Nice to see that space and tranquility came before profit (ie packing in more pitches.)

Plenty of space on pitches. Lovely site. Very quiet and friendly. Owner just checks you are ok and leaves you alone. Would definitely recommend.

For those that have independent facilities, this is the perfect adult retreat. Ideally sited close to Rutland Water it provided us with an excellent base to explore. The friendly greeting was welcome with all local information given vocally, accompanied with a current events brochure. We had a great day cycling the reservoir perimeter with a boat ride, then dinner in The Fox, just 10 minutes away on the bikes. Great value. Water, grey waste and black tank facilities all present together with EHU, perfect.

What a hidden jewel. Our stay here, due to business at the Normanton hotel was an absolute delight. First impression was if we had pitched in the grounds of Chatsworth. A well looked after site with acres of room per pitch. Well done Paddock.

I had to ask a few questions just before our stay and they replied promptly. Easy place to find. Bin and waste area very clean. Very quiet. We came for the Global bird fair which was just across the lane. Had one meal out in Manton, very nice food.

Fantastic site with views to Rutland Water. Pitches very generously spaced out. New hard standing for all the pitches although the rabbits don’t seem to approve! Wonderfully clean and tidy. Owner very welcoming. We will be back!!

Lovely views of Rutland Water, easy walks

Lovely private and small well kept site well worth a visit to explore Rutland area.

The pitch we were allocated was part hard standing which was excellent. The whole site was very well kept and clean. The location close to Rutland water was ideal for us. The site manager was very friendly and helpful. We travelled in our Motorhome, my only very minor suggestion would be to consider a dedicated wastewater discharge for Motorhomes with fitted wastewater tanks.

This was our second visit to this site. Have already booked the next! The new hard standings are excellent and in no way detract from the beauty of the field location. This is a perfect place for cycling around Rutland Water and the peninsular.
