A caravan and camping site near Lincoln, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park & Sundown Adventureland. All just a short drive away from our idyllic camp site.

Camping here is an ideal base to visit the local area, Lincoln Cathedral is clearly visible from the site, and we are quite lucky the Red Arrows often practice over the farm. There are many attractions in the area, such as Sherwood Forest visitor centre, the beautiful Clumber Park, Doddington Hall and a little further away such as Nottingham & Creswell Crags.

Trentfield Farm accepts, tents, caravans, motorhome’s and VW campers. We have electrical hook up for those who require it, and 4 way pitches if you wish to camp with your friends in a group. We welcome BBQ’s but campfires & fire pits are not permitted.

The Park has flat level grass pitches, optional electrical hook ups, a modern amenity block as well as non communal family wash rooms, a recycling facility, and a large washing up area as well as a washing machine and tumble drier. We don’t have a shop on the park, but do have a vending machine for milk etc. We are also dog friendly.

Need electric for charging those gadgets? You don’t need to worry, we charge phones, ipads, laptops etc free of charge in the office.

Within a walk from the park are two pubs, the Ferry Boat Inn a 10 minute stroll down the tow path, and in the main village The Bee’s Knees, serving award winning ales. (It’s also famed for its gin library), both serving great food. We also have a nearby shop a short drive away, as well as a number of local take away’s that deliver to site.

The park is particularly attractive to those who enjoy walking and cycling, with miles of quiet roads, tracks and footpaths.

So if you are looking for an ideal base for camping or caravan site near Lincoln, Clumber Park or Sherwood forest, you are in the right place.

Lovely site in a lovely setting

Mattrick, Jenny - 04/10/2024

Our first visit to this lovely site. Really good, clean facilities and friendly helpful wardens. Set alongside the river Trent with great views. A nice leisurely stroll takes you into the lovely village of Church Laneham and the Ferry Boat pub, good food and a nice atmosphere. A longer walk takes you into the village of Laneham and the quirky Bees Knees pub. Would definitely recommend this site.

The site is in a very good location for exploring the surrounding area and was easy to find. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful having plenty of time for there guests. The site was well maintained and clean as was the toilet and wash facilities. The walk or cycle tracks around the site location were amazing, as a keen photographer it was perfect for my hobby plenty of photographs to take. We would definitely recommend this site for your stay we were in a tent and loved it. Thanks to you all at Trentfield Farm for looking after us.

Great stay

Carr, Kate - 25/09/2024

Stayed for three nights so hubby could go fishing. Received a warm welcome and was shown our pitch. It was mid week so was very quiet which we like. Facilities very clean and wardens helpful with things like local walks etc. it’s a pretty site with lovely flowers and hanging baskets. For us it was perfect as we walked in the mornings, stopped for a lovely lunch every day at the cafe nearby which was very tasty and then hubby went to fish late afternoon until about 8pm.The only downside for us was on Friday lots of families with kids arrived so the atmosphere changed and it suddenly got very “busy” but that’s just purely personal preferences. We love kids but like peace when we are away. All in all a lovely site and we will return mid week

Lovely Setting

Friendly and helpful staff met us at reception and showed us to our pitch. The pitches are a generous size with EHU and water supply. The field was huge and well kept. A short walk on a private path by reception took you to the banks of the River Trent where there is also a picnic area. The area around reception and the utility area is very pretty with lots of planters in full bloom. The utilities are spotlessly clean with hot showers included. There are also a couple of family bathrooms which my husband was able to use to shower (he has limited mobility). I was able to go in and assist him which was good. The site was very quiet at night. We didn’t venture far from the site as we just wanted to chill out on our way home from a trip to Norfolk. So glad we stayed and we’ll definitely be back for a longer stay to explore both Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.By the way we loved the cooling towers at the nearby power station. Proved to be a great landmark. The local area was lovely

Great last minute stay!

Fogg, Kerry - 18/09/2024

We did a last minute stay here and loved it. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The amenities were brilliant, very clean and attended for. We couldn’t get in either of the two local pubs and ended up having a pub meal with our dog at the Eyre Arms. The food was excellent and well priced too.
