Carrick Dhu Holiday Park is located on the Causeway Coastal Route, the A2 Portrush to Portstewart Road running between these two popular seaside resorts. Situated just outside Portrush, visitors can enjoy the award-winning West Bay beach, at least two local restaurants and Ballyreagh Golf Course all within a kilometre's walk.
We have invested considerably in the provision of completely new touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes – while this has reduced the number available to 35, they are more spacious and with hard surfacing for vehicles / caravans, they offer better conditions in all weathers.
Some pitches are longer - pitches 14 to 18 - and more suitable for motorhomes. Artificial grass offers further comfort, and securing awnings will require metal pegs, which are to be inserted in the natural grass just at the edge of the artificial grass, and, if required for just next to a caravan, sandbags (supplied) for tying to.
Our on site facilities include 35 Touring caravan / motorhome hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches, modern family shower/laundry facilities with disabled access, and a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area. Guests can also avail of our onsite Chip Shop, Coffee Shop, our Recreation/Table Tennis Hall and a helpful Visitor Information Centre.
The Atlantic Ocean is just across from the Park entrance with easy access to rock pools, and further coastal walks into both Portrush and Portstewart can be enjoyed along the spectacular Port Path (also known as the Ulster Way / Causeway Coast Way): alternatively, why not try cycling along the Sustrans off-road route, or relax on the regular scheduled bus service? All options start from just outside the Park.

This park is excellent, the location couldn't be better but the ultimate praise has to go to the staff. The lady in the office was friendly, knowledgeable & helpful, the grounds guys keep the site & toilet/shower facilities immaculate.
Loved this park, everything was super clean, staff were really friendly, I was nervous as it was my first time travelling in my caravan & I was alone, staff couldn't have been more friendly & helpful, facilities were great, pitches were great as well. Highly recommend. Lovely & quiet & relaxing.
This site is one of our favourite places to stay, Margaret & Trevor are so helpful with whatever you need. The location is so handy to Portrush with just a short walk away. The facilities are always so clean ie shower blocks and toilets, the washing up block is also very clean and we enjoy Carrick dhu with our kids as it is quite safe and overall great value for money, the only downside is it hasn't got an onsite shop which it could definitely be doing with.
Great nights stay check in and check our seamless and very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities very clean. Very happy campers.
We stayed at the park over the Easter holidays. The staff were lovely, the facilities were very clean and we would definitely return
All great here.Staff all very friendly.Place is spotless.Loos and kitchen place spotless also. You can even wash clothes.Showers cost £1 coin.7 mins long is fine. There is even a chip shop on site.Only open Friday and Saturday for now.And it fine.I have booked another trip. But it can be hard to book.Need more pitches.Great place overall.
Overall ok. I prefer other sites like Castlewellan and Tollymore as they are more spread out. Felt a bit crowded at this site. Another fixed site owner opposite actually parked behind our camper without asking us. Needed hinted at to shift his car. Facilities were ok. At £33 per night I was a bit surprised to find showers charge £1 per 7 minute timer. Kept turning off itself so had to swipe sensor continually to turn on and blasted cold each time. Quite annoying.
This was our first time staying and we where so impressed. Site was full but it was extremely quiet. All of the facilities where spotless at all times and of course it's in the perfect location for a beach stroll into the town.
Very clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Very handy to Portrush as we could walk in without taking the car.
