Excellent site within easy walking distance to Wells and longer Mendips walks directly from site. Site facilities are of a high standard and very clean and the grounds are immaculate.The bar is lovely and the lady who covers reception and the bar needs a special mention as she was so friendly and helpful.Highly recommend.

Easy and friendly check-in. Nice large pitch with a wonderful view. Adult only and very peaceful. Toilet black immaculate. Nice walk into Wells and great pubs within walking distance at Wookey too.

Well sited for easy walking or a quick 6 minute bus ride into the city of wells. Easy to get to, facilities are of a good stand cleaned regularly. Appreciate it’s an Adult only site, but well worth a visit if your touring Wells or Cheddar. They have a club house and Pizza wagon although we didn’t use this time. Our second visit in less than 10 months, will definitely return and would recommend

Absolutely one of the best ( if not the best!) campsites I have ever stayed on! Immaculately clean, well tended gardens, peaceful and beautiful surroundings, 1.4 miles into Wells itself an easy walk. The bar was fab! We cannot wait to return!

We travel all over and there are not many sites we go to where we wish we had booked for longer. We were only there for two nights and it was not enough to enjoy all the area had to offer.Wells is a beautiful city and only a 25 minute walk away or a short bus ride from outside the camp gates. You can also get a bus the other way to Cheddar. Everyone at the campsite was so welcoming and friendly. The bar area onsite was lovely, they also make there own Spirits onsite so we of course had to have an bottle to take home it however only open until 8pm which is late enough for most people, it may be later at weekends.They also serve food. We were there on pizza night and it was very tasty. There is a dog wash and a small fenced in area for relief. The facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean, there are also two rotary air dryers on grassed area if you get the weather. The only negative is the push button showers, the time they stayed in was way to short.

We stayed last year & enjoyed it so much we booked again for this year..We hope to go again next year & if we lived closer it would certainly be a regular favourite. We're in our late 70s but manage the walk into Wells easily but usually get the bus or taxi back! The bus stop is right outside with buses to Glastonbury, Street , Weston-super-Mare . The club house bar is a nice way to meet fellow campers & there is always a good cup of coffee available. If you prefer. Big bonus for us is very dog friendly & adult only.

It’s a shame the bus service isn’t more regular to get into Wells. Campsite - would prefer on/off taps rather than 30 seconds of water!Friendly people running the site although we prefer Old Oaks.Lovely location for those wishing to visit Wells.
