The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Had a lovely 3 night stay when I cycled round Rutland Water and visited nearby Oakham. Also enjoyed going for a coffee at the Nursery just down the road. Will definitely come again.
Very friendly, lots of space, somewhere for off lead dog walk so perfect for us.
Lovely and Secluded and quiet..it's perfect to stay and explore, especially on bikes...Just a shame no facalities...But then again, we did know this before we booked...
A well maintained site. Jason is friendly and helpful and works extremely hard both on site and at The Fox in North Luffingham. Meals are atmosphere at The Fox is second to none. Certainly recommend it.Lovely walks around the area and a garden centre and pub in walking distance. We return every year and will continue to do so. Our happy place.
This is a great site for adults only, suitable for short or long stays in a wonderfully peaceful location.
Lovely place. We'll managed. Right on the doorstep of a conservation area. Lovely walks and cycle rides in close proximity to the sight. Easy to find. Cafe nearby. Bus stops at the end of the lane and a decent pub in walking distance.
We have stayed at the Paddock several times. As always, we were welcomed by the owner on arrival as old friends and given a booklet about the area. The site is immaculate and the views gorgeous. As a trailer tent camper, showers and toilets would make the site 5*, but we understand the reasons and accept the slight inconvenience for the peace and quiet. We came this time for the Rutland Flower Show which was a lovely day out. We also enjoy watching the kites hunting above the site.
Very clean and nice and quiet. The lack of any toilet and shower facilities was a real shame. If the pitches were fully serviced, that would have helped. But there you go, live and learn. First time for us having to rely on the caravan for everything. Plenty to do locally, nice pubs in the area. Recommend the Wheatsheaf and the Horse and Jockey, didn't make it to their own pub, the Fox, as they're not open lunchtime! Will return to the area, possibly at a site that has facilities.
Hi AlanThank you for your review I am pleased that you enjoyed visiting our lovely county. We do emphasise on our website that we do not have toilet and showers so that everyone is aware prior to making a booking. If I could also just clarify for future guests who may read your review that The Fox does open lunchtimes with the exception of Monday and Tuesdays.Kind regardsJason
A1 site for adults.Access to a myriad of cycle tracks and walks with local places to eat and drink.site owner Howard checks daily and is very helpful with all the local knowledge and events
Beautiful campsite, very spacious pitches and the whole site was very neatly kept, good recycling facilities emptied every day . Jason came and met us on arrival day, made us welcome & shared places to visit with us. We had booked 6 nights but extended to 8 as it was so lovely. I must mention Brian , Jason’s dad who very efficiently handled our extra bookings . Highly recommend and we will definitely go back . 5 star ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
