A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.
Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.
Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.
The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.
Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.
For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.
The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.
Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

All reviews featured on Campstead.com have been submitted by genuine customers who have stayed at the park.
we stayed for a weekend recently ( & returning in 2 weeks ) the camp is very clean, friendly staff, good amenities including a onsite restaurant & takeaway, several fishing ponds, good playground for children also. There was ample room for our tent and car. Lovely surrounding areas to view and it is right next to the river which you can have access easily to. There are caravans and lodges there also but everything is spaced out and doesn't feel overcrowded. Very good value for money. Only downside we could see ( which did not bother us, we quite liked it ) was you can hear and see trains going past day & evening quite frequently . Like I said, we liked it but it may bother some. The location of the park was really good too, surrounding fields with hills, sheep & cows . When you first arrive you receive a fob for the electric gate for your vehicle so you know no unauthorised vehicles can enter the site, this is a £30 deposit which is returned at the end of your stay, very reasonable
Lovely little camping break, kids loved being able to walk along in the river to cool down. Enjoyed the park & the food in the stepping stones was lovely. Each morning & night we were greeted by ducks/ ducklings which the kids enjoyed Local amenities. Gorgeous views, we got to see a few hot air balloons.
Nice camp site. Toilets need some TLC, difficult to flush and no individual wash rooms. Pub was ok but food not great.
We booked this site for a short break with our grandson with the intention of taking him to Blackpool it was about 30 miles from Blackpool. We had a great time there a very good play area and restaurant on site which was excellent. We will not hesitate to go back for a holiday in the near future excellent value for money.
Thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed your family time at the park. We look forward to seeing you again

Claylands is a friendly Park with play facilities for children and a lovely river running alongside, great for paddling and net fishing. Stepping Stones , the restaurant on site has beautiful out looks across the valley and there are splendid walks from camp. The local market town ,Garstang is a 5 minute drive away.
We welcome your review and look forward to seeing you at the park in the future
The sight was in a beautiful locationThere was a pub/restaurant on sight, the outside area was fabulous with a lovely stream running through The Sight had excellent facilities and was very well maintained Well lit which is good for dark nightsAll the staff we met where so very friendly Will be back very soon
Glad you enjoyed your stay with us we look forward to welcoming you back to the park
Site looked tight to get to but actually it was ok ! Staff very friendly and helpful, facilities spotless and the stepping stone pub was a bonus. Very close to the town centre which is a lovely little town also we went to the Barn at scorton which is a farm shop and restaurant 🤒 the only criticism is that I wish that the pitches down at the bottom were as nice as those up at the top ie nice clean pea sized gravel ! Otherwise great.
We welcome your review and look forward to seeing you again
