St Helens Caravan Park, North Yorkshire, England

St Helens Caravan Park is a large 36 acre campsite offering 100 touring pitches – most of which are hardstanding – including 30 adult only pitches in a quiet zone. The site is divided into terraces with tree screening creating smaller, more private areas – a feature which enables different areas of the park to vary in character and outlook. The terracing and landscaping suits the requirements of a wide range of caravanners and motorhomers.

As well as the park's adults only zone, they offer plenty of family pitches both hardstanding and grass with a number of play areas and open space for family activates. The park also have six acres devoted to Country Park for walking and relaxing – with animals to look at including pigs, sheep and our famous alpacas.

If guests fancy a truly unique camping experience the park offer a number of purpose built wooden pods. The pods will keep you warm in the winter months and cool in the summer due to fantastic insulation.

When we arrived to reception to collect our key for our pod (sunday 31st)the young lady on the desk had the most fantastic customer service, we were made to feel very welcome , she was lovely! The park is very Clean and well maintained. 15 minutes drive to Scarborough beach. 45 mins drive to whitby . Local shop couple of minutes drive

Lovely sight nice clean facilities only let down was the pizza night at the cafe, got told they had sold out 1.5 hours before the end and should of phoned an order, no where did it tell us or suggest we do

Landscaping was good and pitch that we were on was very large. The toilet block was supposedly newly refurbished but the building itself was scruffy paths around the building needed sweeping and this may have kept the floor inside a bit cleaner.toilet block was supposedly checked but I saw someone come in and just sign the sheet.Washing up area was filthy under the sinks needs sweeping and all cobwebs clearing. Laundry room was filthy.Enjoyed our holiday as the site is located in a perfect area. Dog walk was brilliant.

Another fantastic stay despite the weather! Stayed in a camping pod but also booked the adjacent tent pitch so that the teens had their own space - worked perfectly. We will definitely be back in the Autumn.

We stayed in a glamping pod and it was amazing just a shame the weather was terrible. The park for the kids is fantastic.

Everything was very clean and easy to access only thing I wasn't happy about was that on Saturday night it was pizza night we got told we didn't have to book them and when we went at 6.30pm they had no pizza bases leaving me and my family with no food so my husband had to go for a drive to the nearest takeaway.

A wonderfully tranquil site with wonderful amenities. Everything maintained to a high standard and while there were plenty of children about, including our own, their presence was hardly noticeable. Great dog walks and bike trails with bike washing facility a major bonus if muddy. Staff welcoming and helpful with necessities available in site shop. Yorkshire water park nearby was great break from routine activities.We would highly recommend the site and fully intend to return asap.

Excellent site, close to Scarborough Pickering and north Yorkshire Moors. Good size pitches, lovely play area and playing field for football and games. Very good cafe, reasonable prices. Love that it’s also close to a good spar and excellent fish n chip shop in east Sutton, five minutes away. No silly campsite rules, relaxed atmosphere . The only thing I’d suggest improving is the size of theSite shop. Well recommended
