The facilities and the location make this a great place to stay. The food in the lighthouse bar was excellent and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Sands of luce is a beach side location with a bar/diner on site, kids playpark and a great place to tour around southwest Scotland.

Stayed in Static Caravan end of April Accommodation was excellent very clean beds where comfortable my wife and I and my dog Fletcher will definitely be back had take away meals from restaurant was also very good excellent value for money.

Great site next to lovely sandy beach, dog friendly. Clean facilities will stay again

Great wee site loved it could make a few changes though.We were on the dunes great pitch luckily got last pitch at front could maybe allocate pitch before arrival seen people move cars onto pitches waiting for friends to arrive later in the day. So anyone else arriving couldn't get on it.Tents are no longer allowed on this site but people putting up gazebos and event shelters it is my personal belief that if it is not attached to your van it should not be allowed. I had to phone twice about the noise and music after 9 which is quiet time was dealt with but maybe a warden could have a walk around after 9 Will return would like to book a pitch though.

Good pitches, fully serviced. Located near a sandy beach. On site facilities are good and well maintained. Beach, play area and duck pond nearby, which is great for wee ones. Lovely food in the on site restaurant, if a bit pricy. (£4.50 for a bacon roll!) Staff were friendly and helpful. On the whole, a very nice visit.

Great pitches with electric hook up, water and drain with lots of room between them.My only gripe is that the shower stalls are too small and clothes risk getting wet. Shoes will definitely get wet unless lifted up onto the bench as the whole floor gets soaked. Otherwise shower/toilet block is fine, it’s even solar powered!Bar/restaurant gets very busy and booking, even for the bar is essential unless you want to sit outside. Great children’s play area and pony rides and alpaca walks are a rare treat for the kids.Best of all are the views over the Solway Firth.

Great location. Very good amenities. On-site shop bar restaurant.The beach is in front of you with miles of open sands to play with. There’s a wee village within a short walk along the beach or the road that has a great pub/restaurant as well as a local shop. The site is perfectly placed for using as a base to visit other local attractions. Each pitch has a sea view and are fully serviced. The staff are all super friendly and keen that you have a fantastic holiday, however long you stay.If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful location then this is the place for you.
