The men’s showers were disgusting. Black mold all around the grating on the floor. My partner had to buy some flip flops as he was frightened of catching something nasty. The site looked unkempt the large grassed area looked like it hadn’t been mowed for weeks. We found dog mess near our caravan one day probably due to there being no bins anywhere around the park.

We stayed 2 nights in the lodge as a couple with my elderly mum and our dog to attend a family wedding at YafforthMy partner was staying with our elderly dog on the wedding day and me and my mum attended the wedding. We found the lodge to be clean and tidy on arrival. The kitchen was very small but usable. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe storage although this was all in one bedroom. The view from the lodge was lovely and the garden was a bonus for the dog. We didn't use the hot tub. The site didn't feel like a touring site as most seemed to be seasonal pitches. We do have a tourer caravan ourselves. We walked round the lake but there wasn't anyone fishing when we arrived. We didn't visit the surrounding area as we just booked to attend the wedding so can't comment on attractions in the area. We left a note for the owner to let them know the bathroom sink and shower were draining slowly so that could be fixed for the next visitor.

Excellent place to stay and fish very reasonably priced,

I've been here several times with my wife, and we both enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the location. There's no onsite bar or children's playground, which makes it an ideal place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday surroundings. It takes ten minutes to drive to Northallerton, a lovely market town, and Bedale and Leburn are not too far. If you're new to the area, North Yorkshire is picturesque. Walking to Northallerton is not for the fainthearted due to the speed of any traffic.The pitches are generous, and again with peace in mind, there are not many touring pitches. The facilities are minimal but clean, presentable, and not far from the touring pitches. The staff are always friendly. Wi-fi can be temperamental, but it is available.We regularly go to sites in other parts of the country, and we go abroad twice a year, but Canada Fields is where we go for a short break if we want to get away from it all for a few days.

Spent 6 nights here, with lambs skipping around in the adjoining field and Anglers walking down to the fishing lake. A pleasant placefor an amble round the site,and near to Northallerton and Leyburn.

We have stayed at Canada Fields a few times over the winter. It offers excellent value for money. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The site is quiet and the facilities are immaculate. It’s our definite ‘go to’ campsite out of season.

we will definatley be telling friend and family about this place absolutely gorgeous location very near the town but far enough away too for a nice peaceful relax mark and staff could no be more helpful 5 stars for us all round
