Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park is a third generation, family run caravan and camping site in North Devon, which sits overlooking 3 miles of beautiful and fabulous Golden Sands.

For over 30 years we have welcomed families and the generations that follow, helping to continue family traditions and make treasured self-catering Woolacombe holiday memories in our relaxed environment.

We even welcome dogs, so that every family member enjoys the holiday experience and feels included. So if it's a dog friendly holiday in Woolacombe you're after, you've come to the right place!

We offer a wide range of self-catering Holiday Homes to suit all budgets, from our modest and comfortable Ocean View Bronze Caravans to our quirky and popular Sea View Cabins. For that extra special experience, we have a selection of holiday homes with Hot Tubs, all with exceptional views of the North Devon coast!

If camping and touring is your thing, we do that too! All with breath-taking ocean or countryside views, 5 toilet and shower blocks with wetsuit and pet washing areas!

We are the perfect choice for a family orientated, relaxing holiday in North Devon. As the closest holiday park to Woolacombe Beach, our dedicated footpath to the beach will take you straight to the heart of Woolacombe through National Trust countryside within 15-20 minutes and allows you to avoid parking charges and explore the beautiful surroundings that North Devon has to offer.

Our enchanted off-road footpath takes you safely to Woolacombe beach and Woolacombe Village where you can enjoy family-friendly independent shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars, even with your furry friend if you decide to bring your dog!

If you prefer to relax from the Holiday Park, you can soak in the beautiful sunsets with a bottle of wine from our onsite shop or enjoy the views from the sun terrace in The Clubhouse with a cocktail and dinner.

As a small family owned and run business, we continually reinvest profits to improve the holiday park for your enjoyment. Over the past few years we have seen new caravans added to our fleet, chalet improvements, a new children’s park, Clubhouse, swimming pool and arcade refurbishment, a new sun terrace, new toilet and shower blocks for the camping and caravanning, road improvements, a new shop kitchen to extend their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and recently we have added holiday homes with hot tubs, built more seasonal pitches and so much more.

During the evenings, the Clubhouse is 'the' place to be for a great night of family-friendly entertainment. Let loose and enjoy some music, dancing, first-class cabaret, cash bingo, game shows, and quizzes. This is the perfect rendezvous to unwind, kick back and make new friends. And if you fancy a bite to eat, there is a great selection of tantalising dishes to try. For those of you with a sweet tooth, we've got you covered with a selection of delicious desserts.

On arrival we were greeted professionally and were dealt with quickly and clearly directed to our pitch.The facilities were always clean and were well equipped and the location was perfect with plenty of activities on site or a short walk to Woolacombe beach and shops.Dog friendly as well so perfect for us and our furry friends.

Great that it's dog friendly in the bar/night club

Loved the views, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, (A special mention for Tamara), the well stocked shop, the night entertainment allowing dogs in and the walk to the beach.Didn't think much of the tasteless food in the restaurant (Sweet n Sour Chicken and Beef Noodles). And the fact that we ordered a round of drinks in 'happy hour' and the final, most expensive drink in the round, wasn't classed in that catergory as it was served after time. rediculous!I would recommend installing a free dog bath so sandy pooches keep the sand out of your lodges and night club.

This is the 3rd year we have returned with our 2 grandchildren 4 and 6. Unfortunately the atmosphere of the site has changed, there was groups of teenage boys running around the caravans being noisy and banging on peoples caravans for fun at midnight. At one point i asked them not to run around our caravan as the kids were asleep, around 9.30pm and was met with abuse. I believe it was a kids football club staying on site which ruined it for several families.The kids entertainment has also declined, the famous Wooly Bear that the grandchildren love only made a short appearance sunday evening, done one kids dance and left. 2 disappointed children. The kids entertainment team tried their best but seemed to be short staffed.We stayed in a silver caravan, mid range price and found stains on the curtains and mould in the bedroom. Small niggle but a sign things are declining.Unfortunately we will not be returning next year as it has lost its sparkle for us, such a shame as a great locat

Clean tidy busy site.

There were lots of great things about woolacombe sands - the whole place was kept clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, the views are spectacular. The only slight negatives:- the pitches are very crowded, no where for children to play near the tents and the volume in the bar was ridiculously loud, I have a child with sensory issues and he just couldn't cope with the volume at all, and to be fair, it made it impossible to relax or chat for anyone else without shouting to be heard. Stayed in late May for the school half term.The location is stunning and the campsite is very well equipped with entertainment, indoor/outdoor pool, crazy golf, pool tables, shop etc etc. and walking distance to the beach through the valley floor.The downside is the additional costs - we booked a pitch a year previous and this was resold and we were moved to a pitch that was in a dead spot with no Wi-Fi or phone signal as we did not pay an additional £10 to secure the pitch, which we were not aware of in the past 15years we have been staying there. This was an issue as our Daughter had revision to do and had to go to the Clubhouse to revise, which was busy and she gave up after three days. In the shop on buying a panini for lunch we were informed there was an additional change of £1 to heat it up with a total cost that would be £7.50, the price of a full meal elsewhere! Need to check for additional charges for extra car, pets etc. etc.

We have been staying here for 20 years . This year may be the last time though as the astronomical price rises for 2025 mean we have not booked for 2025 along with around 7 other families The facilities on site are adequate but can be very busy at peek timesThe views are wonderful Don’t really use the club house and swimming pool now kids have grown up so can’t review Happy memories but not worth £105 per night for a touring caravan in school holidays

Fantastic holiday, our 4 year old loved the pool and Woolly Bear. She has now discovered “disco” and the delights of bingo. A great campsite with great facilities. It will be a visit next year for us.
