The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Cannot speak highly enough of this site, it is extremely well kept. The pitches are nicely spaced so that yo udo not feel on top of each other. Great location on the south side of Rutland Water, lovely walks for dogs, or if you are more energetic and fancy a bike ride. We will be back for sure.
Lovely site with views over Rutland Water easily accessible from the South Road only a short distance from one of Rutland Water's amenity car parks.
excellent location for short break at Rutland water,
Excellent site for accessing Rutland water plenty of nice walks close by
From the moment I arrived the site was cool , very organised and smart and laidback.l shall certainly be going back, it’s a great place for walking with the dogs, and located right next to the reservoir. And a good pub very near .
Been to this site many times and it's an ideal place for peace and quiet in comfortable surroundings. No facilities on site but has water taps, a waste disposal point and electricity. A short walk to the RSPB centre for Osprey viewing. It overlooks Rutland Water with magic walks and cycle rides round the lake. The site is abundant with bird life. The owner Jason keeps the site looking immaculate and has installed hardstanding pitches everywhere. Also has a road around the site so no chance of sinking a vehicle in wet grass. An adult only campsite and a really relaxing place to enjoy a holiday. The friendly owner visits most days to check up on anything needed and has an information hut with things to do around this lovely Rutland county. The owner also runs the local pub (The Fox, North Luffenham) which is about 3 miles away and well worth a visit. This is a gem of a campsite and long may it remain reasonably priced. A must visit adult only secluded site overlooking Rutland Water
We spent a couple of nights at this site to try out our new E bikes around Rutland Water. The site is very nicely laid out and very clean & tidy with views over Rutland water. It's in a great location to access the cyle path. We walked to the Horse & Jockey pub at Manton for a drink on the evening and also visited the garden centre. We would definitely return as love this area.
Warmly welcomed by the site owner/manager.Beautiful views from a well-kept campsite. Hardstanding pitches, so no need to worry about getting your vehicle stuck in mud in the rain.Lovely cycle ride around the reservoir.
We really enjoy staying here. Jason is so helpful with local information and visited daily while we were there to personally greet new arrivals. We visit for the cycling, a lovely easy ride around the reservoir, 17 miles in total so a good distance! The only tiny negative, we couldn't see the full view from the viewing platform as the hedge in front of it obscured things. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again if touring the area in the future.
