Rhosson Ganol caravan and camping site is run by David Griffiths and his wife Kate and David's father Henry. David and Kate have three children, Elin, Lili and Ioan.

The Griffiths family have farmed Rhosson Ganol since 1882 when David's Great Grandfather John Griffiths took on the tenancy at the age of 24 after working on Ramsey Island. David's Grand Parents Ivor and Ivy Griffiths bought the two farms Rhosson Isaf and Rhosson Ganol in 1936/1948 and opened up a field for camping in 1951.

David's Father Henry got planning permission for the static caravan site in 1961. Rhosson Ganol is a working farm and has a suckler beef herd of Limousin and Hereford cattle.

We have 40 grass pitches for touring caravans, camper vans and tents.

We have 20 electric hookups (10 amp) which require early booking to avoid disappointment. These pitches also include your own drinking water supply (two night minimum stay on these pitches).

We have free wifi, and a chemical disposal point on site.

We are open from Easter to October half term.

A superb location for caravan holidays in Pembrokeshire

We are a small, quiet, family oriented site, so we don't take bookings from large youth groups. We also ask for your arrival before 8pm. We don't allow camp fires but are happy with BBQ's. We are a dog friendly campsite in Pembrokeshire, but require dogs to be under control at all times.

Electricity

Ng, Katy - 06/08/2026

We stayed at Rhosson Ganol as 4 families, each booking a separate electrical pitch. My booking was fine, but my friend couldn't book next to mine, so I ended up on a separate pitch. We called and emailed several times to sort this out but got no response.Eventually we were regrouped, but instead of 4 pitches together (what we paid for), we were fitted into 3 pitches. This meant 2 tents shared one electrical point, and the power was weak — we couldn't use an electric hob and boil water/use a hair dryer at once. This overloaded the supply and the fuse blew on night 2, leaving those tents without electricity for the rest of the night. We got a £25 refund for the electrical fault, but this doesn't address paying for 4 pitches and only getting 3.On the plus side, the site was clean and staff responded quickly when we raised issues.Feedback: with this many pitches, only 2 showers for women, 2 for men, and 1 accessible shower felt insufficient at busy times.

spectacular views - unspoilt, quiet

A simple campsite where its - location, location, location. Amazing views, a short walk from cliff top walk and overlooking Ramsay Island. Shower/toilet block and washing up area are immaculate and lovely but be aware from some pitches are a bit of a walk. Owner super friendly, operating a coffee van open each morning for freshly baked croissants and a coffee if wanted. Self check in. Pitches spacious and well laid out. About 40 mins walk to St Davids to nearest grocery shop but there is a bus running a limited service from St Justinians into town and back if needed. Highly recommend if you want a quiet site away from the madding crowd. We loved it.

Beautiful views, friendly well situated sire

Gunnell, Yanni - 04/08/2026

Lovely campsite with easy access to coastal paths and beaches, as well as St David’s. Worth asking for a sea view as the sunsets and moonrise were really spectacular. There aren’t lots of showers but they were clean and hot water seemed unlimited. The farmer makes great coffee in the morning! Other than that there isn’t a shop so good to stock up before you get there. The wildlife was really amazing, pods of dolphins and seals, stone chats and swooping swallows. We really enjoyed our stay!

Spectacular views. Family friendly site, very peaceful.

Excellent location. Easy walk to beaches and other nearby campsite. Bathroom facilites were very clean. Had to cross a fairly busy road used by those going to beach car park to get to it, but with older children, this wasnt too much of an issue for us. Theres a pizza van on site but was only open on Saturdays. The owners directed us to the next campsite which had pizza van each night. There's a regular bus service into St Davids if venturing out for food. This perhaps needs to better advertised. I wasnt aware of this and would have been useful to know beforehand. Having said that, the owners were contactable easily and responded immediately on contact and were friendly. Would definately recommend this campsite to anyone looking in the area. Having looked at the others around, it is by far the beat choice. Pitches are large and well spaced out. No hardstanding pitches seen but pitch was even and flat that we had. We had a large motorhome and access was fine.

Basic site

Robinson, Lesley - 02/08/2026

It was a basic site with toilets quite a walk away on the other side of the road so not my favourite place. Took a while to get to the correct site as not signposted very well and quite difficult to read the pitch allocation through dirty plastic noticeboard. But great view of the sunset

Great site overlooking Ramsey Sound. Peaceful and good access to St Davids. Nice mix of international and UK visitors.Need ramps as slightly sloping field. Toilets were cleaned daily but did need a mid-season deep clean (floors, beams etc).

Our Favourite Campsite Ever

Brooks, Tom - 23/07/2026

We’ve been coming to Rhoson Ganol Campsite for years and years, the modernisation over recent years is excellent (although I miss watching the sun set through the shower window!!) there is no better campsite in my opinion. The approach is relaxed, the views are extraordinary and the area is wonderful… I’ve never grown tired of it in 40 years. The site is ideally located with whitesands and St David’s a short cycle away, coast path on your doorstep and lovely little beaches in walking distance. This is a simple campsite but a wonderful one.

July stay

Williams, Emyr - 23/07/2026

Nice location and remote from the overcooked and overfull towns of St Davids and Solva. Bonus to have the local bus running every 30 mins passing the main gate to campsite. Drive in was rough and rocky and great care needed to avoid damaging undercarriage of van. Great for walks and nature. Shower block and toilets a long way from field but this is stated in their booking site. Slept well.

Lovely view, long walk to toilets

Barker, Amy - 21/07/2026

4

We had a lovely stay here, very self service didn’t see any workers for the 48 hrs we were there. Campsite was a small field with a lovely view of the ocean. Only reason we wouldn’t visit again is due to the long walk to the toilets.
