The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Amazing site, very clean and tidy, lovely walks, staff very friendly letting us know what’s going on in the local area, close to Rutland water, great pubs to have a meal, lovely local shop in Edith Weston selling a variety of fresh produce. Will definitely stay again.
Unfriendly old man who greeted us. The owner was very accommodating the next day.
Hi DeborahThis is the unfriendly old man who greeted youYou failed to mention that you had booked a pitch without electric hookup but on arrival had decided to attach a series of cables to the hookup on the next pitch, and commenced to use electricity you had not paid for. When I pointed this out you blamed our website for not stating that the pitch you booked didn't have hookup. We do actually assume that, in these modern times, most of our guests can read and understand a basic description of the facilities on offer. You are not the first to make the error but others have always admitted their mistake apologised and sought a solution, which has always been found.I will lead by example, apololise and seek a solution.I am sorry you found me to be unfriendly, that's the apology. If you don't come back and we never meet again - there's the solutionKind regardsBrian
We've stayed at the site several times, and always found it to be well maintained and the addition of hard standing has improved the availability during wet weather, but the pitches are large enough that you have the option to pitch on the hard standing or grass. Pitches are very well spaced out, so you rarely hear any noise from other guests and overall is a lovely tranquil site. The owners take time to welcome all visitors and are on hand if needed. The location is ideal to explore all areas of Rutland, including the nature reserve, for which there is a charge via the RSPB visitor site. There is a garden centre next door, or the local pub; The Fox at North Luffenham always delivers a fantastic meal
The site was clean and tidy with good hardstanding pitches. Lovely peaceful location.
Have stayed several times before, love the area for walking and cycling. Site lovely location next to lake very well kept site, easy booking facilities and owner very attentatuve. Plenty of nice restaurants in the area, we love walking round Hambleton peninsular and eating at Finches arms. Nice day out. Lovely rolling countryside for biking away from lake and circular great ride around Rutland waters
A clean, well kept site. Perfect for scenic views and a peaceful break. Owners very friendly but let you get on with your stay unless you need them. Plenty of lovely places to visit in the area. Please note there is electricity, water and waste disposal but as its so rural there are no showers or toilets which is fine if you use you're own.5☆ from us!
Great site, great walks, excellent pubs. What’s not to like?
We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. It's a lovely peaceful site with plenty of bird life to listen to and wonderful views across the reservoir. Easy access to the nature reserves and one of the days there we cycled the perimeter and visited both nature reserve sites. Lots going on, plenty of cafes and facilities around the reservoir. And we sat the ospreys and loads of other birds. A lovely, relaxing weekend.
Lovely tidy site overlooking the water with easy access and large hardstanding pitches with plenty of grassy space either side.
