you can get a good shower at the toilet block. I thought it might have been busy in August, but we had no bother. The showers and toilets, although quite old fashioned, were clean. The site is quite big but we had no trouble with noise or anything else. There is no shop or cafe/restaurant but we found The Dolphin was a good carry out chippy. We got the Dolphin special which was five large fish goujons with chips and peas for £12.80.
Site is easy to access, especially if you have a large caravan. The one way system is safe, as children walk about freely between sites and the play park. All staff are very friendly and helpful and the toilet facilities are cleaned regularly. The showers are powerful and invigorating. Great base for walking into Portstewart or Portrush. I wouldn’t overlook booking this council amenity site 10/10
We had a great stay at Juniper Hill campsite. Staff were friendly and helpful, facilities clean and good amenities onsite. Tunnel under the road perfect for our children to take their bikes and cycle safely to Portrush. Great value for money and we had perfect weather ☀️
Staff freindly, you can see the sea. good all round.
Location top class. Staff friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately some guests didn’t clean up after their dogs. I also don’t agree with dogs peeing on grass around caravans as little ones then play on that grass in their bare feet. Play park & toilet/ shower block in hill area is badly in need of an upgrade.
Perfect location, clean facilities and staff are so helpful... been going for years now to same site since kids were small and my 12/15/18/22 yr old want to return every year... so close to all attractions and walking distance between Portrush and Portstewart
Family friendly site.. handy location on North Coast.. easy check in/out.. shower/toilet facilities good..
Juniper Hill Caravan park is one of the best in the area and has a excellent few of surrounding area. One of the downs is Dogs and there owners no respect for children when they let them wee all over grass that small children may play on even when the park rules say must be on leads they continue to flaunt them.
Brilliant atmosphere, very helpful staff, only thing that could possibly make it better is more modern toilets, although the one's they have are old they are very clean cannot wait to go back
Stayed on site for 10 days in a 5 metre tourer, no awning. Everything was perfect apart from one thing. We were on site 32c....It is very tight little room between it and van to the left of us but worst thing was that a couple of caravans are allowed to park in the triangle in the middle of the pitches from the 20s up to 32c although they are not showing as pitches on the site map. The result was that we spent all week looking into the back of a big twin axle van parked in front of us which severely blocked our view. The site operator should show these pitches on the site map so we know this is going to happen at the time of booking
