Great campsite. Only downside were the number of rabbit holes and the showers. The shower I used had very little pressure and the drain was blocked, but it was hot so can't complain too much. There are 3 other showers which I didn't use which were probably fine! The rabbit scrapes and holes were interesting in the dark even with a torch.
We absolutely love staying here, such friendly staff and such a lovely location. Lovely play area for children, warm showers and clean toilets. there isn't anything not to like!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're over the moon that you love staying with us and that our staff, location, and facilities make your visits so enjoyable. It's wonderful to hear that the children's play area and the clean, warm facilities add to your experience. We can't wait to welcome you back for more great stays!
Great for families, dog walkers or anyone visiting the area. We have been several years running whilst attending Burghley horse trials. Well kept campsite with good facilities and friendly accommodating warden. Great access from A1 and in to Burghley

Easy booking process, a friendly welcome, well kept level pitches. Super dark sky at night, peaceful and quiet. Excellent.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you had a smooth booking experience and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, level pitches, and the beauty of the dark night sky. We hope to welcome you back soon!
The only thing is we're you leave the leftover sand . I would do a sand pit on the inside of the fence as the kids love playing in it and the cost would be just a bit of time.
Hi Ian,Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.Unfortunately as this sandy area is so close to the road we wouldn't advise for children to play in here.
Excellent place to stay with kids. Lots to do abs lovely setting. Camp shop would be appreciated and some more options on the cafe menu. We will be back!
Thank you for your feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed the farm, playgrounds, soft play, and activities. We appreciate your comments about the main building and café. We're always looking for ways to improve, so I'll be sure to pass this onto our Management Team.Your thoughts on extended hours and the idea of a camp shop are also helpful, and we'll take them into account. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts :)
I went with my Grandchildren and we stayed in our caravan. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. There were so much to do and it was an extra bonus that the entry to the farm was included. The amenities was really good. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast in the cafe. The farm itself has so much variety. The children loved the soft play, art and crafts, climbing frames, sand pits, obstacle courses and the walks through the farm to see all the animals. There were parts we didn't even get to visit as my grandchildren didn't want to leave the activity they were busy with. They loved it and we will definitely be back.
The site was fantastic in terms of play facilities - the park, the stream, the soft play etc. The farm wasn't as big as I'd expected, there wasn't much for the children to see but the play areas/tractor ride/soft play/stream etc all made up for it and the children weren't overly fussed about the animals because there was so much else to do. Members of our group did encounter rudeness from two older staff members which was a shame and the wristbands were a faff - could we not have had stamps on our hands or something because the younger children did not like wearing the wristbands at all and I wanted to get rid of mine as soon as I could because it was damp and grubby. More showers for the number of campers would be useful too and a few items in the shop such as small cartons of milk to buy would be useful as we had to drive to the local garage to get milk (no EHU so milk had to be bought daily). The staff in the café were absolutely lovely and the disco put on when it rained was fa
We have been coming for over 4 years & have always raved about Sacrewell. This year (Aug bank holiday w/end) we were severely disappointed. The courtyard was dead, all of the unique businesses had left & it felt desolate. Nothing to do in the evenings as nothing was open. Although the leaflet says there is a bar in the evenings there was no such thing. Years prior we would sit & have a drink from the gin bar, but & make chocolate at the shop & talk to Roland after the children had made kites in his space or painted plant pots. Activities for the children last year were out of this world, so many to choose from & so interactive. This year was supposed to be fairies & Dragons, no idea where or what that was. They had an uninspiring room with just random empty boxes for fort building. Wand making in another sparse room with a box of sticks & some pieces of wool, then lawn games which consisted of bean bag throwing (which my little one loved) & 2 bulls eyes for toy archery.
It would be great to have toilets in the site near pitch 18. The showers are also a little basic by these pitches. We stayed over bank holiday weekend and it would of be lovely to have the pizza facility open on more than one night. Also perhaps a perk of campers get access to the farm 30mins before general public.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you chose to stay with us over the bank holiday weekend. We appreciate your suggestions regarding the facilities near pitch 18. We'll certainly take this into consideration as we continue to improve our site. The idea of opening the pizza facility more frequently is a great one, and we'll pass this feedback onto our friends at Origin 8 who run the cafe. As for early access to the farm for campers, I'll share this with our Management team. Thanks again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back soon!
