Canada Fields Caravan Park is near Northallerton in the Vale of York set between the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west and the North York Moors National Park to the east.
We have 40 pitches of which 36 are yearly, 4 are tourer’s with lovely views over the countryside on a landscaped area beside our family run farm. Our pitches all have hard standing with electric hook-up and have water either directly adjacent or very close by. (Unfortunately, at this time we do not facilitate tents)
Over the last year we have added many new features to the caravan park including a heated toilet block, dishwashing facilities and free WiFi.
To one side of the site is our coarse fishing lake that adds to the picturesque setting and is an added attraction for those who enjoy this relaxing sport.
Our new luxury lodge has two bedrooms one with a double bed and one with a single bed. It also has a luxury wet room and a lovely open plan living area with a dining table . A kitchen with all the amenities and a good sized garden with a luxury hot tub.
Dog Friendly with a large walled garden for pets to be let out. The large luxury hot tub is situated on your own wooden decking with a seated area.
Northallerton, the County Town of North Yorkshire is located 3.5 miles to the east of Canada Fields Caravan Park. Markets are held on Wednesday and Saturday and the town has several supermarkets and many independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
Romanby Golf Club is just 2 miles away. Cycle route 71 passes 1 mile from the site, one way heading towards Northallerton and the other towards Bedale. Bedale is located 8 miles away and is known as “The Gateway to the Dales”.
Each touring pitch is on hard standing, with an electric hook up and water at the pitch or very nearby. Free Wifi is provided on site.

Lovely lodge, very clean and comfortable. Amazing hot tub included. Close to caravans but private land is higher so very private. Lovely secure garden with furniture to relax on. Beautiful site with amazing views and lots of wildlife. Definitely recommend and we will return again
Pleasant stay will return.
Good site Would benefit from another toilet in the main block
Hi William,Thank you for your review. We do have another shower block about 250 yards away from the touring pitches for future reference.Hopefully we see you again soon
We found some excellent pubs for food close by. The White Swan, the Black Horse, the Wellington Heiffer particularly. The pitch number was a little difficult to see - 26 - it had faded. But help came quickly. Also, we plugged into the electricity post (one of two choices) but when the next door neighbour came he explained that we had plugged into his socket. Apparently he pays for the electricity he uses when he stays. No problem and was sorted amicably.Thank you for our stay. Hopefully the hot air balloon event will be better organised next time. Not your fault. Could be spectacular.
Lovely lodge with nice comfortable beds. The hot tub was clean & was always constantly hot & had incredible views. We really enjoyed watching the many swallows, some of which were nesting in eaves of the lodge. On the whole it was lovely, but we did feel that with just a little extra TLC it could be fantastic. The living room clock wasn’t working, neither was the bedside lamp in the double room or the extractor fan light. The fridge freezer was in need of a defrost. A chain style door curtain would be a good idea, so that the doors could be left open onto the decking, as during our short stay 4 swallows accidentally flew inside. Maybe clean up the swallow droppings by the hot tub between guest changeovers. Just a very basic welcome pack would also be nice, ie. a pint of milk & a few tea bags. That said… we would definitely come back again, as it was perfect for staying with our dog, nicely situated & very private.
Lovely place for family and dogs so friendly
Another lovely weekend at Canada fields, brought our granddaughter along for the first time and she loved it too, many more weekends booked already, can't wait to go back.
Lovely lodge, fabulous hot tub and great walled garden to keep my dog safe. Mark and his family are also building a restaurant bar on site and that should make it perfect! 3 miles from Northallerton £11 each way in a taxi. Could do with more cutlery please mark. The TV shows netflix, but could do with an upgraded model as its pretty old. Going again in August, so that says it all!!!
Friendly helpful staff clean accessible facilities would thoroughly recommend this site and will definitely return
We stayed 2 nights in the lodge as a couple with my elderly mum and our dog to attend a family wedding at YafforthMy partner was staying with our elderly dog on the wedding day and me and my mum attended the wedding. We found the lodge to be clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen was very small but usable. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe storage although this was all in one bedroom. The view from the lodge was lovely and the garden was a bonus for the dog. We didn't use the hot tub. The site didn't feel like a touring site as most seemed to be seasonal pitches. We do have a tourer caravan ourselves. We walked round the lake but there wasn't anyone fishing when we arrived. We didn't visit the surrounding area as we just booked to attend the wedding so can't comment on attractions in the area. We left a note for the owner to let them know the bathroom sink and shower were draining slowly so that could be fixed for the next visitor.
