Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

Situated in a lovely quaint village, we had a welcoming reception by the lady manning the office and a pleasant overnight stay with electric hook up and excellent toilet / washroom facilities at Tudor caravan and motorhome park.If the Shop had been better stocked, we would have bought provisions from there, but we got by using the local café who were kind enough to supply us with some last-minute provisions that we had forgotten. We enjoyed a simple meal in the evening, at The Tudor Pub (which is at the entrance to the site) and a pleasant breakfast for the following morning.Lots of history and things to see at Slim Bridge and is it not for the fact that we had to be somewhere else the following day, we would’ve enjoyed exploring the village and taking Walks down the canal towpath. No doubt this is a very popular site in the summer so I would advise that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.Well done Tudor 👍🏼Thanks for having us.
Thank you for your review and feedback, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your night with us. I'm sorry our little shop didn't have the products you needed, we are trying to hit the very fine balance of providing the right produce but not having stock go out of date and with that in mind, this time of year we mainly stock our local butcher's sausages, bacon and burgers (which we keep in the freezer), milk from our local milk man and free range eggs - also locally sourced. Other than that and ice-creams, we have things that people have asked us for over the last few months such as tea/coffee etc.We are always keen for feedback and suggestions on what else should be stocked so we appreciate your comments and hope that you choose to visit us again sometime.Kind regards.
Convenient site, we visit for one purpose only - to visit the WWT reserve at Slimbridge.
A great stop over .excellent location. Pub / restaurant. Outstanding dog walks .ultra clean amenities. Well organised site .large pitches. .lots to do in the areaWe would highly recommended 👌
On this occasion we did not use the showers so unable to comment on that, however the staff were friendly and the site clean and tidy. They were having a difficult time with very heavy rainfall causing soft ground and puddles everywhere. Having a big motorhome it is sometimes difficult to get into pitches but no problem here! We will be back soon I am sure.
Great place to stay lovely pub at the site entrance serving good food and excellent beerSite is clean and well cared for with helpful staff we have been several times and are planning to return Just a comment the wash rooms are not very warm so take a warm outer layer and the water push buttons could do with staying on just a little longer
This will now be a regular place for us. We like the adult only area. Great idea!
Staying in January and after wet weather, which had led to very muddy paths and roadway, getting around on foot very difficult, think this needs attention. Shower block immaculately clean, but very chilly as thermostat set at 13! Could not feel the underfloor heating advertised! However, temperature in washing up room was set at 18!
Thank you for your review,Unfortunately with there being a lot of rain this time of year there is very little that can be done about muddy puddles etc., but personally I always take a pair of boots with me where ever I go in my caravan.I am sorry about the temperature in the shower block, we have had a problem with the underfloor heating in one zone which would explain the 13 degree temperature. It is not set at 13 degrees it just happened to be that temperature without the heating working. I am glad it was not a cold period when you stayed as that would've got quite nippy! You'll be pleased to hear that the underfloor heating is now fixed and fully operational. We hope you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.
I Stayed to go to Slimbridge as I have done a few times in the past. The facilities are very good my only comment is that the temperature of the water in the shower block in the Orchard was not very hot. I am not sure it would be at a high enough temperature at the shower head to kill bacteria such as Legionella.Maybe a quick assessment, I would be interested to know the outcome for peace of mind. I always enjoy my short stays with you and hope for many more in the future.
Thank you for your review,I can put your mind at rest straight away as our showers and all our wash facilities have monthly legionella test by our resident fully qualified legionella inspector. All stored hot water is at a continuous temperature of above 50 degrees Celcius and cold water is below 20 degrees Celcius as per regulations. The water coming out of the showers is between 38 and 43 degrees celcius as per british standards.I hope this helps and we see you again soon.RegardsRobin Fairall
1st class will definitely be returning a great find lacks for nothing..
Overall a lovely site with a pub next door. Pitches a good size and mostly level. Toilets and showers are a little dated now but adequate for everyone’s needs. Love the fact it was quiet but also fellow campers were allowed to celebrate NY in caravans. Great walks along the canel and to the George pub. Pub on site food was lovely but no party atmosphere for NY so left early.. Really enjoyed the break
