A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.
Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.
Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.
The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.
Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.
For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.
The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.
Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

Excellent facility i will use again Great for breaking the journey to Silverstone and Goodwood and very handy for the ferry to Isle Of Man at Heysham.
I needed a place to stay for one night when travelling from west country to Scotland. Claylands was half way for me making it an easy choice. When I arrived I met a very helpful member of staff . The site was a lovely surprise, well maintained with the added bonus of a lovely dog walk by the picturesque river. My experience made it much more than just a nights stay, it became memorable and I will definitely return.
Thank you for your very nice review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hopefully we will see you again.
The staff were lovely, and when we found out we could take the dog in the bar it made it special, brilliant.
Thank you for your very nice comment. We are very happy you are coming to stay again and look forward to welcoming you back.
The guesthouse was not what we were expecting for the steep price. Definitely too expensive for what it was. The beds were small, too small for a 6 foot man. The apartment could use updating of decor, furniture, sheets, etc. We encountered 2 spiders during our stay (one of them the biggest I’ve seen!) which was definitely upsetting to our two teenagers.
Good afternoon. Thank you for your comments, we like to hear what our customers feel whether positive or negative. Sadly you said nothing while you were here. I feel I need to address the comment regarding steep price; we feel we are very competitive in the area for a 4 bed house that sleeps 7 people. The decor is slightly tired and magnolia and it is due to be refurbished in the quieter winter months but it does have a lot of use and is kept clean by the housekeeping team. The beds are of normal length. Bedding is a plain cream and laundered after each stay. We will certainly revisit this when we decorate. As for spiders I cannot control them especially as it is spider season and any opportunity to come inside an open window or door is tempting.
Easy to get to the showers where nice and clean the location is great close to Garstang and Lancaster and not to far from the lakes . Small shop with your essentials.
Had a fabulous time great rice and very friendly staff . Toilets and showers were very good and clean cannot fault them all thank you to all the staff
We thank you for taking the time to review the park, we look forward to seeing you again
Nice site. The reception lady is very nice and helpful.Stepping Stones is a great place which serves lovely food.
The staff of this site are very amenable and helpful. This site is great for a little get away which it what we had and the local town of Garstang is a quaint little village easily reached from here.. The restaurant food is very good and at a reasonable price at this site and the bar is well stocked and there is plenty of it. Overall, I would give this site 9 out of 10 and we will be coming again soon.
Thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed your stay with us, we look forward to seeing you again
