A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.
Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.
Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.
The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.
Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.
For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.
The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.
Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

Lovely quiet site, except when trains pass during day and night. Do get used to it though after few days. Pilot buzzes to 😆 🤣. But is quiet and peaceful.Park good for kids, only one thing is toilet and showers a wee bit of a walk from park and showers aren't the warmest. Females luke warm, so very quick showers needed 😆 🤣.
We welcome you taking the time to review the site and note your comments regarding the showers wish will be looked at by the maintenance team. We do hope you will visit us again in the future
Loved this site , immaculate, quite , all the facilities you need here , very friendly staff 10 out of 10
Thanks for your review, we look forward to seeing you again soon
A very nice site in a great location. The restaurant is very convenient with great food and a varied menu. For us the fishing on site is a bonus, there are also a number of paths to take walks to nearby villages.
Thank you for the review, we look forward to seeing you again
First time at site and found everything we wanted, nice clean site, pub on site and great location. Already booked to go back.
Thanks for the review, we look forward to seeing you again
Accommodation was great for our family of 7. Accommodation was spacious and worked well. Staff really helpful and friendly. Pub food was very good and reasonably priced. Children loved the bingo on Friday night and playing outside. Would definitely return if we were back in the area.
Thank you for the review, we look forward to welcoming you back if you are in the area again
Facilities very clean staff friendly handy for Lancaster and garstang plenty of walks and fishing.
Thanks for your review, see you again soon at the park hopefully
Nice site but first time I’ve been charged extra for my hook up then charged again for electricity which was £11 for 3 days when we were mostly out so seems very expensive electricity to me
Thanks for taking the time to review the site, we note your comments regarding he electricity, we do not make any profit on the electricity and just charge for that used. We are sorry if you feel it was expensive but we do try and keep it as low as possible. We wish you all the best for your future holidays
Everyone is friendly and the bar and restaurant are lovely
Thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back
Stayed 2 nights, firstly only drink tea no white sugar only brown, bar very noisy until late. Bed wasn't made 2nd day, I would expect the amount you charge the bed and room cleaned. Office staff lovely
Thank you for your review, we are sorry that the en suite room was not to your liking, unfortunately as the rooms are above the bar there is some noise at the weekend which we do state on our website when booking. The rooms are not cleaned during the stay as we would have to increase the cost and currently feel that the price reflects the value for money for the rooms. We do however wish you all the best for your future holidays.
Our initial impression at arrival to the park was lovely with nice flowers and big car park and secure barrier which was comforting but the pitch we were given was not as nice as initial impressions. Unfortunately, we were unlucky and were pitched directly opposite the electricity pylon on what can only be described as what looked like a disused car park with hook up points on and rough tarmac with a tiny bit of grass in between. There are nicer pitches and the park itself is very picturesque with two duck ponds, a children's park and walks over the river. The owner is really lovely and the staff couldn't do enough for us and the saving grace for the park is the Fabulous Pub and Restaurant on site which does the best food. The showers are clean and adequate but could benefit from an upgrade as these were functional but dated. The site is near to various nice places to visit like Garstang or the Coast. The main ONLY downside I would say is having to pay for hook up electricity
We are grateful for taking the time to review our park and giving us a detailed review, the maintenance staff are constantly updated the park and the pitches are reviewed regularly, your comments have been forwarded to the management team for consideration. We hope to welcome you back to the park in the future.
