Hallcroft Fishery & Caravan Park is home to an incredible 70 acres of countryside, giving you plenty of space to pitch up and relax.
There are 37 lake side touring pitches with electric hook ups set in 70 acres of countryside, bordered by the picturesque River Idle. Situated adjacent to the Idle Valley Nature Reserve there is plenty of opportunity walking or biking.
There are many facilities on site which help to make the overall experience of visiting Hallcroft more pleasurable. We have 2 amenity buildings, providing quality toilet and shower facilities.
On site there is the Kingfisher Cafe & Bar which is licenced to serve alcoholic drinks. The Kingfisher serves a full range of English cooked breakfasts, tea, coffee and toast in the mornings before you start fishing. Hot snacks are available some lunch times and evening meals for after fishing. The bar is licenced to serve alcoholic beverages during standard pub hours, and there is a pool table and dart board for entertainment.
Widely acclaimed as one of the UK's leading mixed coarse fisheries! With a nice variety of species in the 7 lakes and river, Hallcroft offers pleasure, match and specimen anglers the choice and freedom to find the angling experience they are looking for.
The Hallcroft Tackle shop, which is open 7 days a week, is fully stocked with all the latest tackle and fresh bait.
Shop opening times:

Hallcroft is situated on the outskirts of the old Market Town of Retford which is located close to Sherwood Forest in the county of Nottinghamshire, the home of Robin Hood. There are many attractions to visit within a comfortable driving distance and apart from the fishing on site there are golf courses a short drive away.
Surrounded by Nature, Hallcroft sits adjacent to the Idle Valley Nature Reserve which offers the chance for walking (Inc. Dogs), Cycling or Bird and wildfowl watching. The River Idle which runs along the eastern boarder is popular with canoeists or kayakers. This is our 6th r 7th visit to Hallcroft. The pitches are huge and the site is clean and well kept
Nice grounds and location but the shower block needs upgrading. The floors quickly get dirty and some of the lights were out of order. The water stops flowing if anyone is using the pot washing taps as well. My other concern is that there appear to be no regard to the distances between pitches as there were tents pitched right next to motorhomes with literally inches between them. Most other sites insist on 6m between pitches.Other than that, it is a nice setting and good value.
We had a fab weekend with family and friends lovely chilled place
We were very disappointed with our pitch. We booked a tent pitch with electricity, but there was almost no space available. Our tent was squeezed between two caravans, leaving only about 2 metres on each side. We barely managed to fit the tent, and there wasn’t enough room for our chairs and a small table. This was far from what we expected and made our stay much less enjoyable.
The venue is great if you like fishing. Also close to Retford and a nice rural location. The cafe/bar is a great value for money.Toilet and showers are very clean. Not much in terms of facilities for children. We stayed on a hard standing pitch. Currently quite a bit of work going on and hence a bit of noise and dust but sure that will be completed at some point.Very quiet at night and slept very well.
Very clean facilities. Lovely breakfast in cafe but would be nice to see the opening times advertised and full menu available. Good value for money. Nice chip shop just up the road and local co op. The only downside I can see is that people not camping can cut through passed the grass pitches, making it feel a little insecure when the rest of the site is secured with electric gates evening to early morning.
Lovely site friendly people don't feel like you're being watched dog friendly and a nice walk into Retford. Toilet blocks were good to.
Lovely place very relaxing great walks great fish will return
Toilets and showers busy, had to wait every time, longest wait was 20 minutes on Sunday morning
