Tregroes caters for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes with roughly 30 pitches available and communal facilities which include toilets, showers, a washing up area, charging facilities and a chemical disposal point.
Here at Tregroes Touring and Camping Site, we also offer glamping for those who fancy a more luxurious camping experience.
You can enjoy a spacious geodome or cosy Glamping pod. All are fully equipped with everything you will need.
Guests are welcome to light up the barbie after a long days sight seeing, however if you fancy a night off, the on-site restaurant offers great home made food to eat in or takeaway - Tregroes was voted one of the “ best foody” campsites in the UK by The Times.
Dogs are more than welcome here at Tregroes and are sure to love the bountiful walking opportunities that surround the campsite including the 186 mile stretch of the coastal path, where guests are advised to keep their eyes open for the dolphins, seals and seabirds which can be seen along the way. Cycling, hiking, fishing, horse riding and golfing are all available in the nearby areas too as well as a variety of water sports activities including surfing, sailing, kayaking and diving!
If you're a history fan, you've definitely come to the right place! There are an abundance of beautiful historic sites and castles in this part of Wales including the 12th century abbey in the coastal town of St Dogmaels and the Pen-Rhiw burial chambers at Goodwick. The Garn Wen burial chamber in Fishguard, the cathedral at St Davids and the stone circles of the Preseli Hills are also well worth a look!

I mentioned I would be arriving late at about 11:30 pm so had to phone the site manager for directions and that was difficult as the site was in darkness. Also had a problem turning the electricity on so needed to phone again for clarification. The following morning I woke to the sounds of bird song and checked the toilets and showers. All very clean with lovely hot water so was very impressed with that.Overall a good site and now I am familiar with the geography of it I won't hesitate to return in future.
During our 3 night stay we didn't see or meet any staff. Arrival was ok with pitch details pinned to reception wall. Bathrooms very good with excellent showers, could have been improved with a little heat. Hardstanding pitches and access roads a little narrow making it difficult to avoid grass. Peaceful site. About 25 mins walk into Fishguard.
Arrivals after the reception closed, we paid on the website. Then we called the number indicated and a gentleman told us the location. Very nice place well located near the ferry, clean, peaceful, welcoming.
Hi. I only stayed one night but the staff were lovely and allowing me to check in early saved my day. Will definitely return to be able to make the most of thelovely sight.
Good starting point if walking anti-clockwise. Clean well-run site and friendly owner (who came out to check I was OK as had late arrival fm train)> Showers included in price and well-drained so open when other places were shut.
Booked into Tregroes campsite as a base to explore Fishguard. What a lovely site it is. Well positioned and only a 20 minute walk into Fishguard. There are hardstanding and grass pitches. My hardstanding pitch was a little too narrow to be perfect and meant stepping out onto very soggy grass which wasn't ideal. There is a good bar/cafe/restaurant on site which is a great asset with occasional live music. The facilities were good with some lovely rainfall showers, although you have to get in there quite early to guarantee a hot shower. I made that mistake one morning and it was stone cold, and on other days I heard people saying the shower was cold. It's not a problem if you're an early riser like me and get in before others are up. It's something the owners should look at though, as in busy times this could be a concern. There are also some lovely friendly Alpacas on site to say hello to.All in all I loved this site and will definitely return. Thank you Tregroes.
We just had one night at the camp site, but found it clean and well organised. We walked into Fishguard and ate in a restaurant at a hotel there which was lovely. We will stay again when we take our motor home on the ferry to Ireland
Fabulous & friendly site.perfect for our first outing & the food’s very good too!
Nice site close to town, amenities good, my only gripe is the cost in Winter, nothing was open during our stay ie cafe and the price was still £30pn.
We stayed here in October so it was out of season with very few others on the site. Despite the lack of people this still site had a good vibe about it. We were in our Motorhome on a hardstanding pitch in the bottom field. The toilets were clean and the showers were fantastic - probably the best on any campsite I have ever been to. We didn’t visit the restaurant onsite but it did look inviting. It was a 20 minute walk (if that) into Fishguard with a handy Co-op for provisions. We walked down to Lower Fishguard which was lovely and a walk up the hill is only for the fit! If I was to visit this area again, I would definitely return.
Thankyou for your review - we are so pleased that you appreciated the new showers.
