Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.

The Orchard is shielded by hedges and has a selection of both old & new apple and plum trees - many of which are local heritage varieties.

We have visited many times and have seen the site develop over the years. There's an adult only area with an amenity building which is basically clean but could be better. Hot showers were good and of the push button type and hot water is preset. We found the lane up to the site very busy this time and as its so narrow it was a bit tricky negotiating delivery vans, lorries and cars. The site is in a fabulous location and the Tudor pub at the entrance is a bonus albeit 2 glasses of house wine cost us £19.40. Staff were friendly.Having caravanned for over 30 years we have always tended to use this site on our way back from the south West but it will be our last as there's other sites just as goid if not better.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We're not sure what more we could do in the facilities in the adult only area as it was recently refurbished and have had a lot of excellent feedback over it. The pub is a separate business to us so won't see your comments. We hope you enjoyed your stay regardless and wish you well.
had a great time again at the park well kept clean and tidy only complaint was the internet could not get on took day and a half to get through bye phone then had to wait 3rd day to get wifi my wife received it but i had to get more credit said my voucher had run out cost 25 pounds will never use that again but great site cafe and pub are great as well of site
When booking you could book your pitch. It seemed like every pitch was available in one area. This was off putting as we like a bit of activity on site. To avoid an empty field we ended up in the adult only section. It was nice and the shower block was spotless. Again though some caravans were permanently pitched and not being used. They had the best pitches tbh so that was disappointing. There were other campers in the other fields but it was quiet overall. I wonder if like myself people are put off from booking because it appears to be empty? If this was the case it would be such a shame. Lovely pub and good food served right on your doorstep. Central spot for Tewkesbury and Bristol.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are known as a quiet site which is why people like us. This year, all sites across the southwest have been saying that their general booking are down and we think it's because it's been so hot. People with dogs aren't booking anywhere near as much at the moment - but we are busy in September! The caravans you refer to are seasonal pitches, the pitches they are on aren't considered to be the best but because they don't have a hard standing leading to them are best for occasional use rather than everyday driving over which would wreck the grass. As these are only for occasional use, the visitors there come and go when they want. We hope you enjoyed your stay regardless.Kind regards
We have visited the Tudor camp site on many occasions , and it never disappoints. A lovely family run business where nothing is too much trouble. All facilities are very good and we will definitely be visiting again.
Great site. Only stayed one night . Didn't use the showers but they looked very well maintained and clean. Would definitely book more nights next time to explore the area.
Excellent facilities. Lovely large pitches.Friendly helpful staff. They now have a small camp shop which was very useful.Close to The Wetlands.Lovely canal walksNext door to the pub and a local cafe.Ideal position for visiting Cotswolds, Cheltenham and Wales
Had a great stay staff helpful and booking easy.Cycled to cafe at Saul junction
Welcoming owners, no fuss sorting the pitch. The site, toilet block, washing up area and showers were at least clean until anyone left them less so. Easy access waste and recycling area. Small shop selling meat, burger buns, milk, ice creams and essentials, but no cheese or loaves. Nice touch having fresh veg for sale outside with an honesty tin. Busy pub and cafe on the doorstep. Easy walk to the wetland trust for a fab day out, and even closer to the canal for a spot of fishing. We didn't take bikes but would do so next time as the towpath is frequented with cyclists. We would definitely visit again
