Enjoyed a relaxing 9 night stay at Drumaheglis. Have stayed before and always enjoyed it. Check in easy thanks to being forwarded a code for the barrier and entrance gate at time of booking. Good facilities which, importantly are well maintained and clean. Well spaced out pitches, relaxed atmosphere and dog walk nearby made for a great stay. Will be back.
We tour all over Northern Ireland & find Drumaheglis to be one of the cleanest, tidiest sites. Immaculate throughout! The warden is very pleasant & helpful & always out & about - cleaning, maintaining & tidying the site. He obviously takes great pride in his work. It is always a very relaxing place to stay & although further away from the coastal attractions - always nice to come back to after a busy day out & about. . Excellent for those of us who have a canoe as the slipway & river are on site also.
Everything excellent except locating my pitch, better signage would help.
Tidy campsite with clean amenities. Great coffee shop on site which we used both days
Facilities first class. Restaurant excellent, service very good. Can recommend the Ulster fry for breakfast or lunch and also the scones, staff friendly and attentive.
We went for a weekend break and immediately we arrived we were welcomed to the campsite and given directions to our pitch. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The cafe was excellent and we were able to have a short walk around the campsite which bordered the river Bann. The only negative point was the showers in the bottom toilet block, showers 1 & 2 had very poor pressure, the water just dribbled out.Despite that this is an excellent site, well worth a visit.
We love this place. Very family and child friendly and always maintained to a high standard with excellent facilities
We had been considering this park for a number of years, and we got the chance last weekend for a 3-night stay. I must say we were very pleased with the large pitch, the services were convenient, and the electricity was more than ample to run our setup without any trip-outs. The onsite cafe is lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and more than helpful. I only have two gripes. Gripe 1. The WiFi is very poor, and as I tend to work while away, I ended up trying to use my 4g from my phone only to find the O2 signal is also very weak in this area too, so the whole thing got very frustrating. A boost to the WiFi would definitely solve this, and from speaking to other campers on site, I see that it seems to have been a problem there for a while. Gripe 2. The showers are very clean & warm but the cubicles need a few more hooks for your clothes and somewhere at arm level to put your soap and shower gel. But to end on a happy note, we will definetly be back.
Very enjoyable stay. Superb food in the cafe. Looking forward to going back.
Big site with onside cafe and located on the river bann and a short drive to Ballymoney and Coleraine
