Don’t get me wrong, the location is wonderful, reception was excellent and helpful and our pitch was ok. A bit muddy but the weather has been aweful so that was to be expected. However, massive potholes in the road through the site, and freezing cold damp toilets and showers. They were clean but just so old. At least there was hot water. The site desperately needs some money spent on it so it can be what it should be. I feel that it’s much more focussed on the static caravans than tourers. But that is just my opinion. The staff I met were amazing. Helpful, communicative and well informed and they clearly take pride in their jobs.
Everyone was very helpful and a very pleasant site to stay on
I don't always write reviews but this accommodation I felt it was needed as I saw some negative reviews but our stay was extremely positive we stayed in one of the huts was very clean and the staff will very polite and helpful as we turned up late and they were still very accommodating and understanding there was some negative reviews about potholes and mud it is a very wet area so this is to be expected. all part of the fun camping if you ask me would definitely recommend staying here for the location alone as its five minutes to Wells and five minutes the other way to Cheddar.
We had a very nice warm welcome when we arrived, and were shown to our pitch.Every person working on this site was very pleasant and helpful, and my goodness they work hard, and long hours to keep the site looking nice. We stayed near the end of November, which is lovely for us, but hard work for those looking after the site, as they kept the grounds very clear of leaves etc, (almost a full time job!).We really enjoyed our stay, and will definately return. Many thanks to Garry & Sally for all the info they gave us.
Bucklegrove was everything we could have asked for. Clean comfortably and warm holiday home. Staff very helpful and friendly.
It was our first time staying at bucklegrove., and I can 100% day we will be returning 😁The caravans where lovely spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything you needed and more.Bucklegrove is an amazing place to stay with friends & family.. And is central to most towns and cities for a lovely day out.
made to feel welcome, staff very helpful when needed. hope to return very soon.
From the time we checked in at reception, to the time we left. The staff on this site were helpful, kind and informative. The facilities are clean and warm.My 2 grandsons loved the pool and woodland walk.(There are some surprises in them woods. Lol. )Hope to visit again soon.
I have stayed there with my family over the past few years and in different holiday homes around the site . All the homes are clean , comfortable and well equipped . Staff are always friendly and helpful and very welcoming . Site is kept clean and tidy . The views from Bucklegrove are second to none and there are lots of tourist attractions in a fairly close proximity . The bar and grill do a very reasonable menu and there are several pubs serving good food locally . From personal experience , the best time to visit is late spring at the start of the strawberry season - local strawberries are head and shoulders above any others , but don't just take my word for it . Go and try for yourselves , you won't be disappointed .
