Carrick Dhu Holiday Park is located on the Causeway Coastal Route, the A2 Portrush to Portstewart Road running between these two popular seaside resorts. Situated just outside Portrush, visitors can enjoy the award-winning West Bay beach, at least two local restaurants and Ballyreagh Golf Course all within a kilometre's walk.
We have invested considerably in the provision of completely new touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes – while this has reduced the number available to 35, they are more spacious and with hard surfacing for vehicles / caravans, they offer better conditions in all weathers.
Some pitches are longer - pitches 14 to 18 - and more suitable for motorhomes. Artificial grass offers further comfort, and securing awnings will require metal pegs, which are to be inserted in the natural grass just at the edge of the artificial grass, and, if required for just next to a caravan, sandbags (supplied) for tying to.
Our on site facilities include 35 Touring caravan / motorhome hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches, modern family shower/laundry facilities with disabled access, and a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area. Guests can also avail of our onsite Chip Shop, Coffee Shop, our Recreation/Table Tennis Hall and a helpful Visitor Information Centre.
The Atlantic Ocean is just across from the Park entrance with easy access to rock pools, and further coastal walks into both Portrush and Portstewart can be enjoyed along the spectacular Port Path (also known as the Ulster Way / Causeway Coast Way): alternatively, why not try cycling along the Sustrans off-road route, or relax on the regular scheduled bus service? All options start from just outside the Park.

This is one of my favourite sites to stay. Great location - walking distance to both Portrush & Portstewart. The facilities are excellent - clean toilets, separate washing cubicles, large flat touring sites and a sheltered walled tent area. Staff are welcoming and very helpful.
started out fine, on the Friday night, but all the problems started on Saturday evening, about 5pm,when the electricity blew in the camper, and the caravan opposite to us sharing the same outlet, we contact the site warden, and the re established the connection, only for it to go again on both of us, and then they tried again, and it blew again, and the night watch man, said because it was the weekend, and there was no way to get it sorted so, as we had no electricity, we had to make are way home that evening, which not only, was it a hassle to pack up and leave, we were not home until late, and had paid until Sunday.
We just stayed 2 nights the weather was great we even got the Local Baptist church on Sunday staff friendly cleanliness all in good condition safety value for money jim and may Lawrie
We found the team friendly and helpful. The site is well kept and easy to manage. The facilities are immaculate.
Great setting for a campsite ,near enough to walk to town Portstewart or Portrush. Really good clean bathroom facilities.
We loved our stay at Carrick Dhu. The campsite was small but that’s what we wanted. My little boy loved going up and down on the tarmac with his bike. The shower and toilet block was a short walk from the campsite. The play park wasn't great for my two year old but definitely decent for older children. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Carrick Dhu, we’ll be back again soon ⛺️
good well run site with friendly very helpful staff. Good value for money pitches for motorhome large with water and waste water at the pitch makes it easier for getting set up. Toilets and showers on site very clean and maintained (however £1 to use advertised at 50 pence). got every thing on site you need for camping. The downside to the site is there is a chip shop as you enter site which was not open for the 3 nights we were there and a restaurant just over the road The Tides which served good food but expensive. The biggest drawback is that it is a very long walk into Port Rush town (about 3/4 to an Hour ) in the rain and cold not pleasant and for that reason would only stay in future for 1 x night as a stopover, site was very good though with good facilities.
Really enjoyed another two night stay at Carrick Dhu. Facilities are excellent and one of the best parks in the country. Special mention for Trevor, the warden is always so helpful. Would highly recommend.
