Park Description

The Hideaway is a small, relaxed and friendly campsite in the heart of North Yorkshire, that offers you chilled out camping and glamping that's in-tune with nature and doesn't cost the Earth. There are just 40 pitches in a 6 acre field, which nestles in the midst of our 110 acre farm, surrounded by trees and bounded on one side by a stream. It is off the beaten track, but only a stroll from the village of Husthwaite.

Camping and Glamping in Yorkshire – you will LOVE it here…

…if you appreciate nature and peacefulness off the beaten track…

The treehouse has 5 star facilities but with a wonderful rustic charm. My daughter loved the secret slide down to the games room and we enjoyed spending time together star gazing, exploring the woods, night time walks, homemade pizzas in the pizza oven and using the hot tub. The staff were fantastic and even decorated the property for Halloween. This is a truly magical property and we have made some fantastic family memories

I will always think of The Hideaway as my happy place. It is so peaceful and relaxing, no matter what the weather does. Sitting under the stars, cooking over the fire, and just watching the wildlife in beautiful scenery is wonderful. If you love getting away from it... Both times we have stayed there we have stayed in a pod or Hobbit house which are great. The kids loved pushing their things from the car in a wheelbarrow and the fact that you are allowed to have a campfire is a bonus. The washing up room and shower block/toilets are immaculate. We will definitely come again!

We absolutely loved staying at Rufus’s Roost in the half term holidays for a family break. It was stunning, so rustic, cosy & with so many luxury touches. My children were amazed on finding the secret play den accessed by a slide & especially enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub. The surrounding woodland provided much fun too with its swing, den building & toasting marshmallows on the firepit. We also discovered a new favourite game (torch tag). This place is an absolute gem & we will definitely return!!
