It would have been nice if there was a barrier on the entrance to the caravan park bit. We had young children cycling around and it would have been goood to know traffic had to stop on the way in.
This was a nice little site with a great play area for children and a lovely little village. It had lovely walks along the lough. Only thing I would say as when they refurbished they should have put a little more thought into it, the electricity point would be in the middle of your awning so we didn't use the awning and they should have put in water and waste water points at each pitch. Also would not return again in May or June because of the swarms of flies.
The work that has been done around the site has really improved the feel of the village and the site is as good as ever. Very hard to find anything to complain about.
Had a fantastic time at this site. Clean toilet and free showers. Washer and dryer available. On site coffee shop. Warden always available. Close to bars and local shops. Everyone very friendly. Kids loved the playpark. Had local Chinese carry out and chippy which were really nice. 3 fantastic friendly bars. Good value and small site. Marina and walks were good. Only downside were flies but they don't bite and it didn't really annoy us. Bbq area set up fir you so no need to bring your own
Only problem was finding chemical toilet disposal point. Needs a notice
Fabulous little campsite run by really nice staff on behalf of the council. Will definitely come back. 😊
