It's always clean and tidy, indoors and outside and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is our 3rd or 4th stay in 6 months. We stayed in Woodland Room 3 this time and apart from the shower not being as hot as I'd like it was a lovely weekend away as always. Have recommended Woodland Waters to several friends.

We absolutely loved our time at Woodlands Waters. We received a very warm welcome as we checked in. The lodge was beautiful, well designed, modern and warm, even though the temperature outside was freezing Pete went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you Pete!! We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

We visited for a New Year's break and have visited numerous times before.We were a group of 4 different pitches and from booking through to leaving the staff couldn't of been more friendly or helpful even at such a busy time for them. They even managed to sort us a last minute pitch cancellation so my Dad could join us.One of the facilities blocks was closed for refurbishment but the other one was still open, not overly busy to say how busy the site was and always exceptionally clean and well stocked.The site was pretty much at full capacity from what we could see which obviously meant full bins etc but these were emptied continuosly and the site was always spotless.We visited Woody's bar a few times during our stay, not for the New Year's Eve party as we decided to celebrate at our vans with having young children with us, and again it was always super busy but the service never faulted and the staff there were also super friendly even though clearly being tested.

We stayed the first couple of days of January 2026. The site was very picturesque and we had a great view of the lake. Although we had wonderful sunshine, the temperature dropped to -4 degrees and the forecast of snow meant we cut our stay short. However, the clean shower block was heated and there was plenty of hot water at the pot washing area. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch and did have an issue with a frozen water pipe. After calling the reception the warden arrived very quickly to help us and the issue was soon sorted. We spent our first afternoon in the on-site bar and restaurant “Woody’s”. There was a lot of outside seating and inside was very cozy with two log burners. The atmosphere was friendly and the food was really good. We will definitely stay again when the weather is better and we can make the most of the surroundings. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative comment is there were no hairdryers or power points in the shower block

Love it here. Only 7 miles from my house but when you wake up you could be absolutely anywhere.Amazing meals at the restaurant. All facilities are really good. Definitely going back.

Would definitely return a few things ned done lighting outside none also need to put a note behind sofas to say no dogs allowed on furniture because we were shouted at twice from someone behind the bar apart from that definitely will return

The site seamed ok , the staff seamed very informative and friendly , everything was looking good , until we started to notice a lot of the dogs we re not on leads, one dog a large boxer type ran towards us barking and started jumping up at us as we were with my son and his family, the dog was jumping up at us barking which was scary, it really upset my grandaughter (age 5), she became virtually hysterical , I struggled to keep the dog under any kind of restrain. The more we got into our stay as we had two visits to the site between Christmas and new year, the more we saw families with there dogs off leads, we reported it , and was told if the warden saw it they would be spoken to, we never saw anyone wandering around …. Apart from that and the low 10amp hook up, we couldn’t even use our low wattage kettle to make a drink without it tripping out,it was generally an ok ish site..

Would definitely book again. The site was clean and tidy, and overall it was nice and quiet for a family site, which made it really relaxing. There were some lovely walks around the ponds, and the bar and café were both good. The only small downside was the pool table in the bar could do with a bit of TLC, but it didn’t spoil our stay.

There was alot of confusion about pitches, someone had parked their caravan in the wrong place and we offered to move but they had also pitched in the wrong position. The pitch markers need to be clearer (the map was also confusing). Grass pitches are not great in this weather, especually if your in the middle. We did the NYE party. The DJ 's chice of music was very outdated and I am 55! Nit sure if we would do it again, there were 12 in our party and we all felt this. Would like to visit in the warmer months.
