Benone Holiday and Leisure Park and its associated Visitor Centre is situated on the A2 Seacoast Road, approximately 11 miles from Coleraine and 12 miles from Limavady. Located adjacent to Benone Strand, uniquely accessible via board walks, Benone offers the visitor an enticing mix of a coastal location with the beautiful backdrop of Binevenagh Mountain.
Benone has received 4* status through the Graded Holiday Parks Scheme and provides family facilities, scenery and a warm welcome to rival any throughout Europe.
"Waves Bistro", sited just off one of the boardwalks, offers excellent food and beverages all day, including their "golfer's fry", home-made scones and ‘cooked to order’ meals. Enjoy dining inside in front of the log burner or outside on the patio.
The Visitor Centre stocks a range of local tourism literature and a variety of Morelli's ice-creams and beach accessories, and all facilities are available for both on-site campers and day-trippers.
On site, we have 80 touring pitches with electric, 33 of which are detailed as "super pitches". In addition to touring pitches, we have 6 glamping lodges
Visitors and holidaymakers have convenient access to the Benone Strand – Northern Ireland’s first recipient of the European Blue Flag Award. Our guests can also make use of a 9 hole par 3 golf course, our local Visitor Information Centre, a putting green and a crazy golf course.
Seasonal facilities at Benone include our tennis courts, activities area, indoor games room and our outdoor heated splash pools (bookable for two-hour sessions during weekends in June and daily during July and August).

The complex is spotlessly clean and well kept, the staff are helpful and friendly , we have been in camp sites all over Ireland and Europe and this is one of our favourite sites, big thanks to all the staff.
Site was very well sign posted, reception area brightly lit and accessible. Layout (showers/toilets/laundry area) was explained too. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful too. Toilets/showers were washed regularly and very clean. Definitely well worth the money... having electric on site was a big perk for me. Only downside I had was, over night for almost 2 hours, I'm assuming 1 of the sinks in the forest camping area got water airlocked and made a very loud noise, after almost 2 hours it did stop though. Apart from that, I highly recommend Benone camping site and we are already decided to return next year for longer.
As much as I really enjoyed the site itself, and the facilities and all was clean, the fact that there is zero phone signal or any wifi available on site, makes me doubt returning, considering I have 3 kids all lookin for wifi.
It would be helpful if there was a small variety shop available for basic needs. We found the facilities to be clean and well serviced. Some of the vending machines weren’t in good working order and both myself and grandchildren lost money in the machines in the games room. We also felt that there should be more concessionary rates for the splash pool and crazy golf for those who are resident. Some of the younger staff would benefit from further training in customer service.
We had an amazing time when we recently stayed, everything from start to finish was seamless, facilities were perfect and you even made the sun shine while we were there :) kids and parents had an amazing time and the location was fabulous. Thank you!
The campsite was unfortunately not very clean. There was a lot of litter around for a council owned campsite. It really should have been much cleaner. The location is very good. The site could be very good but really the toilets need cleaned and also updated, the hot water in the showers was very good.Around our campsite, there was dried baby wipes for example. There is not enough bins on site.
Been here several times - great spot, close to a fabulous beach. Nice big pitch, helpful staff, good experience. Never seen any trouble, but lots of small kids mid August and it can be a it noisy if you are along the main road past the washroom block where they tend to congregate. The washrooms themselves could do with a freshen up - as many have pointed out before, but nothing seems to be done. Even a deep clean with a power washer would help. But overall, I'd recommend.
We went here camping for 2 days and we loved it. The showers did have a problem the second day with no hot water but we were provided other shower facilities and ot was sorted that evening. Only downfall was the waves restaurant. I would not recommend We ordered a kids breakfast for £7 and my son was handed one slice of bread one slice of bacon and one sausage, was an absolute rip off. My other 2 kids ordered pancakes both costing £7 each and was handed store bought pancakes and a Nutella spread. The prices are extortionate and the quality is mediocre at best. So avoid waves restaurant
Great value for money , facilities all clean . Staff friendly. Waves was excellent for food, also used sea shed for drinks.
Great spot and more than I expected. We wanted to be exactly beside our family and they accommodated us when they could. The cafe food was gorgeous and beach was stunning
