"Waves Bistro", sited just off one of the boardwalks, offers excellent food and beverages all day, including their "golfer's fry", home-made scones and ‘cooked to order’ meals. Enjoy dining inside in front of the log burner or outside on the patio.
The Visitor Centre stocks a range of local tourism literature and a variety of Morelli's ice-creams and beach accessories, and all facilities are available for both on-site campers and day-trippers.

Benone campsite is handy for spending time at the beach. As for the site The pitches were fine and a good size , The staff were friendly but the toilets were not as clean as they should have been.I did notice that if you bring your kids to the play areas and the out door pool they have a charge for watching your kids.all in all are stay was Ok .
Excellent fully serviced pitch with water, electric and grey waste disposal. Main shower & toilets facilities regular cleaned with new key code locking. Grass cut as soon as caravan leaves ready for next guests. Safety barrier on site to prevent unwanted guests. Walking distance to beautiful sandy beach including fabulous Waves café on site with excellent food available. All other council run sites and private sites should take a note from this campsite towards excellence required. This mostly noted for Castlewellan within the Newry and Morne district. Only requirement needed is to replace locking system in disabled toilets as was interrupted by unwanted guest numerous times. Handle locks on inside but key can still be used to open door on outside.
Stayed in our motorhome for 2 days our Grandchildren had a great time.Excellent for children the outdoor pool being a big bonus. Beach on the doorstep with easy access from site just a short walk with stunning views and oh my what a beach it was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back .
We have been coming to Benone for about 20 years or so and really enjoy it and now we bring our grandchildren down and they have a ball at the beach and also having fun running about
We enjoyed our day times but the overnights were spoilt by loud antisocial behaviour by other campers / glampers. (Shouting / screaming, children knocking on our door and running away well into the night we didn't get much sleep and it ruined the stay)I feel having a protected family friendly area with a reduced noise curfew eg 9 or 10pm would have completely changed our experience.
Awful. We arrived to our tent site & it was covered in litter, dropped by surrounding tents & no staff came around to ensure the cleanliness of the site was maintained.A group of teenagers set fire to a pine tree on the other side of the fence behind where we were staying I offered to report it & they told me it was sorted, but it took hours for them to get it out. I went to report it the following day, and the staff didn't know, the young girls who were maning reception were sitting with their legs up on the desk on their phone, they were lovely, I honestly didn't care how they were sitting in the office, but there was no manager for me to talk to or to help with teenagers who they said were fleeing from them when they tried to approach them about being on electric scooters. Also the antisocial behaviour was wild, guests were turning our electric on & off, shining torches into our tent & would squeeze between our tent & car shouting constantly. We left 1 day early
Fantastic place stayed three nights weather wasn't the best but the facilities were
Stayed here and had a great time. There was only one night which was loud and nosy even after 2am with 2 families meeting up.
