Peaceful, idyllic location within reasonably easy walking distance (through the woods)to the local beach and cafes. Not fancy, but clean and well equipped cabins. The size of the cabins vary, and may need a little tlc (there were some damp patches after a particularly heavy downpour), but you can't ask for a quieter place to stay and chill. Plenty of green and pleasant land.
Beautiful location with a beautiful view from the lodge. The grounds were kept immaculately. Our lodge was clean but very dated, shabby, and tired. Mould in the sealant around the sink area in the bathroom and in the kitchen and surrounding the shower/bath. The kitchen was particularly shabby with very few kitchen utensils, so much so that I didn't cook in the lodge. The Pembrokeshire coastline is beautiful and the lodge lotation is ideal for exploring surrounding areas. Highly recommend a boat trip from Tenby to Caldey Island, Stackpole Quay NT where you can walk through the lily ponds to Bosherton. The walled garden at Stackpole is lovely and well worth a visit and of course Barafundle Bay.We loved the beach at Broad Haven and Little Haven and our dog had ours of fun on the beach. Good pubs in Little Haven. We discovered a tiny farm shop nearby in Nolton stocking gifts and produce from Pembrokeshire. The shop is run by two lovely ladies who bake cakes on site. Cakes are
On arrival as we’re in our late 60s we found the downhill grass slope to our lodge tricky especially with our luggage.General facilities were very clean & well equipped. The kitchen was impressive for a self catering property. The local area was outstandingly beautiful and the beach at Broadhaven would have been delightful in the sunshine.Unfortunately our time was marred by strong winds and persistent rain.
Stayed in a lodge for a week .absolutely beautiful site, very clean and staff very helpful, lovely walk down to the beach. Definitely be back next year.
We love Timber Hills you can cut the peacefulness with a knife. It is perfect for young families, we are not one any more but our son has one and loves the place.
Great location and fabulous cabin. Very clean and well presented. Everything you need is there.Close to all the popular places to visit and plenty of good pubs with food to drive too. Grat for the muddy paws guests too. Fields and beaches always near.Hopefully back in 2027.
We have stayed many times. Very dog friendly and our dogs favourite place. Short trip to beach. Lovely views.
We had a really enjoyable stay at Timber Hill with our grandsons (aged 10 and 8). They loved the chance to explore independently, meet new friends and use the games room when it rained too hard to be outside. Despite the very changeable weather, we walked through the woods to Broad Haven, playing on the rope swings, rock pooling and body-boarding on the beach and enjoyed fish and chips and the YHA cafe. We had a wonderful view from the cabin and watched bats and the stars into the night. The cabin was clean, wifi was decent, smart tv worked when needed, kitchen was fine. The bathroom was small and more storage for toiletries would have been helpful, but the shower was efficient and hot water available ( pressure a bit low on the hot water). Everyone we spoke to on site was friendly and helpful. No complaints and I suspect we’ll be back, hopefully when the weather is better!
We loved staying at Timber Hill. Facilities were great for our children and dogs. We had an incredible view from our lodge, which was very well equipped.
