"Nice canalside location with easy access"

Great location for cyclists and walkers, clean and friendly site with great pub for real ale and food adjacent. Great that you can now order newspapers from Black Shed, which also provides some necessities and cafe facilities.

The showers / toilets are maybe in need of a little updating and my wife found that the ladies showers were quite messy whenever she went in to use them. All in all it is a very relaxing site which isn’t overly expensive compared to some sites and well worth a visit. It was an added bonus to have a pub virtually on site.

"Great stopover"

Nice park. Great pub next door. Maybe when booking last minute arrivals staff could advise the need to book tables for dinner at pub if required. Bottom field not flat but lots of room.

"Local amenities"

The Tudor pub is overpriced and the food is basic and not very good, would recommend you eat elsewhere. New cafe opposite the site by the canal is very good for breakfast and coffees etc.

"Good place to relax"

Mr A King - Stayed with partner, Jun 2018

Overall a very well located site, generally very peaceful and with easy access. Proximity of pub & cafe a real advantage. A pity that the canal is inaccessible and invisible from the site. Possible improvements:- a). an automated gate would be more convenient, b).... Overall a very well located site, generally very peaceful and with easy access.
