A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.

Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.

Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.

The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.

Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.

For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.

The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.

Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.

Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

Claylands Park

Bowers, Oriana - 29/11/2025

Lovely site in beautiful surroundings. Excellent facilities, warm and clean. We ate in the onsite bar/restaurant and enjoyed the meal.We stayed in our motorhome and purchased £20 for the metered hook-up but in fact for our two-night stay we only used just over £7.00.Plenty of walks from the site.Would stay again and would recommend.

Immaculate family owned site

Beetham, Mark - 27/11/2025

Overall, this rates as one of the best caravan site experiences I’ve had in over 40 years of caravanning. The site is really well looked after, the staff wonderful, especially Lorraine who took my awkward booking, the young waitress who served us impeccably, and the co-owner who went the extra mile to make sure we could make our bacon butties in the morning. The restaurant pies were the best in the world. The only niggle was the kids playground was a bit tired, the wood bits being very slippery. Still, my kids had a great time. Local walks were great, the site location being wonderful. The caravan services were the best with your own water and drain and reliable electrics. The only thing that could have improved our stay would be a small toilet block near the kids play area.

NO FISH IN LOWER PONDS !!!

Barks, Kenneth - 27/11/2025

2

When we arrived at Claylands, I requested a pitch close to the lower ones as we intended to spend our few days fishing in the ponds !We were not told, that the ponds were mainly frozen over. Now that was only to be expected I guess, given that the weather temperature had fallen dramatically,,, but I learnt from a fellow angler, who was fishing at the time in the upper pond with his 2 sons, that the two lower ponds had been ravaged by otters and that it was empty of fish and that the pond that they were fishing in had been poisoned by the neighbouring farmer when using slurry on his farm which had run into the pond and killed approximately 100 fish in total !All of this information was not given to us upon arrival, which was to make our short stay very very disappointing indeed !Also, I have to add, that the restaurant prices were quite high we thought! 2 meals and 2 pints of beer each was at a cost of close to £50 ! We decided to cut our stay short by 1 day but given no credit !

We joined 8 of our friends for a weekend at Claylands and it was brilliant despite storm Claudia (glad we didn't put the awning up). The meal at the pub was very good and our fisherman friends even caught a few fish. Will definitely be back

Not for us

Louth, Janet - 14/11/2025

we arrived and was allocated our pitch which was right at the side of a huge pylon!!on a terrible surface, no grass at all. I asked if there was another pitch with at least a bit of grass and to be fair the lady at reception moved us.Couldn’t get a seat inside the pub as there was a private party. The road noise and train noise was quite loud and went on into the night.Good dog walk on site and walked through fields to the village but not much there apart from a garden centre. The lady at reception was very nice. The toilets and showers were clean.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful spot

Ford, Jenny - 02/11/2025

5

We booked this at the last minute after our original accommodation fell through and were delighted. The property was clean, well-equipped and we had been left a whole host of goodies to welcome us (milk, biscuits, etc). The site as a whole was clearly very well kept, with lovely walks from the doorstep, and the owners were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.
