Für Mai leer und gut.
It was a nice park very quiet. Grass could have been done with being cut in the tent area. Apart from that it was clean and tidy. Unfortunately when I went for a shower within the guide times for hot water the water was cold. Bathrooms were clean and tidy
The place is easily checked in as it's unmanned and just requires a pin, it's what it is
A good site, overall, good sized pitches, dog friendly. Within walking distance of the Lough, Antrim castle gardens and the town. Only down side is showers are only hot at certain times, never had that before, wanted a shower at 4 after a long walk, had to wait until 6:30, seems late in the day from 2:30 when previous hot water session ends. Showers should be available anytime to meet everyone's needs.
Good site with facilities. Only downside i noticed was position of facilities, as tents seemed to be furthest away from them and they probably needed the toilets etc to be closer.
Stayed for 2 nights over the May bank holiday weekend 2026. Six Mile Water is a reasonable sized touring caravan park on the edge of Lough Neagh so plenty of wildlife about if you’re into that sort of thing. There’s a public play park right beside the entrance so plenty of fun for the children. There’s also the Boat House Cafe & Restaurant if you fancy dining out. Antrim Castle Gardens is only a 20min walk away along the river. There’s only bad point is there a reputation of travellers on the site who seem to just take a pitch of their own choosing but don’t bother anyone. The toilet & shower blocks are also your typical council maintained services so not as high a standard as a private park. All in all it was a decent enough break.
A nice area to stay for a short break. We stayed for the May Bank holiday weekend and the park was almost fully booked.Unfortunately the Warden didn't have the grass cut on the site which made it look as it wasn't cared for.Update on the facilities would be good as these are outdated.Gone are the days that there was staff on site and everything was tidy and clean.
The site is a good size, not too many pitches which suits us. Besides the electric and water hook up, each pitch has waste water disposal which is a great asset. There are a variety of walks including around Lough Neagh , along the river where you can spot Herons and an abundance if bird life, including a kingfisher if you're lucky, plus lovely walks through the grounds of Antrim Castle. It also boasts a Dog park. There is a great kids area and a small cafe selling mostly ice cream and cakes, plus a fabulous restaurant ,"The Boathouse". The facilities are clean and with keypad entrance to the park and facilities, it makes it exclusive to caravanners. We'll definitely be back.
Perfect location, very clean and very good facilities as: clean toilet and shower, hairdryer and dishwashing room. There are only 2 minuses: not allowed an open fire and the bathroom was very far away from our campsite especially for kids. Anything else was perfect. Thanks
