Best facilities I have ever used on a campsite. Showers were great and pub and restaurant great
No hot water at all in the shower block for our whole stay, reception never open when we went to report it.On arrival to get 240v volt power I had to download an app on to phone to get connected, but the wifi signal and phone signal were so poor that the download failed after 30% of it downloaded on either wifi or phone, then tried my wife's phone and was able to get the app downloaded, half an hour of fiddling around just to get connected! What a farce! The wifi would not connect properly until the morning of our departure! When I arrived home found I had a charge of 97p on my card account, no idea what that was for as we had used far less than the daily allowance for electric.
Caravan was very clean, tidy and new.Reception staff incredibly helpful and friendly.Park is very well sighted and maintained.Restaurant staff incredibly helpful.7 mile beach on your doorstep, with views simply amazing. What more could you ask for, a family run site second to none. 👏👏👏👏👏 this is NOT your typically run park and definitely recommend you have a visit.
We love this beautiful well kept site which has excellent facilities and have been many times over last 8 years. We did not use restaurant as this has to be booked well in advance. The staff were very helpful on arrival as a new system for electric meter required to be set up as an App on phone. It was easy to connect to app at pitch for power, however, we did keep worrying that we were perhaps using more than our allowance which meant not the usual stress free time, however, we will be back and hopefully find this part less stressful.
Lovely site spotless. Lovely motorhome and caravan pitched great views . Great shower and toilet block. Visited the lighthouse for a meal which was lovely.
We stayed for 2 nights at the Sandsof Luce to visit my Dughter and grandchildren at the start of a tour of Scotland. Its well appointed and the facilities are very good. It is also very family oriented. Well worth a visit.
A return after 2 previous stays many years ago....touring site well spaced and close to spotless facilities. The Lighthouse bar was much improved and very welcomingFabulous beach for long dog walk or stroll into Sandhead.
We chose this location because it was recommended by a friend. We arrived at the park and were met with the friendly staff who told us our caravan was ready for us. We were in the dog friendly area because we had our two dogs with us. The van was spotless and exactly what we needed. The beach was a few minutes walk and it was absolutely stunning. The site was peaceful and well kept. We used the onsite restaurant one evening and it was nice. There was a play area and barn which the wee one loved. We also went to feed the animals on the small farm adjacent to the park. Stranraer is 10 minutes away and has all the shops you would need and also a leisure centre for swimming and soft play. We hope to visit again and would highly recommend.
Very easy to find. Lovely location, beautiful beach with a nice pub/ restaurant at the end of it.Thank goodness for the reception staff because I’d never have been able to navigate the electricity app. There is a very nice facilities block however it is solar powered so if it’s an early shower you want it would be a cold one. The club house was very popular with guests for meals and drinks so booking would be recommended. We stayed in the Dunes for touring caravans during Storm David. There was a power malfunction but it was speedily rectified. Overall a great holiday weekend.
Positive - Clean and tidy, friendly staff, beachNegative - restaurant, no hot water and cold toilets for two days, overpriced at bar
