We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed that the site did not have a restaurant as described in the Caravan and Motorhome Handbook. However, the on site cafe was excellent in terms of service and menu.
Overall a great site think they could encourage dining in cafe with a simple 10% off deal . Toilet and facilities always clean
A very hospitable warden gave us a clear and comprehensive briefing on the sight and facilities. Toilets and showers were clean but £1.00 for shower seemed a lot. Pleasant site on banks of river and close to supermarkets.
Nice wee site, but the showers, washing machines and tumble dryers need a wake up. It's £1 for an 8 min shower, I got 3 mins, next day the £1 got me nothing and don't start me on the washing machine and tumble dryer 😱. Guy who was working on site was very pleasant and the wee cafe was just class with super friendly staff, especially the students. 😍. Would definitely go back to the cafe and there coffee was superb.
I gave this location a Good rating rather than Excellent, simply on the basis that it is ' open ' to the public to walk through. There is no fencing between the marina and the campsite. Also there is a walk through the woods, around the edge of the site, with access to the campsite.
Nice Park, helpful staff but nowhere near enough Facilities. It would be great if there were more Facilities,
Very clean, comes with a heater, a mini fridge/freezer, a kettle, 1 double mattress, 2 single mattresses and a coat rack. Also had a wee table and bench outside each cabin, very quiet and the toilets were close by. Staff in the cafe were very pleasant. The cabins each had a little name too: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin and Bilbo. Definitely recommend Merry.
