Very welcoming reception, very helpful & a well kept and clean site. The toilet block was immaculate. Bar staff were friendly and we loved our first camping trip!

Loved having a paddle in the river close by and Scorton was a lovely short walk away, over the river, through a field of cows, under a railway bridge, through a field if sheep and you were there in 15 minutes!!

Beautiful situated site with picturesque views and well maintained gardens.

Benson, Melissa - 02/08/2022

My kids loved the play area! It's was amazing there was a gorgeous river running down at the bottom of the site shallow enough to paddle in on the warm days. The gardens and wildlife was stunning! The pub grub was fresh, gorgeous and plentiful. The only criticism is, the hike in the night from the camping field to the toilet/shower block and wash up area, they were passed the tourers and close to the statics which doesn't make much sense but that is the only downfall just glad we had a portaloo. I would definitely return though it didn't put me off too much.

Staffing excellent we had a medical emergency and they were fantastic. Asked if any help required and offered to help us take our awning down and pack up.One small thing litter picking was a little sparse saw same things in same place for days, I would have placed rubbish in the bins but had no litter picker and couldn’t reach items.

Stayed with my 13 year old daughter, 11 year old son & 10 year old nephew in our touring caravan.Pitch great, well maintained and plenty of room for us our awning and car.We all had a great time, lots to do for the children, the boys bought a license and went fishing in all the ponds, were very happy to catch a fish. All 3 kids were happy playing in the stream and on the park. Not a mobile phone or games console in sight for the 3 days we were there ! the toilets / showers are very clean. Pub great and food very good. Short walk to Scorton which is a lovely village. Definitely returning .

Thank you for taking the time to review our site, we are sorry that you experienced noise, it does seem to depend on the wind direction as to whether you hear anything. We do however wish you all the best for your future holidays
