Also we think it would improve things if the pitches were hardstanding for the caravan etc. and the awning and this would avoid mud being carried everywhere, even into the toilets. A few basic facilities for the children would be more than welcome for families, but these to be set up at the bottom of the site where the climbing frame is so that the noise was kept away from campers. The idea of teas coffees, and snacks would be welcome especially to tent families.

We only stayed overnight as the weather had turned very wet so we decided to head for home. Greenacres was a wonderful contrast to the very basic campsite we’d come from further south & we’ll definitely return next year. Despite the heavy rain the facilities were very clean & are of a high quality. The Forest of Dean is beautifully wooded with footpaths everywhere & we fancy canoeing along the river Wye too. No Wifi & the whole area seemed to be a bit of a mobile phone black hole though!

The site has a new looking and clean wash/facilities block and office. There was an issue with the number of power hook-up when we arrived, but the office quickly provided a splitter to resolve this. Conveniently located close to many of the attractions in the Forest... The site has a new looking and clean wash/facilities block and office. I’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it but this time we couldnt make it due to local lockdown, I tried to message the site for a refund or move the dates but had no reply on a couple of occasions? Not sure why but a little disappointed
Hi Mark I am sorry that I missed your email. I have now replied and hopefully can resolve your issue. Kind regards Maureen
