A beautiful, quiet site with fantastic activities for young children if you pay extra for a wrist band. We especially loved the little stream by the mill ♥️.

Lovely farm

Saxton, Katie - 01/06/2024

The site was well maintained, toilets regularly cleaned! Maybe a communal freezer to refreeze ice blocks would be handy, we came with friends in a caravan this time so it wasn’t an issue but if we came alone it would be. Our biggest problem was the lack of compliance with quiet time,

Great place

We have come here every year for the last 3 years to camp with friends and always had a lovely time. David the onsite camping manager is always extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would highly recommend. Toilet black at top triangle would be a fantastic addition as it's a fair way to walk especially with children.

Unclean

Saunders, Leon - 23/05/2024

The chemical disposal point was the most neglected and disgusting filthy facility I have ever seen in my life. Excrement rotting and overflowing. Truly appalling. I do not trust the cleanliness of this place based on that alone. I cannot go anywhere near it again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience. I have spoken with our Camping Warden, and they were not aware of any issues with the chemical disposal point during your stay. We take cleanliness very seriously and strive to maintain all facilities to a high standard. This isn't an issue that we've previously experienced. Do you have any further information or photos that you can share with us so that we can report it back to the waste company that looks after this for us at all?

Great venue

Long, Tracy - 18/05/2024

We were visiting Peterborough for the weekend to see a show in our campervan. We had not booked anything as we like to be spontaneous. We were actually on our way to check out another site further out of the city, when we spotted the signage for camping. We left the main road and instantly felt like we were in the country, so perfect location for a bit of peace and not too far from the city centre. The pitch for non electric was just £25 and there was nt an astronomical fee for having a van rather than a tent like most sites. The staff were very Friendly and welcoming, and a grounds maintenance gentleman came straight over to us and gave us advice about the facilities and barrier code which is needed to access the site after hours. The showers and toilets were very clean and there is an option to have a cooked breakfast. There seems plenty to do for families in the centre. We did find the booking site confusing though if you just want to camp trying to remove the compulsory extras

Excellent Camping experience

Pambakian, Joel - 14/05/2024

Loved camping here and we will definitely be back! The site were so accommodating and allowed our group of 5 parties to camp together even though some had booked electric pitches and others hadn't. Facilities were good - showers were hot and toilets were clean, and having the farm/soft play available was perfect. When we return I will definitely be doing some of the workshops they have available too!

Lots to do

Smith, Rachel - 15/04/2024

Another great stay at Sacrewell. There's so much for the children to do on site, with indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy. Pitches are good sizes and the area is kept clean. We enjoyed pizza on the Saturday which was delicious. An option to pre-order some basics (perhaps through their own supplier) would be amazing - bread, milk etc. There is a garage very close by but a nightmare to get out of on very busy road. Some tailored experiences for campers would also be something we'd happily pay for, such as a tour with someone who's going round to settle/feed animals in the evening or morning. There's a great stream the kids can enjoy so would recommend bringing swimwear/swim shoes. Ferry Meadows and Burghley House are both easy to get to and well worth a visit. And we found a lovely pub for food just 10mins drive away - Fox and Hounds in Longthorpe. Would definitely recommend Sacrewell and will be back in the summer.

A revisit with grandchildren

Togher, Andrea - 15/04/2024

The showers were beautifully clean, but on the second morning they were intermittent, which made it difficult to get soap out of long hair. The farm itself always delivers with activities, cleanliness and friendliness. One big disappointment for my grandchildren is that there is no longer a handling session for the rabbits and guinea pigs. This was always their highlight when they visited. We love Sacrewell farm and the way you can feel right out in the countryside surrounded by animals and you are only a few minutes from the A47 is quite remarkable.I always feel that the children are safe, and they have been given more and more responsibility over the years. They now go off on their own and do the washing up!

2 night Easter camping

Walker, Lisa - 12/04/2024

First time camping here, but not first time visitors. We already love the park and have been a few times. Was a very windy couple of nights during storm Katrina, and I guess most people chose not to camp as only a few of us braved it with the predicted weather. Toilets & showers nice and clean & well lit. Would be ideal to have a toilet near the showers as wasn't ideal to let the 5 year old go back off on their own to toilet whilst i was still in the shower!
