A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.
Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.
Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.
The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.
Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.
For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.
The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.
Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

Absolutely brilliant site we've stayed at claylands about 6 times definitely will be going again
Claylands caravan park looks lovely and scenic, with the fishing lakes and the river behind stepping stones pub. On arrival I had a friendly greeting and was given a map and menu for stepping stones. We will definitely return and stay longer next time. Scorton village was a 10 minute walk across the field, behind Stepping Stones. Garstang town centre had lots of lovely shops.
Thanks for the review and great photos, we look forward to seeing you again
Love the pub and the food is amazing the staff are very friendly we come here once or twice yearly its a really nice campsite
Everything was really good, staff were all very friendly, beautiful surrondings looking over the river from the restaurant.everything was very clean,a good bus service into Garstang from bottom of the lane,.We stayed in our motor home and looked over the little fishing pond
Thank you for the review, glad you enjoyed your stay, we look forward to seeing you again
Great park, immaculate showers and toilet block, friendly helpful staff.Only downside was only being told once arrivied that the kitchen was closed for food that night as we had planned on eating on site restaurant apart from that great
Thank you for your review, we are sorry there was an unexpected event which meant we had to close the restaurant that evening. We do hope you will visit us again
We enjoy coming to Claylands . My partner enjoys the fishing . The staff are lovely and the restaurant food is so good . We only live 1/2 hr away but we could have been a world away . We will be back soon .
Thanks so much for your review, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future
We have stayed here before in our last van so decided to try it with a bigger van. The pitch we had wasn’t flat however easily levelled with ramps. Toilets and showers were clean and convenient. Staff were very helpful shop doesn’t sell much milk and some essentials apart from bread. Bar and restaurant on site are excellent and well worth a visit.
Thank you for your review, we do hope you will visit us again in the future
Staff very friendly and went out of their way to repatriate my lost mobile phoneWish they would take cash in restaurant and bar area thoughOverall a fantastic site
Glad you enjoyed your stay, we look forward to welcoming you back to the park
We came camping in our tent for a weekend and loved it! The only “issue” as such was the toilets and washing up facilities were a bit of a walk from where the tents pitch up but this wasn’t a major issue. The kids loved playing on the park and along the riverbank and Stepping Stones restaurant was lovely. The food was amazing! And we loves that we could bring our dog in the restaurant with us.Overall a great weekend was had and we will definitely be back again in the future
Thanks for the review and lovely photos, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back in the future
The site is very easy to get too, staff are very friendly and helpful, the site is beautifully looked after and very clean. We stayed in one of the rooms which was very nice with a en-suite bathroom, the weather was hot and due to a very noisy cooling fan we had to sleep with the window wide open which resulted in a noisy night from the motorway traffic and trains. If a simple air condition wall unit was fitted the issues would not of been a problem. We ate at the site and it was very nice with great service. Overall it is an excellent value for money site that feels very safe.
Thank you for taking the time to review the park, your comments regarding the rooms have been forwarded to the management team for consideration. We hope to see you again in the future
