Recognised with a host of accolades and awards, Trevalgan is a five-star camping and touring park set just two miles from the picturesque town of St Ives, the jewel of Cornwall’s crown. Enveloped by open farmland and adorned with gorse and heather-covered hills, the park boasts stunning coastal and countryside views, providing an idyllic escape for those seeking a harmonious blend of nature, sustainability, and luxury.
At the heart of Trevalgan's commitment is sustainability, evident in every aspect of their operations. The park, which the owners lovingly call home, serves as more than just a camping destination; it's a space carefully crafted to share the beauty of its surroundings with visitors. This commitment aligns with their efforts to minimise environmental impact and contribute to the preservation of the surrounding natural wonders.
The park's facilities reflect a dedication to comfort and convenience. The toilets and showers, equipped with underfloor heating, hairdryers, and multiple charging points, offer a touch of luxury. Unisex/family rooms provide adjustable temperature and water pressure, catering to the needs of both adults and children. A thoughtful addition includes half-size baths for little ones to rinse off sandy toes, complete with shower hoses. The provision of a fully equipped accessible shower room emphasizes inclusivity.
Trevalgan understands the dynamics of family life, evident in the meticulously planned outdoor children's play area. From a bespoke pirate ship to a net climbing pyramid and Viking swing, the equipment caters to various age and ability groups. The sports area encourages ball games and kite flying, while the Games Room offers entertainment for older children with table tennis, pool, and table football.
The on-site shop complements the camping experience, stocking a variety of local produce, camping supplies, and everyday groceries. Freshly baked baguettes and pastries, along with a selection of hot beverages, add a delightful touch to mornings. (Please note that we do not stock any alcohol/tobacco products or newspapers).
A unique feature of Trevalgan is its accessibility to St Ives through a direct, regular bus service right at the campsite entrance. This hassle-free transportation option accommodates wheelchairs, pushchairs, dogs, and surfboards, facilitating easy exploration of the nearby renowned tourist destination.
St Ives stands as a cultural and recreational hub. The world-class golden beaches and turquoise seas attract families year after year. The cobbled streets house art galleries, unique shops, and restaurants serving locally sourced produce. Visitors can savour Cornish cream teas or artisan ice cream while absorbing the charm of the harbour-front cafes. St Ives becomes not just a destination but a continuation of the Trevalgan experience, where nature, culture, and relaxation converge seamlessly.

All reviews featured on Campstead.com have been submitted by genuine customers who have stayed at the park.
The facilities at the site are excellent, especially the cleanliness of the shower block and maintenance of the grounds. The staff are always very helpful and chatty. The provision of the site bus is a big plus. One small negative is that WiFi is not included, as it now seems a common inclusion on other sites.Beyond control of the site is the axing of the bus service between St Ives and St Just which makes access to the coast path difficult for those not wishing to drive.Oh and the sunsets can be terrific!
Hello ChrisThank you for your lovely review and we are pleased you enjoyed our facilities and sunsets! We are currently looking into our WiFi provision for next year and hope to be able to include this in the price of your stay.We are also disappointed by the lack of coaster bus - it was extremely popular and is being missed by many of our guests (but as you say, this is out of our control). We hope to welcome you again soon,Annette
This is our 3rd time staying at Trevalgan, and it didn’t disappoint! An abundance of flowers and well cared for pitches, with immaculate facilities which are kept spotless at all times. The staff are friendly and helpful and the regular bus into St Ives from the site is a real bonus. There is also a walk along the coast path into St Ives directly from the site which is fabulous. We really love the location, and also find it good for exploring other parts of Cornwall. We will definitely be back!
Hello PaulThank you for your lovely review and we are so pleased you had another wonderful stay!We are fortunate to be situated in such a beautiful location and it is great to read that you find it well situated for exploring further afield. We look forward to your next stay,Annette
Lovely site every need catered for. Spotless toilets and showers. Pitches a good size gardens shrubs and flowers around site are lovely. Going into St Ives was easy as the site has its own bus that runs every hour. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good stock of essentials in the shop. The play area was brilliant. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Hello KarenThank you for your review. It is lovely to review that you felt well catered for during your stay. Our staff very work to maintain our facilities to a very high standard and it is lovely to read that you found our shop to be well stocked. We are thrilled by your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon,Annette

Hello AnneThank you for your review and recommendation! We are pleased everything met with your expectations and very much hope to welcome you again soon,Annette
Spent two nights at Trevalgan, 2nd visit to this campsite.Very friendly welcoming staff. Excellent facilities, very clean and modern showers toilets etc.Regular daily bus into St Ives from campsite.Nice relaxing environment.
Hello JoanneThank you for your five star review. We are thrilled you found our staff welcoming, our facilities to be clean and modern and your overall experience to be relaxing. We hope to welcome you back for a third time!Annette
We had hoped to arrive before 6p.m but got delayed. Phoned ahead to let them know, but upon arrival about 6.20p.m was amazed by the quite unfriendly reception. All seemed a bit of an inconvenience. The reception was closed and the shop. Which by the way is unlicensed. Considering there is not a shop for miles they should be better equipped. The general showers in both men and women's block are on a timer switch which means you have to keep pushing the button every few minutes, not luxury in my book! Overall a very well kept sight, beautifully maintained.
Hello RoyThank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay.We are pleased you found the site to be well maintained. However, we are disappointed that you found the check-in process to be unfriendly and apologise that this was not up to our usual high standards on this occasion. We inevitably get arrivals after the reception has closed on a very regular basis, and are always happy to check-in guests up to 8pm.We are also happy for late check-ins to purchase items from the shop before settling on their pitch for the evening (although, as your rightly state, we are not a licensed premises). The closest shop (Co-op) is approx. 1.5 miles away at the top of The Stennack in St Ives and is open until late each evening. Our push button showers are for water saving purposes as we are on a borehole water supply. The unisex/family rooms, accessed from outside of the shower block building, have temperature control and can also be used with continuous running water so maybe more suitable for your needs. We hope that you choose to stay with us again and allow us the opportunity to achieve five stars on your next review.RegardsAnnette
Trevalgen is without doubt the best campsite we have ever used. The facilities are perfect, spotlessly clean and contemporary. The staff are always helpful and supportive. Booking is easy through the excellent website and direct communications. The bus service to and from St Ives itself is easy and well priced, running hourly in both directions. This place is exceptional and highly recommended.
Dear PaddyWhat a lovely review!Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at Trevalgan and it is great to read that you had such a positive experience, from booking via our website and throughout your stay.We would love to welcome you again in the future,Annette
My partner and I stayed for three nights, booking a fully serviced pitch and staying in a tent. Check in was swift with the team providing a great introduction brief and tips. The services were immaculately clean and plentiful. The pitches were exactly what you would want being looked after by the ground maintenance team. The location is great for everything you would want to do in Cornwall from beaches to walking and site seeing. A great few days and we would absolutely return.
