"Great site for visiting the Forest of Dean / Wye valley area"

D Jones - Stayed with family, Jun 2019

This is a site with separate areas for tent camping and caravans/motorhomes which have the option of hard standing or grass pitches with electric hookup. A new toilet block is well kitted out with a family / disabled wet room as well as the usual showers, toilets, washing up and laundry rooms. The site is set in a very quiet area with good walking routes. The road up to the camping area is quite steep and single track so some care is needed if towing a caravan or in a large motorhome but is only a short way from the main road.

"Lovely Site"

Lovely site, late night noise not tolerated. Campsite map would have been useful as we and many others were unaware of where the service points were.

"Wonderfully maintained site"

Mr G Cowie - Stayed with family, May 2019

The grass was maintained in an exemplary manner and this helped in the feeling of a well managed site. Two negatives however. The access road was very steep and gave some difficulty on arrival towing a caravan. It would have helped to have had some warning at least at the bottom of the hill so that correct gear could be chosen. The facility for emptying toilets was very poor and needs upgrading and a more tidy surrounding. There was no facility for emptying the waste water and lifting to the chemical disposal facility not realistic. It is clear that much investment has recently taken place and to very good effect.

"Short break in Forest to visit local sites"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Jun 2019

Handy position for local town. Very busy, but only to be expected as half term. Was only given a business card on arrival and instructed to pick a pitch. No other information given/conversation. Efficient online booking system.

"Fab place to stay"

Mrs S Davey - Stayed with family, May 2019

Really clean lovely facilities. The lady was so friendly and gave us lots of advice on attractions. Great choice of pitches and lots for the kids to do.

"Handy for Forest of Dean"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, May 2019

A fairly steep narrowish driveway leads up to a nice, tidy and fairly level site. Reception not manned much while we were there as site not busy, but mobile no. on door if assistance required. Toilet block very new with excellent facilities and kept spotlessly clean.... A fairly steep narrowish driveway leads up to a nice, tidy and fairly level site. Only negative comment I can make is lack of signage to toilet waste disposal area, although this may have been remedied now ( it's on the left at the top of the hill just before the entrance to the site!).

"Friendly site close to Colebrook"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, May 2019

Clean site, friendly staff, good location for walk into woods and Colebrook. Recommend the Petit Hibou cafe in Colebrook. New showers could do with extra hooks and shelves for toiletries
