We go every year some time 2 or even timesWe love it here it is so quiet and peaceful over looking the lake. The area is like stepping back in time, beautiful thatched cottages and Oakham itself a quaint little market town. The owners are so warm and friendly ( we love them) they will do anything to help. Jason also owns a pub the Fox that does excellent food already booked for next year

Great situation for cycling walking and nature. Large spacious pitches with only basic facilities ie water, waste and electric.

We are frequent visitors to the Paddock, have always found the site clean& tidy, very well presented, add to the excellent host(s) especially Brian, one could not wish for more. One of the most accommodating sites. Long may we be welcome there, total credit to the owners.

Sitting on the Rutland water cycleway the Paddock was easy to find and first impressions were of a clean, tidy, spacious and private site. Using the site as a base for various local Heritage walks & cycle routes, we were very happy with its placement for Rutland water cycleway and well placed for local routes, utilising the generally quiet local roads. There are a number of easy to access Public Houses & a local village store plus garden centre within walking distance.Whilst the site doesn't have a shower block or toilet facilities, knowing this in advance allows for planning or the reliance on your vehicles facilities. It is never the less good value for money.

Great location above Rutland water within easy walking of one of the visitor centre’s. The pitches are large, each one having a hard standing if required or the use of grass. EHU and water available at multiple points The only improvement that can be made is the installation of a toilet block.

We were very impressed on arrival on how clean, tidy and spacious the pitches were. We had a really relaxing time the owners came to meet us and introduce themselves and we extended our stay for an extra two days.We will be back 😊

Perfect location for us, wishing to enjoy exploring Rutland on foot and by car plus cycle rides direct from the site. A friendly and helpful welcome from the owner of this clean and tidy site.

What a great stop. Rutland delivered and the site was clean well kept and quiet. With easy access to Rutland for both walking and cycling. The pub was lovely as was the food. Would go again.
