Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

We’ve been visiting this site for over six years and genuinely love it, which makes this feedback all the more disappointing to write. Our biggest frustration is the rigid minimum-night stay policy. On this occasion, we simply wanted to stay for one night on our journey to our destination and another single night on the return journey. Unfortunately, we were told this wasn’t possible. As a result, we had to rearrange our entire holiday itinerary and book a two-night stay instead. What made this particularly frustrating was arriving to find more than 40 pitches sitting empty. It’s difficult to understand why one-night bookings can’t be accommodated when there is clearly plenty of availability. The advice from reception was, “We can’t let you book one night at this time, but if you contact us nearer the date, we might be able to accommodate you.” Unfortunately, this isn’t a practical solution when people need to plan and book holidays in advance. We’ve received the same response
Thank you for your review,We understand your frustration with regards to minimum night requirements but this is the only way we can operate efficiently. On some weekends we could book 40 or 50 1 night bookings for a Saturday night and as a result we could be completely empty for the Friday night. This is the only way we can maximize our pitches potential. Ok, this didn't sound like we were busy when you stayed but we don't know in advance when we will be full or not.
site itself good, loud music from pub late Friday evening, area outside site scruffy, a few flowers in the planters instead of weeds would be good, Blackshed area very scruffy. This all adds to overall impression - pity.
A very well located site (close to Slimbridge and the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal) that is extremely well run. Clean and well maintained shower blocks, plenty of hot water in the washing up room, pitches that are regularly mown (excellent quality of grass), good pub and great cafe right on the doorstep. Our only disappointment was that the flow of hot water in the showers was very low - and the push button system meant that the water supply kept cutting out every other minute. This may have been because the site is trying to conserve water, but maybe there's still scope to improve the quality of the showers whilst at the same time reducing the risk of waste?
The site was kept lovely. Showers were nice. Staff were very friendly and the on site shop was handy if you didn't want to drive. The local pub was good with reasonable prices. Great location for access to canal. Only negative was no on site dog walk. Enjoyable holiday location
We were welcomed on our arrival and we had clear instructions where to place our caravan. The toilet and shower block was always clean. In fact one afternoon a toilet had a broken lock the next day it was replaced. All staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Tudor caravan park is central for days out in the Gloucester area.
We wild camped to test our motorhome in the back field. Lovely site, great walks and good pub and cafe. Will definitely return
We chose this site for its locality given we wanted to meet up with friends in the area. However, we will definitely return the site is lovely clean and with all facilities. We stayed in the adults only section and would thoroughly recommend that if you want some peace and quiet. Some people may moan about showers which are push button but they didn’t really bother us after all. It’s camping not a five star hotel although the toilet block is nearly refurbished. I have already recommended it to friends, loads to see and do in the area.
We have stayed there several times one of our favourite sites
This site is located through a pub car park and a gated entrance. Reception is on the right. Booking in is simple enough and the staff are friendly and professional. You are given a map of the site and shown your pitch and how to get there. There is a very basic shop in reception selling local eggs and meats ,but you have to time it right for milk. There are several areas available, some grassed some with hard standing. All are level. The site is kept amazingly clean and tidy from the outside areas to the two shower blocks. The entrance of which has a vending machine for drinks and snacks and a small freezer for your ice blocks. As said there is a pub (dog friendly) at the entrance. This serves breakfast from 0800 to 1100.Across the road next to the Gloucester Canal is The Black Shed cafe, so you are spoilt for choice food wise. The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is across the canal and at the end of the road. A 15 to 20 minutes walk. Dogs are NOT allowed in.Brilliant site.
