Carrick Dhu Holiday Park is located on the Causeway Coastal Route, the A2 Portrush to Portstewart Road running between these two popular seaside resorts. Situated just outside Portrush, visitors can enjoy the award-winning West Bay beach, at least two local restaurants and Ballyreagh Golf Course all within a kilometre's walk.
We have invested considerably in the provision of completely new touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes – while this has reduced the number available to 35, they are more spacious and with hard surfacing for vehicles / caravans, they offer better conditions in all weathers.
Some pitches are longer - pitches 14 to 18 - and more suitable for motorhomes. Artificial grass offers further comfort, and securing awnings will require metal pegs, which are to be inserted in the natural grass just at the edge of the artificial grass, and, if required for just next to a caravan, sandbags (supplied) for tying to.
Our on site facilities include 35 Touring caravan / motorhome hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches, modern family shower/laundry facilities with disabled access, and a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area. Guests can also avail of our onsite Chip Shop, Coffee Shop, our Recreation/Table Tennis Hall and a helpful Visitor Information Centre.
The Atlantic Ocean is just across from the Park entrance with easy access to rock pools, and further coastal walks into both Portrush and Portstewart can be enjoyed along the spectacular Port Path (also known as the Ulster Way / Causeway Coast Way): alternatively, why not try cycling along the Sustrans off-road route, or relax on the regular scheduled bus service? All options start from just outside the Park.

All Staff from Management to Cleaners worked very hard and professionally to keep the site in tip top condition during a very busy NW 200 racing weekend. The site is well situated for walking into Portrush and coast road. There is a well equipped play area for children. Well worth a stay
Very clean facilities. Quiet park. Great location for exploring the north Antrim coast.
Carrick dhu caravan park is excellent toilets are spotlessly clean well look after and very pleasant staff. Chip shop and coffee shop at entrance and two restaurants near with excellent service. Had a fantastic stay can't wait to do it again.
Best camp site in portush friendly staff facilities 100% love staying here
We always enjoy our stays in Carrick dhu. Lovely site, clean amenities and wonderful to see a coffee shop now open too.Already looking forward to our next stay at Carrick Dhu.
This was our first camping trip as a family. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were so impressed with the showers and toilets which were exceptionally clean and well maintained.Kids play park was great. We have already booked our next trip to Carrick Dhu.Would highly recommend.
From the minute we arrived Donna was so welcoming and friendly giving us all the info we needed and so kind and friendly taking time to chat to the children about their weekend too !
A well situated and accessible site with clean washrooms and dishwashing facilities. The camping field is situated in a walled part of the park, separate from the caravans but not remote. The park employs friendly staff and offers good value for money. Our only diappointment was that we weren't allowed to use our purpose built, enclosed Anevay tent stove on it's fireproof matting in our fire regardent canvas tent throughout our stay. A little more research and understanding from the decision making staff could have resulted in a different outcome, making it a perfect stay. 🙂
Our annual trip back to Carrick Dhu. Glad they installed the rings on the artificial grass, but they do look unsightly. also the weeds growing on the artificial grass... Not looking great this year. One downside now a pound to shower think it was 50p.... Oh they upgraded them they said... they still look the same except you get 7 minutes.... I dont need 7 minutes to shower so standing there for like 2-3 mins ... should of left it at 50 p and if you want a longer shower then put a pound in.
