We arrived to a friendly greeting in reception. Checking in was easy & informative. Our pitch was on grass opposite the lake, such a lovely view. The weather was warm, so the dog loved a walk in the woods out of direct sunlight. The site is vast for a good walk around the lakes. Woodys Bar was air conditioned, lovely on a hot day, but we sat at a table outside with shade from a parasol. All staff were friendly and efficient. Hubby went fishing after his morning run and enjoyed a few hours of it. There is a lot of bird droppings as there are many geese, swans and other water wildlife. The grass wasn’t green due to the extreme heat over the past few weeks and there were lots of ants. However, we really can’t fault the site for that. We last visited 2022 so will not leave it so long for our next visit.Thank you Woodland Waters.

The site was well maintained and good size, pub on site was good, served food, good service and friendly staff, unfortunately our pitch was covered in Ants, we know this can’t be helped but it was annoying, any future stay we would pick a hard standing pitch. Good site for fishing and having a relaxing weekend. Jo in the Tackle shop was lovely ☺️

Safety was exellent and staff very polite and the best. The price was good. The site needs more recycling on-site, but rather than that, it was a perfect experience. I will come back.

The site is easy to find and the separate entrance and exit barriers are good The restaurant is too small for the number of pitches and being open to the public too makes it even smaller no signs within the restaurant to say no dogs on one side so we had sat down someone then came to tell us to move, the only space in the cramped dog friendly side was a low sofa with 2 footstools and an incredibly low table, very uncomfortable to eat at Noisy, unruly dogs barking constantly despite the signs saying they will be asked to leave We were told 'the rule' about needing to park with the awning to the left which was a bit disappointing as we have camped before with our awnings together and then saw a number of units ignoring this to face the wrong way or even horizontal in their pitch so what was the point of the rule Day ticket and tackle shop overpriced compared to other places Overall pitch expensive for what is available onsiteNeeds a clean with excessive geese poo everywhere

We had a 4 night/5day stay in a lakeside lodge, a Ruby Wedding Anniversary treat. (22-26th June)We are local as my husband enjoys the fishing, while I enjoy relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet, and reading. We decided to treat ourselves to a lakeside lodge due to its proximity to the lakes and my husband's mobilty.(we've stayed before but in a campervan) and also in the woodland lodge with hot tub.We were very impressed with the lakeside lodge and its size, cleanliness and value for money, particularly if you made good use of its 6 berth status. We were just two.The lakes, woods and overall site is picturesque, peaceful and relaxing for walking, fishing and generally relaxing.We ate at Woodies Bar & Restaurant, which has a varied menu, good bar and opens from lunch time onwards. Food on the menu a bit expensive. Overall good stay but wish we could have accessed the fishing at our lodge lake, due to mobilty, sadly taken up all week by adjacent lodge! Overall enjoyed the

There was a festival on which was not catered for. My daughter booked us a table a few weeks before hand our holiday for a meal after travelling from Cheshire we didn't feel like cooking. We sat at the table only to be told they had stopped serving . Great no tea ! Luckily for us they were still serving pizza round the corner. Also ladies toilets ran out of toilet paper not ideal. Hard standing pitches over grown with weedsWill not be returning.

Camping was very busy obviously a well advertised event. Nothing about in on website day before arrival which is when we booked. We’re told on check in about the festival, went and pitched up anyway. The ‘stage’ was playing loud music via the PA. Then a band came on. Defo wasn’t going to be a quiet so booked elsewhere.Called the office to see about a refund, woman was very defensive and dismissive, no empathy, apology or refund.Poor

Absolutely 1st class site ,facilities & staff. Last minute trip & by chance excellent music festival on. Will be making this a regular trip. First class carvery on Sunday to finish a great weekend
