We had a wonderful few days at Smytham Holiday Park. Spotless facilities, very helpful and friendly staff and perfectly situated to access the Tarka Trail cycle path. Swimming pool was a great bonus. Will definitely return!

This was our third year revisiting Smytham. Our request to be placed as near as possible to the disabled facilities was listened to by the lovely manager. The site is well maintained and the facilties were lovely and clean and second to none, with the added bonus of a free dishwasher.....bliss !!! The outdoor pool is also wonderful. We can't wait to visit again next year.

We found the site to be well organised with friendly and helpful staff. It is located in large pleasant grounds of the Manor House and is conveniently located next to the Tarka Trail cycle path with direct access from the site. The site facilities are very good and appear to have undergone refurbishment and rebuilding. The toilet and shower block appears to be new and is kept immaculately clean however we were staying at a quiet time so there was not a huge demand. I would imagine the experience might be different in the peak holiday season. The same with the outdoor swimming pool which is not large but is heated and very clean. We would certainly return, but as a retired couple, would avoid peak season when it is quieter.

We had a wonderful stay with family. The children enjoyed the park and the pool. It wasn’t too busy so lovely and relaxing and quiet. Great access to the tarka trail for bike rides to the cafe. Lovely shower and toilet block. Loved that each van pitch had a picnic table.

We booked 2 nights and ended up staying for 5 . Great campsite great facilities and great staff...

Very clean, easy accessible site. Always a member of staff around to help, will go above and beyond to give you a better stay.We opted for hardstanding, premium pitch, very well maintained if you have an awning take a heavy hammer for pegsFacilities were amazing, powerful showers. Very clean and well looked after.Po area clean nice heated pool for those colder days, did get busier at weekends.We extended by 1 night no problemBe aware travelling to the site its quite hilly! But fun.

Helpful staff on arrival. Good sized level pitch with electrics. Heated outdoor pool and seating area. Bathrooms and toilets were the best I’ve seen. Lots of areas to walk dogs. Would highly recommend staying at this lovely site.

Short cycle to tarka trail across site, beautiful ride to Instow along estuary great beach shops cafes.Get ferry across to appledore.westward ho not far and for garden lovers rhs rose more few miles from camp site will be back soon. Great facilities for kids pool superb.

We picked this campsite primarily for its proximity to The Tarka Trail and it didn't disappoint. The toilets and shower blocks were the most well kept and clean of any campsite we have visited. The outdoor swimming pool was a real bonus. It was lovely and warm, and not freezing cold as expected!

We chose this site because it is near Rosemoor RHS. A quick look in May confirmed its suitability with impressive facilities, so we booked a week for the end of June. Apart from visiting Rosemoor we wanted to explore the area and although we are elderly walked twice to and on the nearby Tarka Trail as well as visiting Clovelly and Ilfracombe. Nearby Torrington has a few cafes, pubs and grocery stores. Dartington Crystal factory is a must visit attraction and there is more to explore at Torrington, especially history, another time. The facilities for toilets, showers and dishwashing are excellent and absolutely clean. We didn't use the intriguing dishwasher [~5mins] but others with more dishes managed effectively. My wife enjoyed the swimming pool. Our pitch was fine for us but there are several other possibilities including the ensuite pitches and pods. The cost, a little higher than others we considered, reflected the high quality. Pics below; the woods, the pool and the tent.
