Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

Stopped with family, visited Slimbridge and canal walks, friendly site with good facilities and pub on entrance.
Nice enough site. Stayed in Orchard Area. Pitches rather close together with no privacy between (smoking from next pitch wafting into our motorhome …). Toilet block functional though seemingly quite dated. Great pub next to site with best pub meal we have enjoyed in years! Site very close to Slimbridge wetlands which was a fabulous visit. Would return to campsite but likely try another area to pitch up on site.
Stopped for one night on the way further down south. Easy to arrive and great pitch. The facilities were brilliant.
This is such an excellent place to stay and only live 15 minutes away but felt we were right away from homeWe brought our tent and camped in the end field. The facilities were excellent on site and staff very friendly. The pub is handy for food and also the Black Shed opposite. Easy access to canal to WWT and walks to Frampton and Sharpness. There is also paddle boarding and canoeing on the canal too. Excellent to ride your bikes. Such a perfect get away which isn't expensive either so good value for money. Will be coming back again for sure as open all year round 😊
Well layed out, more focused for caravans and campers but that ment the camping field was lovely and quiet.
This was our third visit. Tudor has everything you need. Super facilities; clean and flat site; not too busy. There is a great pub at the entrance to the site and the gorgeous canal with long flat walls either way.
We were told to set up on the hard standing not the grass. This was very stoney and not nice to walk on. Toilet and showers were very clean and well kept, and free to use. Reception had a shop with basics and some lovely produce. We stayed in the Orchard which was quiet with lots of fallen fruit, resulting in lots of flies unfortunately. We didn’t visit slimbridge wetlands as dogs were not allowed and it was much too hot to leave her in the van. Nice walks along the canal. Good was good in the pub. Overall enjoyed our stay and will return.
We came with a family group on this occasion but have previously visited as a couple. There are different areas you can choose based on your specific requirements. Pub and cafe Wilton walking distance and canal for water activities and Slimbridge for nature lovers. Facilities are doable and kept clean. Small shop on site with local produce.
The park is nicely located. Its position and lay out are generally good. WE had to wait until literally the minute of midday to enter park. Facilities are generally nice, clean and well maintained. The few observations we would make.First the showers are inflexible and the shower water spread, in use, too tight. Making washing a slightly challenging experience. The Meadow was nice, quite near the reception area, passing traffic both vehicular and pedestrian was heavy and the road surface very dusty, causing debris to come across our pitch and into caravan. This made sitting outside difficult at times and presented a layer of dust across the inside of caravan unless door kept shut. ( Appreciate the extremely unusual dry and hot period). The use of cash only payment for the launderette and vends caught us out. We asked in reception, No change. Advised to go to Cam for a cash point. The cam cashpoint, Glos Asda, Sainsburys Tesco and M&S cashpoints all faulty. A pain.
Thank you for your review and feedback. As our check out time isn't until 11.00 and we have pitches to get around before we can let anyone on site so I'm sure you can appreciate that, even if you turn up early, the 'arrival anytime after 12.00' is no earlier than 12.00. I'm sorry if you were disappointed that you couldn't access your pitch earlier.I'm not sure what you mean about the showers being inflexible but we provide an area for putting clothes out so that they don't get wet and they are of a standard, if not larger than most size, shower head etc.It has, as you rightly point out, been ridiculously and unusually dry. sadly, dust is an issue where ever we go.Change is definitely given in reception if we have enough, however, cashback isn't as we're not set up for it and card charges are huge. We are great supporters of cash not leaving our economy so try to encourage people to use it whenever possible. We hope that you enjoyed your stay with us regardless of the above and that we can welcome you back in the future.Kind regards.
We stayed for 3 nights in a large tent with no electric hook up. The area to pitch was large and didn't become crowded even in the middle of the summer hols. The toilet/shower block was amble sized and clean. The location was great for canal side walks, the 'shed' across the road had live music and the paddleboard hire topped off a wonderful weekend. We took the dog and bikes for the kids and the site was great. Suggested improvements - a small pump track/jumps in the far field for bikes and a park/swing/slide.
