Great location, easy accessible in and out. Staff very friendly and helpful and facilities kept very clean. Super modern park for the children and plenty of room to explore. Price reasonable although penalised for not being in the caravan club as they get a reduced rate. Lovely cafe & ice cream onsite and of course beside the water is a big pos! Only negative was that my son got a large amount of fresh dog poo on his bike seat, clothes and this caused a stressful & unplesant situation so just be aware as there are many day visitors who are dog walkers about using the walks.
We stayed in May so the park was very quiet, we travelled to all the local tourist attractions and found it convenient. It is particulary suitable for anyone who loves canoeing, waterboarding or has a boat.We have stayed previously though would choose to come when it isn't at busy times as we enjoy the peace and quiet.
One the first night motorbikes spent the night rallying around the field next door. On the second endless streams of children biked around a circuit in the campsite. New facilities ok, older block dated. But each pitch did have its own water and grey waste dump. Bins all at reception - a long hike every night. Sight good for caravans and larger motor homes and families. Not great for couples and short term visitors (1 or 2 days).
Ideal site for seeing Northern Ireland, good sized pitches for our large caravan, facility's central to pitches, the cleaner (a man) kept everything clean & sterilised. Warden very helpful & perlite, even managed to fit us in for 2 extra nights.
Easy to access the park but some individual sites are less easy to park on.Electricity and water easy to connect. Site quite clean and tidy but no special bin labelled for recycling
Really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Drumaheglis. Facilities are excellent and the delightful on-site cafe is a big bonus, offering great value and beautifully prepared food. The warden was very friendly and super helpful. And of course the campsite is in a delightful rural setting. What more could you ask for?
Site pleasant, clean & tidy. Great for kids with the mini forest trail & good for bikes. Park close and felt very safe for kids. Toilets a little dated but clean enough.
A lovely spot to stay on the edge of the river Bann a short drive to Ballymoney and Portrush
We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed that the site did not have a restaurant as described in the Caravan and Motorhome Handbook. However, the on site cafe was excellent in terms of service and menu.
