"Lovely site, little more attention to detail could make it perfect"

Mrs H Franklin - Stayed with partner, Oct 2018

Generally a beautifully kept well set out site with friendly and helpful staff. A couple of points that could be improved - the waste bins in the washing up area had not been emptied for a time as the contents were going mouldy. The chemical empty point was not obvious... Generally a beautifully kept well set out site with friendly and helpful staff. A couple of points that could be improved - the waste bins in the washing up area had not been emptied for a time as the contents were going mouldy. The chemical empty point was not obvious and a notice on the shop (which was closed during our off season trip) or toilets would have been helpful. Also the rubbish/recycling bins were overflowing. The above made a beautiful site with a very smart new wash block and copious hot water a four star instead of a five star site.

"Lovely campsite"

We made a last minute booking and were very pleased with our choice. Beautifully kept site with clean and modern toilets and showers. Would definitely go back again next year as well located for walking and mountain biking.

"First Class Site"

S Burton - Stayed with family, Oct 2018

Great site with large level pitches. Washing and toilets of very high standard plus the bonus of washing machine and drier. The whole location is first class and I would highly recommend this site.

"Lovely stay"

Mrs K Williams - Stayed with partner, Oct 2018

We didn't get off to a great start as it would have been nice to have been greeted on arrival and we didn't have the fire pit that we prepaid for, however they went out of their way to correct our issues and we realise we were off season

Hi Katie My fault entirely! I am sorry I was not here to greet you. I am not always up on the campsite when we are this quiet as the season draws to a close. However, your comment is valid and has been addressed for the future. We are glad your issues were resolved... Hi Katie My fault entirely! I am sorry I was not here to greet you. "Single night stopover"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Oct 2018

We visited this camp site due to location and and it was perfect for a Saturday night stopover. What was great was that we were able to book a single night. Most sites have a minimum of two. New and clean facilities so would definitely come back here for a longer stay... We visited this camp site due to location and and it was perfect for a Saturday night stopover. What was great was that we were able to book a single night. Most sites have a minimum of two. New and clean facilities so would definitely come back here for a longer stay in FoD. Haven’t been able to rate staff as we arrived in the afternoon and no one was around. We went straight to our chosen pitch and didn’t see anyone for the rest of the stay. For us this wasn’t a problem, but for others who want to find out about the area etc, it might be for them. Loved all the wild flowers around the site too

Our stay at Greenacres was very pleasant, the site is run by a family who live in a bungalow nearby, so even though we weren't able to 'check in' we found a friendly member of staff the next day. The location was perfect for the activities we wanted to get to while in the forest of Dean and was relatively easy to find (sat nav ends before you approach the entrance, but it's signposted well enough). The only real downside was the design of the shower, as it's public use you need to take your change of clothes in with you, and the awkward layout of a slight notch and bench at the end of the shower booth means it's hard to shower, dry, and get changed without getting your clothes wet. A minor complaint as we only spent 2 nights there but if i was doing a fortnight or so it would irk me somewhat. Everything else was absolutely fine, showers and dish-washing area were immaculate, the grass was very well maintained, the electric hook up was easy to install and conveniently placed, and the two members if staff we met were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definately stay with them again.
