Family and friends get together for a birthday celebration 🥳. Very large plot to accommodate us altogether. Great facilities, lovely walks with the dog to the village. All enjoyed it immensely. Thank you

We picked this site because of the reviews on ukcampsite.co.uk and its one of the best run sites we've ever been to. The owning family could not be more helpful or friendly. You can tell they spend years with owning a building company, the standard of finish in the facilities is superb. The site is a great base to access the beautiful Wye valley where you can either relax in the majestic countryside or take part in numerous light to challenging activities including mountain biking, canoeing and diving. Its a great location for dog walking where one of us spotted a wild boar ! There are also goats and chickens on the site itself for the young ones to feed. You can hire firepits for £10/day with wood. The site itself isn't huge and its a little caravan-intensive but its relatively quiet. The shower blocks are spotless but can get a little busy at peak times. Make sure you follow the directions provided if you are in a large vehicle or towing, satnav will take you down some EXTREMELY narrow roads. We can recommend the food at the George in the local village St Briavels.

The host and owners Bev and John are really friendly, and their daughters Joe and Jess are like mum and Dad very hard working but always find time to chat. We love coming here and consider them to be our friends.

"Great site but care needed at half term"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, May 2019

Great site and have stayed before out of holiday time. This time due to half term it was busy which in itself isn't an issue. Facilities remained spotless, helpful staff and great food. However, some noise late at night (after 11pm) and lots of children hanging around... Great site and have stayed before out of holiday time. This time due to half term it was busy which in itself isn't an issue. Facilities remained spotless, helpful staff and great food. However, some noise late at night (after 11pm) and lots of children hanging around toilet block on bikes slightly annoying. Not sites fault but would want warden to discourage. Also, distinct lack of camping etiquette noted with others walking through our pitch (incl adults) and children drinking directly from water tap and filling guns despite sign saying not to. Again, not the sites fault but due to layout of site it makes it more likely to happen. Great site but if you want peace and quiet avoid holiday weeks!

"Our Favourite Campsite"

Mrs S Davies - Stayed with family, May 2019

This really is one of our favourite campsites, the cleanliness is outstanding, it is peaceful, lovely atmosphere, not too big, our four year old feels safe to ride his bike around and you still feel like your camping in the woods.

"First visit to area"

S George - Stayed with partner, May 2019

Having read many reviews of the site, we were pleased to see that it met our expectations. Suitably positioned to make the most of what the Forest of dean and wye valley have to offer.
