The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.

There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.

Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.

Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.

It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.

As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Well kept quiet adults only site

A return stay for us in our motorhome in order to attend a family wedding at a nearby venue. The site has been improved since our last visit with hardstandings and adjacent grass pitches and a hard gravel road. Immaculately kept grounds, pitches are nicely spaced each with water and electric. Clean facilities for rubbish and waste. We know from previous visits there is easy access to Rutland Water paths for walking and cycling including bird watching hides. There are also excellent pubs and cafes in the local area.

We Stayed four nights. Lovely Spacious pitches, very quiet and relaxing. Fox pub is very nice and does cracking food nearby and site is owned by the same people. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Weather was superb again though I realise not guaranteed lol. Possible improvement a toilet block maybe but all in all a cracking site. We will be back.

Very well maintained site full of birds, nature and peace. Easy access to the bike trails of Rutland Water and local pubs. Site owner Jason was very helpful and informative. Great facilities even though no toilets or showers which is totally fine as everyone is self sufficient.

Very picturesque site. Well maintained, grass was better than my lawn. Responsible recycling, not too many unnecessary rules which can become tedious, I would think all the visitors to this site are respectful of their neighbours.

Site owner very friendly, access to site very good. Local area is beautiful countryside on the banks of Rutland Water. Stamford only a short drive is well worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed. Recommend Jason’s pub, The Fox at North Luffenham, good food and friendly people, customers and staff alike.

Great site

Fry, Kate - 23/05/2026

This was only my second trip in my campervan and I couldn't have picked a better site. Directions and access were accurate. The site is flat, open and neat and tidy. Pitches were well spaced and there were adequate water taps and waste facilities. For me the best feature is the nature reserve being a two minute walk away. I am a birder so the many bird hides overlooking Rutland Water are a real draw, and the campsite's location is perfect.Interestingly there was plenty of activity on the site - bird boxes being used by bluetits, red-legged partridges wandering in from the hedge and I also saw a Barn Owl.The site has no shower block - if it had one I would stay longer!I had a great time and will return.
