I booked this sight thinking that I had been before, unless its changed in the past 5 years I'm not so sure now.Facilities were fine, clean. There ws only a couple of visiting camper an on site and 2/3 more long term caravans.Staff were very helpful, 24/7 if needed.A short drive to anything else that you might want ieShops, pubs, restaurants, forest.Perfect for dog walks or relaxing.
Second stay at this campsite and was as great as the last one. Quiet, clean site with good facilities. Close to everything and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Will definately be back again... well done!
Would definitely stay here again. Easy to book online, easy to find. Large flat pitches. New clean toilet block and wash up area. Wifi (£1) is really handy as mobile reception is negligible. Great to offer a freezer for refreezing ice blocks and the washer and dryer is wonderful (£4)Improvement could be made to the shop opening hours, or perhaps a vending machine selling basic items? Also handy would be a covered dining space that campers could use for cooking in inclement weather.Would definitely stay here again.
Very happy with everything at the campsite. It rained a lot but it didnt matter. Toilets showers are very clean and tidy. Lovely walk to the village. Lovely little shop in the village and a nice pub. Very pleased with our stay.
The facilities block was new and clean but the noisy extractor fan was faulty & remained on and whirring all day & night pretty much. Despite raising this to the attention of the management it was not rectified over our 5 night stay. The bin around the washing up area was not emptied during our 5 night stay either. The grass cutting was attended to during our stay in late September & the grounds overall were very neat & tidy. The campsite is conveniently located in the beautiful Forest of Dean area but the nearby main road B4228 is very fast & busy so cycling out from the campsite isn't advisable. The Forest & Wye Valley makes a good stopover point & is well located for local attractions that you can drive to. Can recommend nearby restaurant The Whitebrook and The Miners pub at Sling.
Everything was fine apart from the conkers falling on our caravan from the Oak tree overhead (ably assisted by the squirrels). So avoid the pitch to the right of the toilet block in October. Could not get easy/stable TV signal on this pitch either. But we enjoyed our stay and the manager was most helpful
Great location, very clean facilities. Nathan very helpful and informative about local walks etc. Will definately be back 👍😁
great little find close to the Triathlon where my Husband needed to be.Clean and tidy and friendly staff :)
Facilities were very clean and tidy. Campsite was well maintained and staff went out their way to help us out of hours when we forgot to pick up wood. Very relaxed and nice spot!
We stayed for 3 nights in August. Obviously we managed to pick the days it rained lol, but its pat of the camping experience. Managed to get the tent up and down in the dry though. This campsite had the added benefit of a drying room where you could leave boots, coats etc. The toilets were clean and tidy and warm. Great Location for the Forest of Dean.
