A caravan and camping site near Lincoln, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park & Sundown Adventureland. All just a short drive away from our idyllic camp site.

Camping here is an ideal base to visit the local area, Lincoln Cathedral is clearly visible from the site, and we are quite lucky the Red Arrows often practice over the farm. There are many attractions in the area, such as Sherwood Forest visitor centre, the beautiful Clumber Park, Doddington Hall and a little further away such as Nottingham & Creswell Crags.

Trentfield Farm accepts, tents, caravans, motorhome’s and VW campers. We have electrical hook up for those who require it, and 4 way pitches if you wish to camp with your friends in a group. We welcome BBQ’s but campfires & fire pits are not permitted.

The Park has flat level grass pitches, optional electrical hook ups, a modern amenity block as well as non communal family wash rooms, a recycling facility, and a large washing up area as well as a washing machine and tumble drier. We don’t have a shop on the park, but do have a vending machine for milk etc. We are also dog friendly.

Need electric for charging those gadgets? You don’t need to worry, we charge phones, ipads, laptops etc free of charge in the office.

Within a walk from the park are two pubs, the Ferry Boat Inn a 10 minute stroll down the tow path, and in the main village The Bee’s Knees, serving award winning ales. (It’s also famed for its gin library), both serving great food. We also have a nearby shop a short drive away, as well as a number of local take away’s that deliver to site.

The park is particularly attractive to those who enjoy walking and cycling, with miles of quiet roads, tracks and footpaths.

So if you are looking for an ideal base for camping or caravan site near Lincoln, Clumber Park or Sherwood forest, you are in the right place.

We stayed at trentfield Farm for 2 nights. The staff were extremely welcoming. The facilities were clean, showers warm. Plenty of washing up space. Loads of space for my little boy to run around. We will be back in the summer.

Could have been so much better

We booked as part of a group with 3 other families and had a great space on the field. Unfortunately we had to pitch our caravans and tent all in the same direction which meant we were all facing away from each other. We weren't offered any explanation as to why tjis was the case only that we all had to point in the same direction. The other issue was the grass which had been recently cut. It wasn't collected and left on the site meaning shoes were covered and it was walked into tents and caravans. The grass was also cut whilst we were there on the bank holiday monday, so had a few hours of loud mowing on what should have been a relaxing weekend.

We came as four families 19 altogether with children ranging from 12yrs to 17yrs. The kids loved there was room for Rounders and Football. We booked into GoApe at Sherwood Pines which was about 30 mins away. Walked along the Trent which was picturesque. We visited the Ferryboat Inn and The Bees Knees. Both friendly pubs. Also had breakfast at the Country Kitchen on our last day which was lovely. It would have been nice if our group could have pitched our combination of tents and caravans so that our entrances were facing one another but for some reason we were not allowed. Also although we had apologies there was wet cut grass all over the field. I know it had been wet but I would have thought it could have been attempted to be collected. Our tent was absolutely covered in grass including clothes, sleeping bags etc. it has caused a lot of cleaning up to do on our return home. Overall a lovely campsite though and would return.

Calm & peaceful

We have stayed here quite a few times because of the peace & quiet. It’s so easy to switch off here. There’s a lovely dog walk & it’s close to two pubs which serve excellent food. The trouble is when they cut the grass it is left on the field & gets everywhere especially when it’s raining as it was on our last visit and they ask you to get the grass off your shoes when visiting the toilets which is virtually impossible. When we got home we found grass everywhere in the van and even in the bed.

Big tent, campervan and caravan field with great facilities.

Johnson, Dave - 29/05/2024

We stayed for a weekend and luckily the weather stayed dry and warm. We were able to pick the pitch for our tent and cars when booking, which is a real bonus. There was one other tent set up on the other side of the field when we arrived. The pitch was wide and spacious and there was certainly enough room for our 4 person tunnel tent and two cars parked either side.On site shower and wash-up facilities are large, kept clean and well thought-out. The showers have the push type controls which is a minor gripe as they never stay 'on' for very long but we understand why they are fitted. There are plenty of walks from the site to villages and along the River Trent. The nearest pub serving meals is approximately 0.6 miles away.

Well once again another fabulous stay at Trentfield Farm meeting new staff a great bonus. All so friendly and helpful. Site again so clean and tidy facilities great too. Loved it so much we invited family members and they booked in for our second night and we could not have asked for better weather too for the grandkids to play on the field. Local pub an absolute treasure and fantastic walks from the site with our dogs. Will certainly be back.
