We stayed in a six bedroom lodge which was lovely, the location overlooking the lake was fantastic and the lodge itself was spacious with a large open plan kitchen, dining room and living room. The lodge was clean and the beds were comfy. The bedrooms were a good size, great ensuite too in the double room, the main bathroom had a large shower and separate bath. We could park two cars outside too. We took our dog and it was so nice that the patio was enclosed and you had great walks round the lakes. Very good value for money.I have family nearby so know about the place but first time we’ve stayed and it won’t be our last stay. The staff in reception were friendly. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant but I would try it next time.

Stayed in one of the 3 bedroom lodges lake view. Was fantastic and highly recommended. Gas ran out when cooking but this was quickly sorted. Staff are great and I will be returning next year.

Having no hot water in the lodge for two days was not a good way to start the break away. The staff member we spoke with he was great really did everything he could to get it sorted quickly. We were given keys to another lodge to shower in but it wasn’t ideal. sorted on the Monday lovely chap that came very friendly. This then left unfortunately another issue the heating came on and even with thermostat turned down to 5. We had enough by this point and just turned all the radiators off we didn’t want any more disturbances. We reported the issue when we booked out. So the good things the fencing that has been put around the patio is great it allowed us to have the doors open and the dogs could go out without the worry of then deciding to take themselves off on their own walk and not having to have them on leads. One improvement on this would be to put on some sort of catch so when windy the gates don’t blow open which did happen on one of the day

Returned after 20 years, even better than last time. Nothing wrong last time have just been trying different places. Bigger than years ago but very accommodating with support and will be back(in much less than 20 years!!) Thanks for all the help and call about left items.

We try to visit Woodys at least once a year, for 4/5 days fishing. The play area looked good & the change to the restaurant opens up the bar area nicely.The only complaint we had, wasa couple of motor bike riders racing through, way in excess of the speed limits!An improvement to the road layout would be to enable to drive back through without having to exit & comee back in via the main entrance.This will not stop us coming again and again though.We'll see you soon.

I am disabled in a wheelchair and the accessibility is great. Showers are very clean and well maintained.New pathways put down since last year makes it even better.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Woody's bar is very cosy and they do great food.The only thing that would improve the site is more lighting. It is very dark when returning to caravan at night.

The oldest toilet block is in need of updating.

Would love a small lake or somewhere the dog could dip in, apart from that really great, clean and friendly campsite

This was our 4th visit to Woodland Waters, and we were disappointed with both the accommodation and the fishing.The fishing was extremely poor compared with our previous visits. The accommodation was also a let down compared to previous visits. Both showers were broken, the hot water whilst taking a bath was cool rather then hot and took an age to fill the bath. In view of this we decided to leave one day early.Fridge door was broken.No Egg cups supplied.Grill pan did not have a grill.Very disappointing in view of the cost of £850.00 for four nights.

We were return customers from a few years ago after a previous enjoyable stay, our return visit found lots of new rules and charges. Visitors can’t come down to the campsite with their car unless they pay £5 for an overnight visit, £5 to park onsite unless you go to the pub. Lovely investment in a new ANPR system and barriers but one of the oldest and smelliest disabled toilets I’ve seen, it had not been updated since our last visit years ago and it was bad then. It’s good to see the priorities are making money and not catering for disabled customers, I’ve never been anywhere that day guests couldn’t park near us, disabled friends had to walk a long way to visit us. We won’t be returning unfortunately.
