Nice marina with coffee shop and woodland walk.

Walkden, Julie - 10/06/2024

We stayed at the marina due to it being a short distance to Belfast before getting our ferry home. The pitches are a good site. The site is not on a regular bus service so access to towns if your in a motorhome is poor. It says on the caravan and motorhome website bus stop 300 yards but these were very few. The warden only knew of a few school buses passing per day. The warden was friendly but didn't see him out on the site much. The amenities are adequate. Not really 5 star as previous posts have also reported. No real atmosphere on the site as many of the pitches were sessional.

Clean and tidy but needs modernisation

The site is clean and tidy but the shower block and toilets are starting to look old and grubby. The pitches are well laid out and have plenty of space electric water and drainage. The cafe is great especially the fry.

Quiet site

Ferguson, Sam - 05/06/2024

We stayed last Bank Holiday in May. This was our first time. The site was well kept with generous pitches. Amenities were well maintained. On site cafe was a nice bonus. This site is ideal if you like to canoe or paddle board as it is located on the bank of the River Bann. Our only criticism is that while there is a short woodland walk around the park ( 7minutes) it would have been nice to have been able to stroll along the river. I appreciate that this is private land and not possible. Ballymoney is about 3 mile away and worth a visit. You are also close to other North Coast attractions such as The Dark Hedges, Giants Causeway and seaside resorts like Portrush and Portstewart. We will return another time as we both really enjoyed our time here

Nice site

Robinson, Philip - 01/06/2024

We enjoyed are stay at drumaheglis campsite. It's was peaceful enough though it was a full bank holiday weekend. However we did have a problem with the electric hook up on the pitch we stayed at which destroyed the first day there. Staff didn't seem overly concerned and the only reason the problem was found is because I had to go and purchase a new hook up lead and mains tester to establish that the problem was coming from the sites electric hook up. At a cost of £44. I wasn't offered any compensation or any refund for the inconvenience caused.

6 out of 10

Gordon, Clifford - 30/05/2024

There was an issue where the people staying opposite me in a tent parked there pick up on the road which made passing vehicles come very close to my caravan and has picked up as he refused to move it. Also when the children were playing as there wasn't much room between my caravan and this pickup that they were playing very close to the front of my caravan. Also the Wi-Fi in the park did not work. We enjoyed the location we enjoyed the facilities we would return hoping for a better experience

Really enjoyed our break here, it was peaceful and relaxed and the facilities were clean. The grounds are well kept and free from litter. And on top of that there is a lovely cafe for breakfast, lunch , snacks or just coffee. What more could you want.

Relaxing stay

Reid, Janet - 23/05/2024

This site was spacious and attractive. The facilites were basic but adequate. The description in the Caravan and motorhome club's directory claimed the site had a shop and a restaurant. There was no shop even for basic items like milk and the restaurant was a cafe only open during the day. This we felt was misleading. More tourist information would have been helpful for us as first time visitors to the area. It would be an ideal site for people using the river. I didn't find the staff very welcoming.
