A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.

Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.

Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.

The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.

Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.

For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.

The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.

Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.

Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

First night in new camper

Duncanson, Gary - 26/06/2026

We have stayed here before in our last van so decided to try it with a bigger van. The pitch we had wasn’t flat however easily levelled with ramps. Toilets and showers were clean and convenient. Staff were very helpful shop doesn’t sell much milk and some essentials apart from bread. Bar and restaurant on site are excellent and well worth a visit.

Great campsite with lovely facilities

Capstick, Holly - 25/06/2026

We came camping in our tent for a weekend and loved it! The only “issue” as such was the toilets and washing up facilities were a bit of a walk from where the tents pitch up but this wasn’t a major issue. The kids loved playing on the park and along the riverbank and Stepping Stones restaurant was lovely. The food was amazing! And we loves that we could bring our dog in the restaurant with us.Overall a great weekend was had and we will definitely be back again in the future

Overnight Stay Meeting Friends

Booth, Neil - 22/06/2026

5

The site is very easy to get too, staff are very friendly and helpful, the site is beautifully looked after and very clean. We stayed in one of the rooms which was very nice with a en-suite bathroom, the weather was hot and due to a very noisy cooling fan we had to sleep with the window wide open which resulted in a noisy night from the motorway traffic and trains. If a simple air condition wall unit was fitted the issues would not of been a problem. We ate at the site and it was very nice with great service. Overall it is an excellent value for money site that feels very safe.

Campervan trip

Walsh, Yvonne - 11/06/2026

This was the first time staying at the park but I had been to stepping Stones before. Had a lovely pitch next to the fishing pond. Food and entertainment in Stepping Stones were excellent and a nice friendly atmosphere. The lady on reception was very helpful, polite and friendly. The only negative was the showers were only luke warm and was a bit of a shock to the system as they were more cold than warm. Would stay again though.

Heaven

Fogg, Tony - 11/06/2026

The site is run by the friendliest people and the site is pristine. The pitches are spacious and are fully serviced. The pub/restaurant offers freshly prepared local food and also has bingo and a artist on at the weekend. There is a few fishing ponds on site that you can use with a permit from the office/shop. They have a kids park with a fantastic retro slide. Do NOT miss out on this gem.
