The pitch is hard standing, gravel topped to allow for awning pegs to pass through and each pitch is adequate enough to accomodate a large van, awning and vehicle on the hard pitch alone. Always nice to have a lakeside pitch with fishing peg.

Tilley, Granville - 16/04/2024

On arriving wasn't impressed at having to navigate the caravan around the amount of very large pot holes on the road leading to the site gate. Also the site looked a little untidy and unkept. Liked the fact that the pitches were a good size and was nice to be side on to the lake. Fishing was good with a good variety of fish caught. Staff friendly and helpful, will definitely book again.

Basic but adequate

Vickers, Heidi - 16/04/2024

The campsite was perfectly adequate, great base for exploring the surrounding area, however with a little attention I thought it could be great. The potholes on the drive down could really do with some attention for starters. We stayed on the family site, none of the pitches were numbered. Admittedly they weren’t many but it’s the little details. When we checked in, no one told us the restaurant did take away and seeing how dogs aren’t allowed in the this would’ve been really good to know because the breakfast we had sat outside was delicious. As an alternative maybe turn the wooden building opposite into a dog friendly option for the restaurant. The facilities were basic but clean and the staff were great and being just half an hour away we would probably visit again

The cafe style restaurant has a french feel about it and being able to get a beer or glass of wine with your meal is a bonus.Would I recommend - well we have booked to go back for the May Day bank holiday weekend - so I guess that says it allEnjoy peeps!

A beautiful retreat

Taylor, Allison - 08/04/2024

What a find, we loved our stay here. Very welcoming when booking in, great sized pitches. Quiet with very easy access to Market Harborough and further afield. Within walking distance to the local pub. Located next to the cycle track, however cycling on the road isn’t too bad either.Cafe/restaurant/ bar on site is so friendly and the food is scrumptious.

Lovely welcome, great food.

Harrison, Claire - 08/04/2024

We just turned up and were very lucky to get the last space. Owners and staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The onsite Cafe/Restaurant was open and we booked a table for the evening meal and had a fantastic steak dinner. Campsite is on the Brampton Valley way walk and we had a lovely 45min stroll into Market Harborough the next day. Would highly recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the area.

Covert good site

Only criticism is it could do with somewhere to put your shampoo etc in the ladies shower as against putting them on the floor. Everything else is fine especially the freshly cooked breakfast.

Easter break at Waterloo Farm

Pardoe, Julie - 05/04/2024

Easy to find using Google Maps. Lovely clean site. Easy walks close by to Mrlton Mowbray one way and other villages in the opposite direction. Lovely friendly service. We had take away Sunday lunch which was delicious. Hot showers. Clean toilets. Could do with another dog waste bin as the one on site was over flowing on the Sunday, or perhaps just emptied more often. There were lots of people fishing so a great spot if you enjoy fishing. Looking forward to a return visit.
