Canada Fields Caravan Park is near Northallerton in the Vale of York set between the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west and the North York Moors National Park to the east.

We have 40 pitches of which 36 are yearly, 4 are tourer’s with lovely views over the countryside on a landscaped area beside our family run farm. Our pitches all have hard standing with electric hook-up and have water either directly adjacent or very close by. (Unfortunately, at this time we do not facilitate tents)

Over the last year we have added many new features to the caravan park including a heated toilet block, dishwashing facilities and free WiFi.

To one side of the site is our coarse fishing lake that adds to the picturesque setting and is an added attraction for those who enjoy this relaxing sport.

Our new luxury lodge has two bedrooms one with a double bed and one with a single bed. It also has a luxury wet room and a lovely open plan living area with a dining table . A kitchen with all the amenities and a good sized garden with a luxury hot tub.

Dog Friendly with a large walled garden for pets to be let out. The large luxury hot tub is situated on your own wooden decking with a seated area.

Northallerton, the County Town of North Yorkshire is located 3.5 miles to the east of Canada Fields Caravan Park. Markets are held on Wednesday and Saturday and the town has several supermarkets and many independent shops, restaurants and pubs.

Romanby Golf Club is just 2 miles away. Cycle route 71 passes 1 mile from the site, one way heading towards Northallerton and the other towards Bedale. Bedale is located 8 miles away and is known as “The Gateway to the Dales”.

We stayed for a short weekend break on one of the few touring pitches - our pitch was a good size and level with a well placed water tap and electric point at the side We had a lovely view from the front and side of the van My husband spent most of the Saturday fishing and I had a lovely walk in the nearby countryside So overall a really pleasant stay and we will definitely return Also having wifi was a plus too 😊

Lovely Place

Noble, Ray - 18/09/2023

Lodge has lovely, private, walled garden with a picnic bench, garden seats, table and hot tub. Very small kitchen in lodge with little fridge. Cutlery crockery and glassware could be better. Split seam on settee. A couple of the dining chairs were wobbly. TV remote control useless, only working by trial and error. Internal lighting not adequate, could do with some lamps in the sitting room. No outside light in garden. Possible soap holder needed in shower. Lodge is a little jaded. The site itself is lovely with well stocked fishing lakes.

Thank you for your comments Ray. It would of been nice if you had mentioned any problems to us while you were here, so we could have had the chance to look into it.However we will take your comments on board and try and improve our lodge as we do the rest of the site. Hope to see you again soon.

Peaceful

We love it here. Peaceful, friendly, helpful. Amenities are very close, with a full complement of shops. Superb restaurant and pubs near by. Places of interest, large houses and gardens, Birds of prey centres. This visit the womens showers were always cold or just luke warm, if you ran for a while. They said getting sorted (mens showers really hot) needs looking at not good for winter months!!! & cleaning of them needs to be more regular, with bleach!!!Fishing fantastic, but again needs plants attending to more often, as getting clogged up.Will definitely go back, without a doubt. This is our go to place.

Lovely peaceful tranquil setting, very well kept grounds and pitches. Fishing lakes are good and seem to be very well stocked with perch etc. Couple of cracking carp too. Some very good dog walks. Shower and toilet blocks maintained to high standard. Loved waking up to the 2 donkeys in the field opposite. Will definitely be back thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend.

Relaxing stay

Jones, Paul - 04/08/2023

Short weekend break staying for Friday and Saturday only. The booking system is easy and we already knew the gate code and pitch number. We set up and had a slow walk around the site with the dog, with me being a keen fisherman I was looking for spots to come back later and fish. On the Saturday I went onto the larger lake near the memorial bench and had around 7 carp which was great fun, before leaving on the Sunday I went onto the first small pond and had a better stamp of fish all hard fitting small carp of around the 3-5lb mark, great fun.Shower block and toilet was always clean but with only 1 of each for a site of this size it was sometimes busy.Great stay and would definitely return.
