Excellent all round, great staff and booking, very clean and well built site.Only criticism is that there was no hot water in amenities and showers. This was at 7pm and there was no indication as to if that was the way it was or a site rule.Still looking forward to using the site in 2026 though.
Facilities spotlessly clean & warm. The only thing I would say is lack of lighting on the walk from the clubhouse to the campsite. There are quite a few large potholes and speed bumps walking back.
We stayed for a weekend in December and the caravan was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Caravan is clean and has everything you need. Nice quiet site but with a great cafe / bar which was so friendly and Sunday lunch was lovely too! The hot tub was a great addition and tucked away at the side so you aren’t overlooked which we loved. It stayed hot all weekend no issues at all with it. Would defo stay again
Been here several times . Great place to relax and do some fishing.Close enough to Retford town centre to walk in , do some shopping and have a few drinks.
The weekend we stayed on Hallcroft it rained both days, so we didn't walk the dogs far, The pitch was very wet and muddy where our step was to enter the Motorhome, So maybe wider hardstanding pitches, We went to the cafe on site Friday and Saturday evening, we met lovely people and the food was lovely, just basket food like burger and chips or hotdog and chips , the staff very friendly, and the lady in reception was lovely, overall we had a really nice weekend apart from the British weather, we will return
Loved the stay, beautiful surroundings, next to the Idle Valley Nature reserve and easy walk into town
on our visit we found the park exceptable but,1 The pitches where to close together 2 There was no sercurity and people could get on site from all angles, ie public foot paths open to the top of the touring field.3 No lighting throughout the site at night4 The toilet and shower blocks could be cleaned more5 The staff where friendly6 no emergency contact number for onsite problems ie electricity trips7 The price was exceptable
We love hallcroft it friendly clean and as a great cafe , fishing tackle shop. Always feel safe here .
Beautiful site and lovely walks, walk into town where there are lots of shops, staff very friendly. Toilets and showers clean
I stayed in the Holiday Rental in May and decided on a return visit whilst we still have daylight in the evenings. Accommodation remains excellent. On site cafeteria and tackle shop are very handy. Nice relaxing stay with the accent on fishing.
