The Paddock at Rutland water is an adult only touring caravan and motorhome retreat for the discerning traveller. Set in 4 acres, with 15 generous grass pitches you can be assured of a relaxing and peaceful stay.
Walking and cycling around the reservoir is a wonderful way to pass some time whilst taking in the views and spotting rare wildlife.
There are many local amenities and with the villages of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford a short drive from the site you have everything you need for a memorable visit.
Visit local attractions and eateries, including the award winning quintessential Fox country pub, located only 3 miles away in the quaint village of North Luffenham, booking advisable.
Rutland is the smallest county in the UK and with the appropriate motto Multum-in-Parvo (Much in little) there is something for everyone.
It is because of these reasons we are normally booked up well in advance therefore to ensure you are not disappointed, book your next stay with us today.
As we do not have toilets or shower facilities on site, guest’s need to be self sufficient in this regard. We do however provide chemical toilet emptying facilities, recycling provision, mains water and electric hook up points (optional).

Always a friendly greeting, very efficient, clean site. Close to the reservoir & Centre for Osprey surveillance.
This is a very well maintained site. The only thing I feel I must point out is that the views showed on the photograph, are not there. We had booked the site based on the view of Rutland Water, and because of mature hedges, we had no view whatsoever.
Definitely go again
A lovely site, well kept with huge grass pitches. Good access to Rutland Water, Oakham and surrounding areas
It was our first time on a cl site and we were very happy with the site and amneaties. It was ideal to walk or cycleAround the lake. Would return some time soon
This is our third stay at the Paddocks, we were able to choose our pitch in advance, the site is very well kept. The owners are approachable and greet you on arrival. This is a very peaceful site, although there were dogs on site they were kept under control and no barking (we are not dog lovers) same goes for the human campers no loud music or late night BBQ's (we do like some humans).Great place to go exploring from local villages, towns, lots of footpaths to walk as well as the Rutland Water to cycle or walk round. Particularly, liked the pub in Manton for ale and food.
Staff very helpful grate walks . Near by pubs great food. Golf club 15 minutes walk bar open to the public good beers
The Paddocks is a lovely well kept and restful site. It is an ideal base for Rutland water and surrounding local attractions. Would highly recommend
We stayed here for 2 nights as a stop over but could have stayed longer. Beautifully kept site with nice large pitches. Great views to Rutland Water and an easy walk to the nature reserve where the Osprey can be viewed (when they are here).Attentive when needed and very friendly staff. We shall be back next year (along with the Osprey we hope)
Our stay at this campsite would have been lovely. Quiet peaceful spot. Huge pitches. Very friendly owner. However, on our second day, a caravan arrived and parked opposite us, and for the two nights remaining (of 3) we had to tolerate their TV turned up to very loud, ALL evening. It was very hot, and most of us were outside enjoying the swallows, but, because they had their windows open, this pleasure was drowned out by the Great British Sewing Bee, plus much more, every word of which we could hear. I didn't want to make a scene, and didn't see why I should go over to ask them to be a little more considerate. One should NOT have to. The campsite advocates PEACE and QUIET. I do not understand why such people come to a campsite to wreck if for those who want just peace and quiet. As we left, we had a word with the people next door to us, and they too had been enraged by the TV racket. There should be some very visible rules as one enters, to say NO loud noise whatsoever.
Hi SarahThank you for your comments. It seems you have chosen to review your neighbours rather than the camp site. However we are concerned that your stay with us fell short of your expectations. We do receive many compliments regarding the peace and tranquility offered by our site.On arrival we meet and greet our guests and always invite them to report any problems or issues that may arise so we can help.Unfortunately you chose not to do this. Had you brought the situation to our attention I'm sure it would have been resolved without delay.I trust that, with the exception of the one issue you have raised, you enjoyed your stay with us.Kind regardsBrian & Jason Allen
