The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

It was a last minute booking and they kindly fitted us on a pitch with electric. Lovely well kept campsite,Excellent facilities and great location for canal walk and great pub also The black Shed brillant Sunday roast and boat trip.We will be back Thanks Tudor Team RegardsMary & Gerald Reading
I requested a quiet area and got one . There was noone on reception when I arrived but paperwork was easy to find with my pitch number. Electric was easy to hook upto with 15m cable. As there was noone there to ask, I hope I used correct utilities. As it was our first visit I didn't want to leave my dog in van to use showers or toilets in case he barked abd disturbed others. So I can't comment on them. We enjoyed walking by canal and a quiet drink outside pub next door. I left early as I was exhausted. Unfortunately my alarm went off when I got up at 7am but I quickly switched it off and apologised to neighbour when I saw them later . They said don't worry it happens to everyone. Which I thought was nice . I would like to know difference between toilet waste abd chemical waste for next visit . I hope to come back when we are more used to it and find it more relaxing.
Hi Catherine.Thank you for the lovely review and feedback and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. The first visit can be a little strange but it looks as if everything went well for you. There is no difference between toilet waste and chemical waste.....it's also called Black waste at times. The only difference we have is that Grey waste is the washing up water/shower water etc. and that has it's own emptying point. I hope that helps for future reference and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future.Kind regards.
I had a lovely short stay here, I only came from Stroud as I just fancied a couple of nights away in my Roof Tent. This site is very well appointed with nice staff and its in a lovely area with a great pub and cafe stumbling distance away. As a solo female camper I felt safe and was able to pitch close to the loo and shower block, there is a bigger field further away from the facilities. This is a popular site for all walks of life, and whilst I was initially concerned it would be noisy at night I needn't have worried as I had two very peaceful nights. The only negatives I can come up with are nit picks really; the Wash block could use a bit of attention as some of the door locks are wonky and the push on showers and taps don't stay on for more than a few seconds. The two wash basin cubicles weren't the cleanest but I suspect that is more from people not cleaning around the sinks after themselves. The hand dryers are crazy loud - you can hear them from the other side of the canal!
This park is well maintained and spacious pitches. The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help where they can. The location is perfect for a stroll along the canal. There are two place outside the campsite where you can get a great pint and great food. Fantastic place to stay.
A lovely peaceful site, great location for slimbridge.Site is trying a small shop, the only problem was a couple of times I tried using it, it was closed 🙁maybe a sign about opening times. Also on our visit the general waste bins were over flowing, although there were empty bins in a locked area where guest couldn't access.
Thank you for your review and feedback.I am sorry the shop was closed when you needed it but it is run in reception by our reception staff which means it will be closed at lunch time and after 5.00, we don't have enough staff to have one open full time but the time reception would be open again would have been on the door. We can't issue exact times as if we have to go on site to help a customer, it will be closed/ lunch is taken whenever is possible for the duty warden so no fixed time etc.We hope you understand. The bins are sorted every day by our staff so even when they do get full, they're not left like that, we sort them, recycle things that people have thrown away and pull out more bins as necessary. Again, because we have such a small staff team, this sometimes doesn't get done immediately if the member of staff is busy.I hope this makes sense and we can welcome you back to the park in the future.Kind regards.
Great site, our fourth visit. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy access to Slimbridge Wildlife Centre and canal walks. Good food and drink at the Tudor Arms. Facilities kept clean and tidy. Recycling available, but the addition of food waste collection would be a plus.
Stayed for 3 nights as stopover to cornwall .will definitely book again lovely site good facilities and value for money
Layout of the site is excellent, with spotless facilities. The non electric pitch area provides lots of space. to spread out. Plenty of local attractions
Lovely site clean and tidy lovely for walks along the canal and along to the WWT
