Park Description

Upwood Holiday Park is set in the Heart of Bronte Country just outside the village of Haworth in West Yorkshire. The park caters for touring, camping, glamping and static holiday homes for hire. The park enjoys panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a bar/restaurant and small shop onsite. For children, there is an indoor soft play area and games room, as well as a modern outdoor playground. The park also has direct access to various moorland paths, ideal for long country walk with beautiful views.

Touring and Camping: There is a range of hard standing and grass pitches with and without electric hook-up.

Glamping and Yurts: The standard Pods offer more security and protection from the elements than staying in a tent. They are well insulated, have lighting and an electric socket. The Mega Pods and Yurts, are like mini hotel rooms. They have a comfy bed, futon sofa, kitchenette, TV and ensuite toilet and wash basin.

Holiday Caravans: Upwood Park have a range of holiday caravans available to hire for weekly and short breaks.

Cottage: The onsite cottage 'Quarry Bank House' has three bedrooms and is available for weekly stays all year.

This is due to the location on the Pennines but it was well worth it due to amazing views. It’s a mile and half into Haworth and a good walk downhill but got a taxi coming back as it’s a big hill. Site is lovely ... clean with excellent facilities and very helpful staff. Will be back for sure

A group of 28 family and friends booked into Upwood Holiday Park for a weekend Christmas get together, even with such a large group booking the service was excellent in every way. We were put all together in the Pods in the same area of the park. The kids loved the indoor play gym situated next to the bar which also allowed the adults to relax and socialise. On the Saturday we all booked onto the Santa Train that went from Oxenhope to Keighley another great experience. overall a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

Thourghly enjoyed our stay in the cosy yurts, once the log burner was lit it was toasty warm. The yurt was spotless inside however I think the outsides need a clean now as they are looking a little grubby. Also no cutlery or plates are provided I think the basics should be ( I have tourer and felt like I was taking more with me from home than I do to the van! ) Love the clubhouse, staff are always friendly and service is always good however I think £5.50 for a gin and tonic is steep, especially when some of it comes from Lidl ! We will be back as I love the quiet and friendly atmosphere at upwood ,have stayed with my van and in the yurts just the pods to try now!

The Glamping side is set up to bridge the gap between tenting/camping and holiday home/cottage hire. Therefore it is difficult to remain competitive and offer everything. Hence the no cutlery for instance..... Something that may come, just not yet, but I do take the point that it is something to be considered. We'll have to disagree on the Gin price....... A double premium gin inc any fever tree tonic is £5.60, a large Gordons inc tonic would be £4.40 and the highly rated Lidl that you mention is actually only £4.20 to match the rest..... All usually served in balloon glass with mixed fruit and ice. We stock 30 - 60 mainly premium Gins at any one time..... My nearest pub to home and certainly the nearest pub to here would charge you that for a single. We are a free house and therefore offer prices that don't encourage you to leave the Park...... :) Thanks again for the review and hopefully see you again soon. Regards Frank
