Sacrewell is a yearly visit for us, its a lovely place with lots of open space for the kids to play and be outdoors, toilet and shower facilities are ok but not great, toilets aren't cleaned often enough and certainly weren't while we were there Friday - Sunday It would be great if they allowed campers to use the bottom end where the stream is after the farm has closed as its a lovely place to sit and have time with the kids when the mass of visitors have left, we did ask if possible but it wasnt We had breakfast in the cafe on Sunday morning, which unfortunately was disappointing, kids had pancakes which were clearly shop bought, it was listed as a type of bread that sounded like it was local baked but the bread was standard white and stale even when toasted. but overall it is a great place we love camping at
Another fantastic stay at Sacrewell. The kids love the freedom to play. Pitches are spacious and there's open space for them to run around. And there's lots to keep them entertained in the farm, including a lovely little stream area they they can paddle in. From a camping point of view there are a few things that I think would elevate the experience a bit more. Suggestions include offering a lunch pre-order (and pay) service during cafe opening hours for campers. And perhaps breakfast baps, or opening the café a little earlier at weekends to accommodate campers. If there was room at the 2 sink areas for a small freezer for ice blocks that would be amazing, especially in hot weather. And we did wonder whether joining staff either in the morning or evening to observe animal feeding might be an option in the future? No complaints, just ideas!
A lovely little campsite right next to the farm, plenty of space
Really family friendly site with great countryside views. Good size pitches with toilets/showers and wash stations. Good value for money. There's a play area for kids to use.
The site is easy to find and well signposted from the road and an ideal spot for an overnight stay if visiting the farm or local area. The staff were friendly and very helpful; the facilities clean and well maintained. The recommended pub in nearby Wansford was excellent. Thank you
We had a lovely stay at Sacrewell farm, we stayed with friends and we both have toddlers who loved the animals, park, play barn and most of all playing in the stream. It was very peaceful on the campsite and we would love to come back. Only downside is there isn’t really anywhere to get ready, put your toiletries, no plugs or hairdryers so the facilities could do with a slight improvement. Also the farm/park closes at 4.30 so would be great if it was open a little later. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back!
Nice site, very spacious pitches for big Motorhome with electric. Lots of space as weekend was not as busy as it gets sometimes from other comments. The farm park and play areas are great, only negative I have is animal pens/fields could do with more animals and more description boards about the animals. I was ok as grew up on a farm but limited info for others.
They had an amazing tme, so much to do.
Our grandchildren love camping there and this year she has chosen camping at Sacrewell with Grandad and grandma for her birthday treat, now age 8. We love it as it’s back our childhood times with children to run free, enjoy the animals, the stream as well as the play barn and play areas. For our family it’s the perfect treat.
We love camping here and do actually return each summer. I wish the camping toilets and showers would be upgraded though and better lit at night time. It would be fab if there was something on a bit later for campers also. It is a lovely camping space though and we have no pitching issues.
