"Good location"

Ms B Flynn - Stayed with partner, Jul 2020

Good sized pitches in a good location in ready reach of the Forest of Dean. The site was clean and well maintained. Negatives for us were the use of fire pits which gave off a lot of smoke (damp wood?) and very cramped showers with not enough hooks.

What attracted us the first time was the location, with mountain biking, canoeing, hiking and picturesque views on the doorstep. Once we’d experienced the site we were more than happy with the facilities. The staff are all really nice. Great value for money, and we’ll be going for a 5th time as soon as we can.

The cleanest campsite I’ve EVER stayed at. Spacious pitches, recycling bins, fire pits for hire. Would recommend and can’t wait to return.

A very clean and tidy site, especially during these worrying times. Very friendly staff and exceptionally good value for money.

"Super site perfectly located"

Mr M Bryce - Stayed with friends, Jul 2020

After months of no travel due to lockdown, a day walking on Dartmoor was needed. Greenacres is perfectly placed for this. The site has only just reopened and was quiet for our stay but clearly much thought has been put into customer safety. The facilities are spotless... After months of no travel due to lockdown, a day walking on Dartmoor was needed. Greenacres is perfectly placed for this. The site has only just reopened and was quiet for our stay but clearly much thought has been put into customer safety. The facilities are spotless with all precautions you'd expect in place. With the lack of campers for months, the whole site looks immaculate. Located just outside Okehampton, we'll definitely be back either en-route to Cornwall or for more days on the moors.

"Great site"

Enjoyed our stay. The grass had been cut but the cut grass had been left and as it was wet it stuck to everything and got everywhere but other fields were better maintained but it’s not a huge problem. The grass had been cut but the cut grass had been left and as it was wet it stuck to everything and got everywhere but other fields were better maintained but it’s not a huge problem. And my partner found the showers very hot one day and then ice cold the next but we were informed of a problem. We understand these things happen though. Otherwise, very clean site especially during covid 19. Signage clear regarding social distancing. Enjoyed it, would recommend

"Lovey family run site, Shame about the showers"

Mrs M Robinson - Stayed with friends, Jul 2020

This campsite is one of the cleanest well maintained sites I have been to in a long time. The ability to hire fire pits is a lovely touch. Thd only downside is the temperature of the showers, I have come home with literally blisters on my head from burning myself... This campsite is one of the cleanest well maintained sites I have been to in a long time. The ability to hire fire pits is a lovely touch. Thd only downside is the temperature of the showers, I have come home with literally blisters on my head from burning myself trying to shower. Apparently there had been a problem with the boiler, and the gage got turned to far up. However throughout our three night stay the water temperature was either cold or boiling, the response from the owners 'opps sorry must be to far the other way now'. This is a real shame as the site could be a real 5 star but the water temp was a real let down and not resolved while we were there

"Great campsite"

Mrs L Hatton - Stayed with family, Jul 2020

We stayed at this campsite straight after lockdown and the cleanliness was exceptional. The staff were lovely and friendly and the pitches were very spacious. Looking forward to returning in September
